Does Nixon Look Like Mother Theresa Next To Obama

Do all Republicans make Bill Clinton look like mother Teresa?

Well just another day and another case of Republican sex and corruption scandal. It seems that our good Mayor and the leading contender for the Republican candidate for president, was in the habit of sneaking away to the Hamptons (a vacation community about 90 miles from NYC and quite expensive) for a little fun and relaxation for his extra marital affairs. However, obviously he did not think that these excursions were worth paying for out of his own pocket, so he would find a little know city agency and bill them for his trips. I trust being a gentleman it was limited to travel expenses and did not include the cost of the entertainment. Please save you time and mine and exclude the universal reply of, “What about Clinton and Monica Lewinsky”. Perhaps for the sake of brevity you could just give it a number, example…”What about number 8?”
Will Hukabee bring this up in their next debate?

Why was Mother Theresa canonized as a saint?

Its their thing. They do it to people after they are dead so they cant refuse and, as another answer saud, it brings in money from other Catholics. And if you look at CC history being ‘saintly’ is not really a requirement for Sainthoid. You need to have done things the CC believes will be good PR and then perform three miracles after youre dead (as determined by a group of other catholics of course. That there are still supposed adults willing to stand up and publicly declare a dead person performed miracles and to do so with straight faces just flumoxes me though).

If we didn't have Mother Theresa, what would we compare good people to?

Dear Last Ent,

First, I must say that we have Jesus Christ as our example. He is God, yet became man to demonstrate the awsome love of God. The Bible states in Hebrews 4:15, "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."

I also wanted to name some women in the Bible who were saved (born-again) and loved and obeyed God. The life and works these women did are an example of how women or girls should live today. We read about Dorcas in Acts 9:38-40, "And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up."

If you read the book of Esther in the Bible, you will see the life of a woman that loved God and risked losing her life to save her people.

Another example is Ruth the Moabitess, who left her own country to ensure the well-being of her aged mother-in-law, now a widow. This is contained in the book of Ruth in the Bible.

And there are many more examples that I could state. The Bible is where you want to look though--it is the authority.

Does Islam have people like the Christian Mother Theresa that did so much for the poor?

Well, Mother Teresa and Catholic Priests are two examples of the small but extreme elements that make up the Catholic Church. Islam has many many more imams and mother Teresa's but they are more moderate in their contribution to society as they are in their sexual behavior.

The Church tries to create impossible beings, nuns and priests that forego sex and focus on a 24/7 life of servitude. Such people are rare, but the ones who are there are better known for their works. Islam has many many more imams and people who dedicate their lives to servitude of their fellow man. But such people also have healthy married sex lives and they have to divide their time between serving their family and serving mankind.

So to answer your question, Islam and Catholicism are similar in that as Muslims 1,000,000 imams may contribute 500 hours each a year to help the needy and poor and the Chruch may have 100,000 priests that contribute 3,000 hours each year to the needy and the result is the same number of hours spent on the needy and poor. Except the priests "look like" they are doing more because on a one-on-one level, they are spending six times as much time as an imam. the later having to support his family for most of the week.

In terms of pedophilia, sure there are imams who are perverts as well. we are all human. But they are a rare exception, because when you have a wife, you are 10 times less likely to molest children than when you have no sexual outlet at all. Its common sense!

What do Indians think of Mother Teresa?

To hatersBefore you guys criticize and judge mother Teresa, I just want to ask a question? How many times did you touch, clean and bind up the wounds of a Leper?if you can't contribute in good social works at least respect or appreciate the people who are doing it!Just Look at Yourself First, Before You Judge and Criticize Someone Else

When you found out Mother Theresa was an Atheist, was that like finding out Colonel Sanders hated chicken?

Mother Theresa once wrote, “What do I labour for? If there be no God, there can be no soul. If there be no soul then, Jesus, You also are not true.”

She also said, “Where is my faith? Even deep down there is nothing but emptiness and darkness. If there be a God — please forgive me.”

She said she felt “repulsed, empty, no faith, no love, no zeal”.

How can all these Y!A peeps effusively declare that their god is real, that he talks to them, when Mother Theresa doubted his mere existence?

Why do people like Mother Teresa?

I know she's done some good but what about all the bad things? Not just the taking charitable contributions and using it for religious purposes or accepting money from criminals but about her feelings on suffering. I'll paste this since it says it so well:

"Teresa's home for the dying was just that, a place where people would go to lay on a small cot, have to use communal bathrooms, would have to defecate in front of one another, no painkillers were provided, no medicine to help the pain, friends and family were not allowed to see there dying relatives and Teresa was barley there because she was too busy trying to get more money for her "charitable acts". With the millions and billions of dollars that charitable donors would gift, don't you think more should have been done for the people suffering in Teresa's house of the Pain?

Teresa had an obsession with suffering; she felt that the more pain a person would feel the closer one would get to God. For this reason many people who suffered to the end were refused proper medical attention or even pain killers. Preventative medical attention was never offered to the dying in Teresa's House of Pain, yet when she came close to dyeing she cowardly accepted medical attention and pain killers to prolong her life, and that's what we call a hypocrite."

Why do some people hate Mother Teresa?

Most people have a revered image of Teresa, as did I. But when they find out that she used most of the donations for missionary work rather than providing sick and poor people with medical and financial aid, all that turns to hate.Telling the poor to accept difficulty and suffering as God’s will is not the kind of charity that all the generous donors trusted her to provide to the needy.Instead of making hospitals and orphanages, much the funds were used to build churches, missionary schools and salaries of employees. The few hospitals and orphanages that were built helped very few people. If you donate a billion dollars to me and use 10% on the needy and rest on religious activities, that does not make me a true humanitarian. No matter how many good deeds you do, it cannot make up for the bad ones. And for the people saying that those who have never done any form of social services ever, do not have the right to criticize Teresa, I ask you this: Why do you vote for the Presidency when you have never been a presidential candidate yourself? See the problem with your statement now?She did more good work that most of us care to admit but finding out that not all of it was for charity is disappointing.A hasty reference: Criticism of Mother Teresa - Wikipedia

Will Allah punish people like Mother Teresa?

Yes, Allah will punish her. Because he doesn't accept christianity from her. Rejecting christianity means punishing her for not being a Muslim. Consequently, Allah will not accept her good deeds. We learn this from verse 3:85And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.Bothers, Allah doesn't accept the good deeds from the Muslim who abandons the five prayers. Let alone the non-Muslim who originally doesn't accept Islam!Zakaria Wasfi was correct when commented saying:But, She lived in an era where Islam has been widely spread since many centuries, and that doesn’t include her among Christians who will have nothing to fear in the day of Judgement, those who followed Jesus’ footsteps (before Islam came out).Furthermore, Verse 2:62 refers to christians who believed in jesus the prophet-not the god- before Muhammad PBUH.See the accurate translation for verse 2:62 in sahih international:Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. She did not believe in Islam. See what Allah said about the good deeds of disbelievers :verse 24:39But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing but finds Allah before Him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allah is swift in account. In conclusions, Allah decided that people must accept Islam otherwise they are in hell. Any good deeds a person does while being a non-Muslim has no value. On the other hand, Allah considered all the bad deeds a non-Muslim did as it never happened once he converted to Islam. The same should be enough for you to accept Islam.

What did Mother Teresa actually do in India?

Mother Teresa was more of an evangelist rather then a helper of poor people. Since the political correctness and politics of appeasement has overran the true meaning of secularism in India, One could easily say that mother Teresa was an Angel of Christ sent to India for bringing the poor people near to god.I think that we all agree to the fact there is a thing called self determination or free will in a person, and all religious people irrespective of what their religious scriptures truly say, agree to this fact. But when you hear that a whole village or a whole block of hundreds of people, probably poor, is converted to some religion by exploiting their economical situations, then there is something wrong(indoctrination alert). And there is nothing a government can do to fight this exploitation as they might be called as the real oppressors of minority.Since the “white” face is given more weightage in the middle eastern and Indian subcontinent, I would like to present the views of my favorite atheist on this issue.mother teresa christopher hitchens
