Does The Media Deliberately Disable The Connection With Each Generation Of People

What is a generation on a family tree?

It really depends; the generations themselves would be as follows:
The researcher would be the first generation.
Their parents of the researcher would be the second generation.
Their grandparents of the researcher would be the third generation.
And so on…of course some families have shorter generations and some families have longer generations and in genealogy, a generation is not a unit of time but is determined by where you stand from a common ancestor.

For example, my mother was 18 when I was born so that generation would be 18 years. Then, she remarried and has a son at age 25 and another son at age 27. Also, my father remarried and had a daughter at age 38 and another daughter at age 40. A person is in the same generation as their siblings [even half-siblings] regardless of their age difference…but it’s a pretty wide age difference; I was 19 years old when my first half-sister was born and a little past 21 when the second sister was born. However, there have been cases of men in their 70s and 80s starting second families with younger women.

Now, to add one more anomaly from my family I have one aunt that is younger than me by seven months but we are in different generations because she is the sibling of my mother!!!

So, as you can see, a generation can be almost anything; you just need to know the relationship to keep people in the correct place in your family tree.

What is wrong with teenagers acting/looking older than they really are?

People find it inappropriate I guess.Take a look at this girl called Bhad Bhabie. She’s born in 2003 and she’s now only 15 years of age but dresses like she’s much older. Don’t you find it inappropriate that some so young wears such clothing? She’s subjecting herself to who knows what is lurking in the dark. People might argue that it is her choice to choose whatever she is free to wear but we also question if her choice is a sensible one. I don’t think any of us would like to see a teenager get into some kind of trouble just because they overestimated their maturity level. And this is Selena Gomez when she was 15. Pretty okay appearance that we have nothing much to say about it. I guess there is always that comparison between same generation kids and we will inevitably pick one that we find more comfortable with, such as Selena Gomez in a demure and lovely outfit.People hate it when some teenagers act older than they are because the teenagers seem to underestimate everything that comes in their way. It’s annoying as sometimes, teenagers act like smart alecs but end up whining for help when it gets ugly. Not everyone is secure with having teenagers make bigger decisions, hence there’s a reason why there’s an age limit when it comes to voting.*Edit: I’m not here to say that I’m against Bhad Bhabie’s way of dressing. She can reveal as much as she wants for all I care, but honestly if I were in that position, I would be too worried about my own safety to dress like that*

Should the the 14th amendment be interpreted strictly for the times in which it was written or for the times in which it is being read?

The 14th Amendment requires remarkably little “interpretation”.It’s written in very plain English. The courts have repeatedly ruled in over 30 cases beginning with Wong Kim Ark in 1898 (only 30 years after it was ratified) and continuing at least through 1982’s Plyly v. Doe that it does, in fact, mean what it plainly says so whether you’re looking at what the people near the time it was passed thought it meant or what the people near our time thought it meant, the answer is very much the same. The people trying to claim that it means something different because of one statement of a Senator on the committee that wrote the amendment are ignoring the fact that a) he said other things later that contradicted the statement they commonly quote, b) that quote wasn’t reflected in the actual wording of the amendment as it was passed by Congress or ratified by the states, and c) there is no reason to refer to the intent of the author when the text of the amendment is clear.

How much is the economy affected by oil price changes, and how?

There’s a direct connection: each of the last five major downturns in global economic activity has been immediately preceded by a major spike in oil prices. In fact, in the US, someone (forget who - maybe named Hamilton) showed that 10 of 11 recessions were directly related to higher oil prices.Sometimes (e.g. in the 1970s and in 1990), the surge in oil prices has been due to supply restrictions, triggered by Opec or by war in the Middle East. Other times (e.g. in 2008), it has been due to rapid growth in the demand for oil.But in both cases the contractionary effects of higher energy prices have eventually proven too much for the world economy to shrug off. Airlines have to raise prices or cut the number of flights, people put off buying a new car, the cost of industrialised agriculture and transport goes up and then food prices rise, asphalt for roads becomes more expensive, people fly less which hurts the travel and hotel industry. There are many negative knock-on effects and these in turn effect the economy, especially if it was fragile anyway.

What does a hard disk drive do?

All computers work by following electronic instructions most of which are software or firmware that resides in some storage(memory) location. Most of the instructions reside in some physical memory and the speed of the computer is determined by how fast the central processor can move the data back and forth among the memory locations. Typically, the fastest memory is what is embedded in the processor (CPU) and the second-fastest is RAM. But both those types of memory are relatively small-sized, whereas the software (and even more, the data that gets processed) needs lots and lots of memory. Traditionally, external storage devices were used (tape drives, big disk drives, like huge CDs) but then they learned to make a disk drive that could store quite a bit but still be small enough to put inside the computer. That drive was called the "hard" drive to distinguish it from the "floppies" (originally a 5" or so disk in a cardboard-like envelope, then going to 3.5" plastic envelope-like packages, but still thought of a a "floppy") that you could slide in those slots in the front of the computer. The hard drives were always more expensive than removable media. It became common to store the main programs (software - like DOS and Windows and then most of the Applications) on the hard drive to make maximum use of the software, with data being stored on the floppies. Then the hard drives began to get bigger and the costs continued to go down, and more and more, people just store everything (or as much as possible) on the hard drives - programs as well as data. But now the sticks/thumb drives are getting so big, and they are almost as fast as hard drives, so no-telling where the future of storage media may be going.

Sorry, forgot about the connection question. The hard drive, like most internal components, talk to each other over the internal processor "bus" which is very high speed, multi-"wire" electronic pathways to move the bits back and forth. The closer you get to the processor itself (i.e., LAN to machine, external drives to internal bus to RAM bus to on-board processor connectivity), the faster the pathway becomes. It used to be that serial connections were much slower than parallel buses, but they have made advances with serial buses and now there are a variety of ways to connect processor-based subsystems, including PCI, Firewire, WiFi.

What's an absolute 'must learn' for twenty-somethings?

your expectations will, in most cases, not reflect reality. It is your job to adjust, rather than expecting others to change to match your reality.People die at all ages. Prepare appropriately. Buy life insurance to help out whoever ends up being tasked with your estate - parents, siblings, significant other, etc.Minimize debts.Detail your desire for dealing with your estate (yes, even in your 20s, you have an estate. Anything you have bought, borrowed to get, or have been given is your estate.)Start saving early.Pick a place to keep important papers - deeds, lease agreements, car titles, insurance policies, etc. - safe from fire, water, etc damage AND make certain it is some place someone other than you can find, in case they need to.Before getting a job, the process of looking for a job should be treated AS your job - 8 or more hours a day of submitting resumes, applications, participating in interviews. Be realistic (see item 1 above) - you are not going to start out with a huge salary and benefits.
