The charge for a signature is $4.00 extra. I doubt your seller on e-bay would pay for that fee, unless your item is very expensive. If you now receive your UPS packages without having to sign for them, you will most likely get your E-Bay item left near your front door. (Remember UPS pkgs come from the Brown trucks, not the White USPS trucks, and there is no first class ups, only ground, 2nd day, 3 day select, next day air, or next day air savers.

They should try to redeliver. If they miss you agian, I think you can call in and pick it up so it does not go out on the truck.
