Does that exercise machine Really Work????

Try eating Low Gylcemic index food.
What is the Glycemic Index?
Not all carbohydrate foods are created equal, in fact they behave quite differently in our bodies. The glycemic index or GI describes this difference by ranking carbohydrates according to their effect on our blood glucose levels. Choosing low GI carbs - the ones that produce only small fluctuations in our blood glucose and insulin levels - is the secret to long-term health reducing your risk of heart disease and diabetes and is the key to sustainable weight loss.
Eating a lot of high GI foods can be detrimental to your health because it pushes your body to extremes. This is especially true if you are overweight and sedentary. Switching to eating mainly low GI carbs that slowly trickle glucose into your blood stream keeps your energy levels balanced and means you will feel fuller for longer between meals.
o Low GI diets help people lose and control weight
o Low GI diets increase the body's sensitivity to insulin
o Low GI carbs improve diabetes control
o Low GI carbs reduce the risk of heart disease
o Low GI carbs reduce blood cholesterol levels
o Low GI carbs can help you manage the symptoms of PCOS
o Low GI carbs reduce hunger and keep you fuller for longer
o Low GI carbs prolong physical endurance
o High GI carbs help re-fuel carbohydrate stores after exercise

Ab workout machines?

Im looking at getting one of those ab king pro's or ab swing things. Just wondering if anyone has used them and if they actually do anything? I'm not trying to lose weight, i just want to get a flat stomach, I've just got a little bit of fat there at the moment. So if anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Thanks :D

Does the ROM exercise machine work?

Consider this: An aerobic activity is one that raises your heart rate for greater than 15 minutes. This can include anything. However, to do this machine for 4 minutes does not raise your heart rate to the desired threshold longer than 4-5 minutes. So you cannot actually get any cardio from this machine unless you do the 4 minutes 4 or 5 times. No matter what they say, you must increase your heart rate for greater than 15 minutes to achieve any cardiovascular benefits.
I can't get past the very high price. If anyone has the money to spend on this equipment than they should obviously buy it...and everything else that they can afford.
The claims that they make seem very stretched and unlikely to be worth the astronomical price.

Does the fluidity exercise machine work?

I saw an infomercial about it and it seems legitimate, but i dont know for sure if i want to buy it. I am a 18 year old girl, and i have gained alot of weight and i want to use something that works. I dont have the money to spend on something thats crap. Can anyone that has actually used this tell me how it worked for them?

Does that workout machine the Gazelle Edge really do anything for you???

Anything that gets you off the couch will work.

If I could only have one machine in my gym, I would pick this machine by Freemotion:

Hi Eli, thanks so much for asking me :-)In short, they all are!The only difference is which one you prefer spending time on.Using these types of machines works your CV system, period. Not everyone likes indoor running, going nowhere. Some people find the elliptical less jarring on the joints, smoother!Others prefer the challenge of rowing, and getting the technique right. As Jeff answered, the key is the amount of time you spend doing the exercise, especially at the right level (heart rate work out zones)Each of these machines will work your muscles in a different way, with the treadmil working mainly the lower body only.If you have not used any of them before, try them out and see which one you prefer ..Personally, I hate gyms and prefer to train outdoors when I can … in the fresh air!Hope this helps :-)

How accurate are the heart rate monitors on workout machines?

well that all depends on the machine and how good the product is, also where it reads some machines have moniters you get strap to diffrent places on you're body as for the hands you have a sub pliminary artery by your thumb about and it detects the the dsitinct systolic and dystolic ba dum sound or vibration you might hear in that artery all arteries in you're body should work same rate the brain tells them to so you don't have build up or lack of blood aywhere becasue of speeds however if your arms aren't moving to much it can SLIGHLY in crease your rate or decrease and it might have errors based on how lighly or hard you pressed on the metal so for the most part they are good usaully at gyms or workout machines by so just hold on and keep contact smooth hold for a few seconds and it will detect properaly they are usauly acurate within a few point like 3 or 4 or right now its deffinlity better then taking your own rate :) alot more convinient to0

If you’re looking to increase strength at the gym, then these are the three “machines” you should be using.A barbell (and weights)A squat rack (with adjustable hooks and safety pins)A bench (preferably adjustable)This will allow you to train a huge variety of compound (multi-joint) exercises that will recruit a lot of different muscle groups. You’ll mainly focus on:SquatBench PressDeadliftOverhead (strict) PressIf you’re a beginner, it’s as easy as training three times per week, doing 3–5 sets of 5 reps, adding 5lb (2.5kg) each session for as long as you can (normally 4–6 months). During this phase you’ll want to mix things up a bit with some supplementary exercises like barbell rows, pull-ups, incline bench press (and possibly power cleans). This progressive overload on compound exercises will increase your strength significantly, in a relatively short period of time. And the use of free weights will aid this strength increases due to the fact that you will be recruiting more muscles (eg. core and stabiliser muscles) than you would for machine work. There’s a lot of good information online about beginner strength training plans. But a couple of good places to start are: Starting Strength Linear Progression and Stronglifts 5x5.
