Does Your Body Tone Whilst Losing Weight

Is toning your body the same as losing weight?

Toning is the same as loosing fat. Losing fat is not the same as losing weight (weight accounts for fat, muscle, water retention etc.)

Toning is essentially the process of losing bodyfat while eating and lifting to maintain your muscles (you can't lose fat and grow your muscles at the same time) to increase their visibility, giving you that more 'cut' appearance.

Lose weight before i tone my body?

well u should do toning weight lifting excerises 3 times a week...than 3-5 times a week do cardio...

for cardio run, swim or jog or whatever kind of cardio u do...do it hard and fast...u lose calories when u heart rate is up...

for example if u run for 20 minutes...or walk for an hr...running for 20 minutes will help u lose more weight...or calories...

weight lifting for toning purposes helps with weight loss...it burns that area that u are working out...

for example if u are doing a squat it will burn calories in the leg area(quads, hamsrtrings, and glutes)...

for toning do an excerise for each muscle...do that excerise 20-22 reps...and do 2 sets...

Shoulders-shoulder press
biceps-hammer curls
triceps-dips
chest-cable crossover or bench press
abs-crunches
legs-squat, lunges, calf raises
upper back-pullups
lower back-back extensions

make sure u eat well or this will be for NOTHING...

cut down on sugar,salt...

no fast food, no fried foods, no soda, alcohol...

drink lots of water...eat vegetables, take ur vitamins...

hope this is what u were looking for...

Does losing weight make you look younger?

ummmmm

it really depends b-caz although usually it make a person look better there r times where it makes u look worse..... it can caz massive bags under yr eyes and make u look even older... it really depends on the person..... sometimes there skin sags and the wrinkles look more defined.... but whatever u should neva try to l;ose weight just so u can look better...... b comfortable with who u r !!!!!

Stay Gorgeous,
Lollie xoxo

Can i lighten my skin tone by losing weight?

I have never heard such a thing. However, exercise and a healthy diet will give your skin a nice glow. Working out gets your circulation going, and healthy food does wonders to our skin.

To lighten your face, rub a fresh lemon wedge all over every day. Be patient, it takes a long time.

When you run, are you losing weight in all parts of your body, or just your legs?

You don't "loose weight" in a particular part of your body, but you do tone specific muscles when you excersize.
Running accomplishes much, by working legs, of course, thighs, hip-area muscles, abdominals, arms.
You loose weight by burning off more calories than you consume.
You could could sit still all day and loose weight if you only ate lettuce & drank water, for instance. Running helps your body burn more calories, while keeping those muscles toned. Excersize, especially lifting weights, builds strong bones in addition to working the muscle.
Remember to fuel your body with calories it can burn as "high octane fuel"; forget the empty calories.
Best of luck to you!

Does running tone your body?

Well I have to disagree with the other answers (posted so far).It definitely tones your body, when you´re not adding calories. Also it doesn´t burn (a lot of) muscles, when you´re running at a moderate pace and not for too long distances. I know a lot of bodybuilders who run 3–5 times a week, at a pace of 5:30–7:00 (per kilometre). Even while their bulking! I do the same when it´s time to get shredded. You just really need to keep it moderate. Go for 30–45 minute runs, at a particular low pace for 2–4 times a week. Your whole body is going to benefit from it. Even your upper body muscles. The cardiovascular aspect helps to ensure a better supply of blood for your entire body. This might increase your overall strength and that again might lead to overall muscle gain.So don´t get on the wrong track to think, that running burns your muscles. Of course it can. But that is mostly going to happen, when you cut off to much of your calories or burn too many of them due to too much endurance running.Running can also benefit the growth of slow twitch fibres in your legs. Depending on your specific amount of slow twitch fibres in your body, your legs for example can even get bigger. Have you ever seen the legs of a cyclist? I know, the comparison isn´t the best. I only want to show you, that cardio doesn´t ultimately kill your muscles. Conclusion:When done right, you won´t burn (a lot of) muscles.Go for a low pace. (5–7 kilometres per minute)Go for a short distance (maximum of 10 kilometres, but you should prefer the 4–7 kilometres distance)Don´t cut your calories since you add running. (You could also increase them by a bit - talking about clean nutrition)

Should I lose weight first then tone?

Hi there :
First off, the two things (tone & lose weight) happen at the same time. it's impossible to do one and not the other. second a females basal metabolic rate (this is the calories that your body requires to run its automatic processes like breathing, heart beat, digestion etc ) is 1000 - 1200 calories per day. that means that what your consuming is just running those . but you are also doing your training and other activities which burn calories. so what is happening is your body is in what's called starvation mode and it is storing some of the calories as body fat for future use. you need to up your calories by 200 - 400 cal. per day. eat a balance of protein carbs and some fats. (the good fats that is) margarine, vegetable oil , nuts.because some vitamins need fats for the body to use them. also you do need some weight training cause muscle is the bodies fat burner. now i know you are afraid of gaining to much muscle but females do not have the testosterone necessary to build a lot of size. when you do your weight training routine keep your rep range between 12-15 reps, that will give the muscles a leaner more toned look as well as burning more calories.
