Homecoming dress too formal?
So I bought this dress ages ago and I really really like it but I've never had a formal event to wear it for... My senior homecoming is this Saturday and I was wondering if this dress is too "business formal" for a high school dance? Will I look out of place if I wear it? Is it not party-dress enough? If it is, tips on how to dress it down (if possible) would be great!! Thanks ^_^

What do I wear to a non-formal homecoming dance?
I think you should wear a nice dress or something but not one that's like over the top or anything! For your boyfriend just tell him to wear nice jeans not ripped up or holed ones with a polo or some kind or nice shirt most of the guys really don't care that much when it comes to dances haha but if it's informal I wouldn't wear heels or anything just sandals or flats and if you think it doesn't look quite nice enough just curl your hair (If you can, idk if it's too short) and do your makeup nice maybe some glitter or something!:) hope this helps and you have lots of fun!:)

Can't decide between two homecoming dresses?
I bought a dress from Anthropology this summer that i still haven't worn so my mom wants me to wear it to homecoming rather than get another dress because it was $180 (of my own money that I earned babysitting) but I saw another dress i like in Anthropology and it looks more like a homecoming dress. The one i got this summer drops a few inches below my knees, has a silk black heart shaped top with a crimp/crinkles down the center, flilly short sleeves, black velvet neckline, LONG black bow that ties around back, and from the ribs down is royal blue cotton embroidered with climing roses and butterflies with a little red in them (they look kind of japenese), and the bottom has a dark blue band with black roses and velvet. It's not at all emo although the colors make it sound that way- it's mostly royal blue. It's pretty but my friends are all wearing short dresses for homecoming and saving long dresses for prom but since it has cotton it's not really fancy enough to save for prom. The other dress is a cute short party dress made of crinkled red berry satin that is woven with metalic thread to give it the slightest suggestion of gleam. It has a crimped band of same material wraped around waist, pleated top, plain neckline, and inch thick straps. Its faberic is more Promish but lenghth more like Homecoming. I can't decide which to where to what!!! My friend thought the red one wasn't fancy enough for prom which i disagree with (since it costs $280!) but my friend whose a boy whistled when i showed him it so i take that as a good sign. I wanted to wait for the red one to go on sale though!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Semi formal winter dance....high school?
hey, i have my first winter semi formal dance next weekend and i am really confused as to what semi formal is for high school. i have this amaizingly cute dress that is tealish spaghetti straps with silver heels. is this a good semi dress or is it to dressy. its like a couple inches above my knee. my friends bro said to wear pants but idk what to do. please tell me what semi is, how to do my hair make up ect. pics appreciated, thanks

They may have something already on there you can get right now or it might give you an idea on something that they could custom make just for you.
