Okay, well I have a friend that lives in Canada(Vancouver) and I live in Australia(Sydney).. We have been trying to text each other but it doesn't work. It sends, but neither of us get the messages. The beginning of my phone number is 04106(Etc) And his is 77824(Etc)... But I have to put the area code of +1 at the beginning, so it turns out to be +177824(Etc)... But it doesn't work.. What am I doing wrong? I have a friend in England. And those texts work..

Reason i said what i said was cause i to have a friend in canada and yet i can text him without a prob. But there is one reason you might not be able to, if your using a pre-paid phone you can't text to Canada. So that might be why it's not working.

well I live in ontario, and was in newyork city. I send less than 20 texts while there and it cost me about 15 dollars canadian. I didn't know...it was horrible xD it isnt overseas but it does cost you extra. alot extra. oh. dont text until she is well over the border into the US, she could still be picking up the signal from a canadian tower and it will still be expensive.
