Does Proativ Stop Working If I Miss One Night And Start Again The Next Day

What if I forget to put on my proactive one night ?

I've been using Proactiv for 10+ years and the longest I've gone without using it is probably about a week. (I accidentally left it at home when I went on vacation and had to wash my face with regular soap from the hotel). It all depends on how severe your acne or blemishes are. If you're prone to a lot of bumps and red spots, then missing a treatment or two might leave you with a few new pimples, but nothing severe. They recommend washing with Proactiv 1-2 times daily, so if you miss a treatment one night, as long as you wash in the morning, you should be fine.

Should I use Proactiv 2 or 3 times a day?

I have mild acne on my forehead, inner cheeks and a little tiny bit on my chin. I heard that Proactive only works for about 4 hours, and I currently am using it twice a day (day and night.) I have been very strict about using it and haven't missed one day. Should I use it three times a day so that my skin is fighting the acne 12 hours a day? Or would that dry out my skin to much? I have combination skin, and when I use Proactive it dries out my skin a little bit, so I just dab on some green tea moisturizer. I have been using it for about a month now, and I haven't really seen results, but I'm just going to give it time. I heard about a girl who's skin about two years to become completely clear using proactive, so I'm hoping that my skin is kinda like hers and just takes a while to show results. I don't want my skin to turn into my older sisters acne (she is 19, and her acne isn't showing any signs that its slowing down!). My sister has very severe acne all over her face and back and chest.

If I have a long and difficult homework assignment. Should I stay up late to finish it, or wake up early to finish?

Being productive doesn’t exactly mean working more hours or getting up early to fit another task or two. The true definition of productivity is “the effectiveness of productive effort, especially in industry, as measured in terms of the rate of output per unit of input.”We all have the same amount of hours in a day. And there a lot of successful people that work full days and get a full 8 hours of sleep at night. It’s all about how you spend your hours. If you are investing in your time wisely, your return will be far greater. That means allocating time for everything you want to achieve. You need to be spending more time being productive and not reading trending articles or scrolling through social media. That’s real productivity. The 2 solutions are ok, just maximize the hours you have, don’t decrease the sleep you get.The amount of sleep you get is importantWe all need a good 8 hours of sleep at night. Our sleep helps us function and keeps us well. There are a lot of ways that we are enhanced when we get a full night’s sleep. Research shows that people who aren’t sleep deprived:Recover from distractions fasterHelps prevent cognitive burnoutMake better decisionsSee an improvement in memoryMake fewer mistakes for your workWhatever you want to wake up early or stay late, skipping a few hours of sleep for the sake of productivity is the last thing you want to do. Shockingly you will end up with a 50% slower response time and lower accuracy rate on even simple tasks, than someone who is under the influence of alcohol. You will see a greater improvement in productivity with proper sleep and proper time management. What happens when you skip one night of acne free?

Pimples don't just happen overnight. If you forget to wash your face at night and you have a pimple the next day, it is not because you didn't wash your face the night before. More likely than not, you would have gotten that pimple even if you did wash your face the night before. The process that leads to a pimple typically take a few days (at least according to my dermatologist). That being said, try to remember to wash your face, as it is the best long term solution for acne care. As for whether acne will come back twice as bad once you stop using a product, I find that doubtful. If you stop taking care of your skin at all, it might seem like it is twice as bad, but only because you aren't doing anything. As long as you are using a cleansing product at all (and don't just stop washing your face altogether), it seems unlikely that acne would come back twice as bad.

Proactive Gave me More Pimples?

okay well about 2 weeks ago i had about 3 pimples running across the edge of my sideburns so i decided to use proactive, i used the night cream stuff, you know the stuff that you leave on your face for the night and wash it in the morning? well i used that and it worked pretty good for the first 2 days it got rid of em, but then about 2 nights later i got 3 pimples on my forehead and i used the cream for that too but they still didnt go away, and then whatd you know i got a pimple on my 2 pimples on my nose, and one under my nose and then one almost in my nose!,

i havent touched the night cream since the 3 on my forhead didnt go away, and im not touching the whole proactive treatment because i put it on in the morning and my pimples just got redder

idk whats happening i had perfectly clear skin forever up until 3 weeks ago, my face isnt coverd in zits but its really embarrising

so my Question is has anybody had the same expirience? and should i just stop using proactive all together? oh and note that i used clearasil ultra and it worked perfectly for me

Proactiv burned my face..?

My dermatologist said that Proactiv DOES NOT work. All the pictures from the before and after are basically photoshopped. Pimples are a b**** and I know how annoying they can be. The BEST thing to do is to go to a dermatologist. Schedule an appointment soon since school is starting soon. Dermatologists went to college for many years studying what works great for skin, and they can probably prescribe you with a great medicine. If you're looking past my answer thinking "Ugh, I don't have time to go to a dermatologist!" you really should go to one. My dermy just put me on a medication and seriously, my face hasn't looked this good since I was 11. If your face doesn't clear up by school, go for a great foundation with full coverage and doesn't hurt your precious skin. I recommend Covergirl's clean liquid foundation that has full coverage, and doesn't clog pores or cause acne. Good luck hun!
