Does Vasaline Or Petroleum Jelly Make Your Eyelashes Longer

Petroleum jelly/vaseline effects on eyelashes?

So I heard that petroleum jelly makes eyelashes longer and thicker. I have fairly short lashes and they're not thick at all. I want to make them thicker and longer naturally so I won't have to use mascara or falsies. Sooo is this true? Does it work? When will I see results? Please add your experience with it if you have tried it before and include how you did it.

Thank you so much! :)

Does Petroleum Jelly Make Eyelashes Longer?

Vaseline is petroleum jelly, it's just a brand. Petroleum jelly will not make your eyelashes longer. If you want to put something on them, you can get various lash conditioners and serums. L'Oreal do an affordable one, they also do a mascara with serum inside it.

Does petroleum jelly help eyelashes grow?

Vaseline, a brand of petroleum jelly, provides excellent conditioning and moisturizing for lashes that are dry and brittle. It helps them grow longer, thicker, and stronger. It is also claimed that the moisturizing properties can help the skin around the eyelid stay smooth and supple. The best way to get results from this is to use a cleaned mascara wand to apply the Vaseline to your eyelashes before bed

Putting on petroleum jelly will make your eyelashes longer?

Is it true that castor oil makes lashes longer and petroleum jelly makes them thicker?

I can only answer part of your question. The petroleum jelly just makes them appear thicker because of the jell and shine. If you do use jelly on your lashes make sure you use a lash comb or you will have a big mess of clumps.
Cod liver oil in pill form or liquid a teaspoon a day is very good for your whole body; it is also good for colds etc.. My mom, way back when, used to give us a teaspoon of cod liver oil every morning before school. Believe it or not we never caught colds. Now that i think about it maybe that is why my sisters and I have nice skin for our ages. I am not being conceited either. Down side is, if you take cod liver oil liquid pray that you don't burp!! They now have the pills at the box stores or health stores. Castor oil will help you go to the bathroom?!
Hope I was helpful. I am serious about my answer..

How do you use Vaseline to get longer eyelashes?

Petroleum jelly (or Vaseline) has not been known to change eye lash length. There are ophthalmic grade jelly like products (similar but not equal to "Vaseline") that are used to "smother" demodex or lice on eye lids and lashes. In those circumstances, there is no  harm. However, none of the research using the jelly in that fashion are long enough in duration to observe a side effect of lengthening eyelashes.

Can I use Apollo petroleum jelly for eyelashes?

They told me that petroleum jelly works well to make your eyelashes longer and thicker.
Many prefer the Vaseline product but I can't find it in our country.
Can I just use Apollo petroleum jelly instead?

Does Vaseline really help your eyelashes grow or is it just a myth?

This is a really common myth, so I dug into it really hard because it really just irks me when myths keep circulating unchecked.Vaseline can help condition your eyelashes, in that it can moisturize and protect them, but vaseline cannot grow your eyelashes. Any growth that you see would be strictly coincidental.Plus, let’s be honest: it’s really difficult to measure lash length by yourself. You can read my original answer to this question here if you wish, but I’ll break it down quickly:Research shows that hair follicles (including eyelashes) can grow (fuller or longer) from the use of bimataprost—a prostaglandin analog—peptides, essential fatty acids, or sulfur.Research shows that hair follicles can become stronger by using coconut oil, because of it’s high stearic acid content, giving it good stearic chemistry (it can easily penetrate the hair shaft).Vaseline is made from petroleum. It is a very large molecule, making it a good moisturizer, but it is an occlusive agent. At a size much larger than 500 daltons, it’s not penetrating the skin and it cannot enter the skin. It’s not going to penetrate into the hair follicle either. Even if it could, it cannot stimulate growth.Vaseline is also usually derived from and processed in foreign countries, outside of the US and the US’s standards. You do not know where or how it was refined. Do you really want to put it near your eyes?Vaseline can act as a great moisturizer, as it’s so occlusive, that it’s basically like putting plastic wrap on your skin. It’s not great for those with acne, and definitely not a lash growth ingredient. For more information on what can make your lashes longer, fuller and stronger (those are 3 different things, by the way), feel free to read my full break down of the research here.

Does vaseline make your lashes longer/thicker?

It might eventually because it makes them healthier. But mainly it just protects them and makes them stronger and softer.
