To be a bit more specific then greensboro, north carolina (: People say that they didnt have to pay anything since they have medicaid....the appointment its self cost $100 and in some other places $60 and thats alot. My friend said she didnt need an appointment when she ordered her contacts off of 1-800 contacts. idk please help

Now there’s $20 coinsurance balance.The office bills Medicaid for this $20, showing Medicaid the EOB statement that they already got $80 from Medicare.Medicaid has an allowable Fee Table as well for each belling code, and if that amount equals what the doctor was already paid (the $80), then there isn’t any additional payment from Medicaid.Hope I haven’t totally confused everyone.

You need to call the Walmart Vision Center you plan to visit and your Medicaid MCO (The company on your insurance card) if your state has them. Some Walmart's accept Medicaid, some don't. Vision benefits vary from MCO to MCO. The basic Medicaid benefit *shoud* cover your exam, single vision lenses (ie not bi or tri focals) and a limited number of frame options once every two years for adults. If you have an MCO, some offer richer benefits. I've seen some who will go so far as covering contacts even if they are not medically necessary.
Florida Pregnancy Medicaid Coverage.?
It's for pregnancy only. Which means any thing that pertains to pregnancy. Example: You go to the ER b/c you're having abdominal pain, they'll pay for it. You go to the ER b/c you're having dental pain. They won't pay for it, although the ER might file it. You call an ambulance for abdominal pain, Medicaid won't pay for the ambulance.
