Does Vitamin E Cream Help Get Rid Of Marks Left From Scabs/ Scar

How to get rid of dark spots/scars on leg left from picking at a scab?

The live Aloe plant is great for this.
Break the plant into and apply the gel
to the area as many times a day as you can.
Products that are for healing or making scars less noticeable
usually have aloe as the first ingredient. When you use the plant, you
get many times the effectiveness because the healing enzyme from the plant are live.
I have used Aloe for dark spots(age) on my face and they completely vanished after
only weeks of use.
LIVE Aloe Vera is the source for most all skin disorders.
It also cured my Eczema after 20 years of steroid cream use.
I wish I would have known about it when I was 20.

How can i get rid of scabs without scars?

1. Don't scratch mosquito bites. Get some antihistamine cream to put on them, to reduce the itching and help them heal faster.

#2. If you DO scratch until you scab (tsk) then keep the scab supple with a dab of petroleum jelly or antibiotic ointment. This will help keep the healing scab from itching as much, so you're less likely to pick it off too soon and also to pull on the skin underneath less while it heals. And

#3 Don't pick off scabs early!

I have scars all over my legs because i pick my scabs how do i get rid of tem?

Bio oil is just the best and so is coconut butter

Peeled off a scab too early..small crater left behind??

Until it closes, keep neosporin (or an antibiotic ointment) on it, to reduce the chance of an infection. If it gets infected, then it's gauranteed to scar. Once it closes, keep vitamin e oil, bio-oil, or mederma (all 3 are scar treatments that have varying results for each individual).

Don't use scar treatments on an open wound. Cross your fingers ><

How long does it take for new pink skin to heal after scab came off? How long before the color blends in?

Short answer- if it has not blended in after 6 months —- it won’t.How long a scar takes to heal & whether the scar returns to the original level of pigmentation of the surrounding skin depends on a wide range of factors. The scab you are referring to is usually caused by skin being scooped off & varies in depth & widthFirst the depth of the original injury- the deeper the wound goes thru the layers of skin, the more it is likely to be replaced by scar tissue rather than normal skinThe degree of your skin’s pigmentationYour age , general health & medication (prescribed or over the counter) as some conditions delay healing & repairYour tendency to form scars. Some people have keloid scars which are hard, raised & usually permanent unless specifically treated edHow the wound is treated. We used to encourage the drying of the wound & the development of scabs. Having worked for plastic surgeons during my training and subsequently collaborated with them I have seen the benefit of wet dressings. A scab heals mainly from the edges whereas a wet wound heals from the base & the edges at 2–3 times faster than a scab.We use Solosite as a wound dressing & may use plastic or gel wound dressings over that which are padded if there is a lot of exudate/ ooze from the wound.Once the wound is healed you can use a moisturiser. VitE cream is popular but has no advantage over the same cream without Vit E. People who are vitamin deficient & zinc deficient heal slowly but as to whether supplementing makes any difference………Keep the wound away from sun & especially high UV days until the wound has healed over 6 months. Use clothing or sunscreen to prevent sun damage as the young wound is very sun sensitive for the 6 months.

Is mederma better or scar gel? Please Help?

I am rather accident prone and have used both Vitamin E oil and Mederma on my face/body.
What I have found is that on newly injured skin, vitamin E works wonders, when applied frequently.
But if you have a scar or scratch that you have had for an extended period of time, Mederma is your best bet. The only downside is that it's rather expensive, and takes kinda a long while to actually work.
