Does your name suit your personality ? What name would suit it ?

My name is Jordan Maliegh, and i don't think it suits me because i am not a tomboy, and jordan sounds like a name that would be 4 a loud, sporty person. (i am kind of sporty, but...)

i want my name to be Serena!
I think it suits me because serene means quiet, and im shy to people i don't know.
The meaning is princess; one who laughs
I laugh a LOT, lol =D and, well....not exactly a princess, but still!
it would suit me well, AND it goes good with my middle name, Maliegh. Serena Maliegh is so pretty!

what do u think?

btw i love the name Vivienne!! its on my favorite name list.

Does the name you have effect your personality?

Many of you might be thinking the answer is blatantly obvious, that yes, of course, names influence personalty, but does it really? Is it solely the name which you’ve been given that determines your personality, or is it the society that you grew up in?Take, for instance, a very unique name mixed with a very unique girl; the name clearly embodies the girl’s personality. Anyone that meets her would not be surprised in the least that this name was given to this girl. That her personality mirrored the true aspects and uniqueness of her name. What about a more common name for a more common boy? The boy goes throughout life not pushing too hard on both the law or society. He is normal and has a very normal name. His personality, like the unique girl’s, fits so perfectly with his name that it’s no wonder he has that common name.Plus, when meeting a person, usually the name of the person fits that personality and appearance. The name truly embodies the person who possesses it.But what about people with names that really don’t fit them physically or emotionally? If the idea of the name affecting the personality was true, why isn’t this sort of person also affected by their name? When picking names, what’s the most important part of the process? The parents. This may seem a bit shallow, as the name is made for the child, but it’s true. A parent isn’t going to name their child something they consider “unattractive” or downright “unfit.”Therefore, the parents are picking a name they find personally attractive. It not only embodies their ideology of a perfect child, but it fits their family.Children grow up creating their personality, true, but parents have a huge impact on the person their child becomes. Because of this, the child may be similar to their parents and this causes the name of the person to fit “perfectly.” A unique mother picking a unique name for her child will more than likely create a unique girl, not because of the name but because the mother.Of course, not all children end up like their parents. Wouldn’t this then explain the name not fitting the child? If the personality of both of the parents and child are extremely different, the name might not necessarily fit the child. So, do names affect your personalty? Perhaps, but more than likely not. More than likely, it’s because of the family, not the name, that helps create the personality of the child. Thanks®

Do you think your name suits your personality?

My name is Emily. I honestly think Emily is one of those names that can suit anybody and of all different cultures. I'm Chinese and I prefer having Emily as a name than a Chinese name (simply because it'd be very difficult for Americans to pronounce it). I can imagine an Emily being very shy or very social / outgoing; lazy or hardworking; not very intelluctual or a genius. I suppose I'm somewhere inbetween all of that, so I suppose it suits me just fine.

If I were to choose a name similar to mine, it would be Emmeline. If I were to choose a different name, it'd be Juliet, Aurelia, Cecily, or Rosalie. I find them to be softer, romantic names. I have a rather soft personality, I'm honest, and I never want to hurt anyone's feelings. I don't use profanity and I'm anti-alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc (I'm just not interested in that whatsoever). I've never been to a party that consists of such elements and I don't plan to either (I am 17). I am a fairly friendly person and I suppose I'm a romantic and a dreamer.

I think your name is pretty nice. I feel like it's one of those classics that also works on anyone. You have a plethora of nickname options too, including Eliza, Elle, Ella, Beth, Liz, Liza, Lila, Ezzy, etc.

What kind of person do you think the name Schalane would suit?

Lawyer or politician.

How come some names don't suit people? My friends said that if I was named 'Peter' then I would be 'ugly' and that it doesn't suit me?

Why do you care what other people think? It’s not a rhetorical question…it’s sincere. They don’t have the capacity to make you happy or miserable unless you LET them make you happy or miserable. So that person thinks Peter is a name for an ugly person. That’s nice. So what? You aren’t named Peter. Your “friend” is incredibly superficial and stupid if they think a name means that person should be ugly or pretty. The only thing ugly is that person…and they’re ugly on the inside. Every person has their own perspective on names on the sentiment isn’t universal. Find better friends…
