Does Making Your Head Bald With A Razor Gives You Stronger And Healthy Hair.

Does shaving a person's head or getting bald help in hair growth and prevent hair loss?

There is a myth regarding shaving head roaming nowadays. As shaving a head totally does carry a lot of benefits to it.But, as per science, there is no evidence about shaving head is helpful in prevention of hair loss. But there are some benefits that I would like to mention. There are a lot of people who are suffering from hair loss due to dandruff. These people mostly shave their head which reduce the risk the severe dandruff. The next important thing is that a person can take benefit from the shaving head is the if need to clear the scalp. This is totally a person’s choice and many people are doing it. This will help to remove the dust particles which can get stuck onto the scalp due to pollution. These pollutants can cause a severe damage to the hair follicles resulting in the hair loss.Shaving of the head totally can help a person to eliminate all the dust grime and pollutants that are present on the scalp. These pollutants once removed can help for the better growth of hair for a person. But it will not means that it will help in hair loss completely. As their is no scientific evidence.

Does shaving head improve scalp and hair health?

If you take 1tsp of neem oil 3 tbsp of organic coconut oil or avocado oil, and 5 drops of lavender oil. Mix all ingredients well. Dip your fingers into the oil and gently massage into the scalp. Rinse after an hour or leave on over night for maximum results. This method is fantastic for any other hair and scalp related problems. It prevents further hair loss, promotes hair renewal and strong health Shiney hair. This should correct the pH balance of your scalp, excessive washing is drying it out causing it to flake and itch, without treatment the hair will become damaged possibly resulting in hair loss.

I have very thin hair and a bald spot on the crown of my head, what can I do to get thicker/more hair?

Your hair isn't thinning because you used a lot of hair gel. Your hair is thinning because you likely have pre-mature male pattern baldness.

I completely understand your being self-conscious about your hair at 16 years of age.

There are only two clinically proven, FDA approved therapies to combat hair loss. The rest, you are wasting your time and money.

They are:

1. Rogaine. This is available in the generic version from your local Wal-Mart store. It comes in a 3-bottle package that will last you approximately 3 months, and it is approximately $15. Rogaine generally doesn't make you grow more hair, but will definitely help retard further hair loss.

Be aware that you must continue to use Rogaine; there is a "rebound" phenonemon that can be experienced if you quit applying it, which can actually make your hair loss situation worse.

2. Propecia. This is actually a small dose (20 percent) of the drug PROSCAR, which is used to treat enlarged prostate. You can buy "Propecia" with a doctor's prescription and it is about $50 a month. A great way to cut this expense by 75 percent is just have your doctor write a prescription for PROSCAR. You then cut the tablets with a knife, one tablet into 5 pieces.

Like Rogaine, Propecia is much more effective in helping to STOP hair loss, but in some lucky folks, it will help regrow new hair.

I think the best approach is to consult your doctor, and if he agrees, start using BOTH approaches together. As young as you are, there is a decent chance that you will be able to grow more hair, since your hair follicles have not been dormant for long.

Good luck to you.

Does anyone find a girl with a shaved head attractive? How long will my hair take to grow to a decent length?

My grandma lost her hair to chemo just 4 months ago. She is not the thinnest person in the world either, with a kind of square face. But she looked absolutely beautiful while she was bald. She said she might as well make the effort to draw SOME attention away from her bald head, so she wore glamorous make-up (done up to the nines, she called it), and fluttery scarves around her neck. Nothiing covering her bald head though.

And when her hair started growing back in, it looked and felt like velvet for the first month. And then by the end of the second month, she just looked like she got her hair cut that way (it was about an inch long by then). Now her hair is over 2 inches long, and she's threatening to shave it all off again! But her hair never stuck out straight and prickly like a hedgehog (although I've been threatening to gel it now to make her look like one).

Does a shaved head make you look younger or atleast age that you are if you balding is significant?

I am 20 years old and it is obvious that i'm experiencing male pattern baldness because half of my frontal hairline is gone and a bald spot about the size of a peanut m & m is developing. i always kept short hair my whole life so it's not like i'm making a drastic change, but does shaving your head actually make a person look younger or atleast their present age if their balding is to the point where it starts to take away from your "teenage" look?

How long does it take to grow shoulder length hair after completly shaving the head?

Hey there Monica. :-)You have a completely shaven head. Hair on average grows a centimeter a month. Depending on where you live and the temperature, it can affect growth. Eating a protein rich diet also helps build stronger hair and growth. The thickness of your hair is a factor as well. The thicker the hair, the slower the growth. That's because the scalp is easier to stimulate with wind and sunshine. You stated that you have a “completely shaved head”. By that I'm assuming you used clippers and didn't use a razor down to the skin. Your hair will grow rapidly at first. In just under a year, you should be able to grow your hair to be a short bob.You haven't said if your hair is curly or straight. If it's straight you should get to a nice chin length at your bang's and past collar length at the back. Get regular trims. Trims help keep the new hair healthy and shaped as it grows in.It's important to get your hair shaped as it comes in so you don't get frustrated with it and want to cut it off again. Within a month of shaving hair off, you should be able to do a little forward directed pixie using pomade. Personally, I love really short hair on women. I find it shows off your facial features more dramatically. Confident. Play with it as it comes in so you have a style. You don't want to look like you are trying to grow your hair in.Would love to see what you come up with at each stage of growth. XO

At what age can I shave my baby's head to have her hair grow thicker?

I think this is some type of old Asian custom. They shave a baby's head at one year old to make it grow in thicker and stronger. I seriously doubt this works--your baby had his hair pattern/thickness/waviness/straightness, etc. genes from the time he was conceived, and shaving it to make it grow in thicker is an old wives tale. This being said, we actually shaved our second son's hair (with my husband's clippers and the #3 guard on them) at one year old, give or take a few weeks. We did this because his hair was growing into a mullet (LOL) and was starting to look pretty unruly. It was getting into this eyes, growing down the nape of his neck, and bothering him. He hated the clippers (scared him), but it worked. I don't know if it grew back thicker or not--it's been about 4 months now and it's definitely grown back, but it looks pretty much the same to me. Maybe a *little* thicker, but that could be because he's getting older and his hair is starting to thicken naturally. His older brother was a little cue ball from birth and didn't have the first strand of hair until he was nearly 18 months old. Now he's got a full head of thick, curly blonde hair. (We didn't do anything to it--it just grew in that way.) My younger son's hair is very fine and straight--reminds me of corn silk. :) As far as using an actual razor blade--I wouldn't do that at all. Likely that he/she will be nicked in the process.
