Dog Throws Up Everyday

My dog has been throwing up for 3 days, what can I do to hydrate it and what can be the cause of this?

Run to the vet. Your dog will die if this is not taken care of now. Could be salmon poisoning. could be Giardia, could be intestinal blockage, Your dog needs lactated Ringer,s sub Q fluids now. Never tried it but an enema with colloidal silver then half hour later another enema of the same is supposed to kill most of salmon poisoning off. That is only if vet cannot respond to this emergency. So many things could be wrong. Why did you wait 3 days? It may be already too late. Fluids by mouth if even by eyedropper and constant attendance. Let us know please.

Why does my dog vomit everyday?

It could just be the food he's on (Kibbles and Bits is really a low quality food). If you're buying food at Wal-Mart, the best they have is Maxximum Lamb & Rice (still not the best quality, but better than anything else they offer). If you need cheap, Diamond Naturals is a decent food. If you can afford to step up to a better food, some good ones include: Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, Canidae, Merrick, Halo, Castor & Pollux, Solid Gold, Innova, and Wellness, to name a few.

I had a dog who vomited every day when I first got him (the rescue insisted he be fed Nutro Natural Choice for his whole life, so we tried feeding it to him). It was the food...we switched all four of our dogs to California Natural, and the vomiting stopped immediately. All of the dogs' health and appearance improved, as well, within 2 months of the new food. What you feed them really does impact their health, same as eating healthy impacts yours. There are many great foods on the market today, but you'll not find them in your grocery store or mass retailer like Wal-Mart...you'll have to shop around.

One more possible cause for vomiting is just an empty stomach-if your dog is being fed once a day, try feeding smaller amounts 2 or 3 times per day, being certain that the first feeding is first thing in the morning and the last is shortly before bedtime.

Of course, you're going to want to discuss the situation with your vet-the daily vomiting could be a sign of a serious illness, and you'll want to rule that out first.

Why does my dog keep throwing up everywhere?

She just throws up. Randomly. Normally every other day if not every day. Sometimes it's in the morning, other times it's after she drinks water, and other times just to piss me off, I think. Usually before she throws up, I hear her try "hurling" it up a few times before it actually happens so I have enough time to throw her out my room. She's a pitbull. Also, whenever I put water down, she drinks it until it's all gone, and she'd keep drinking if I put more out, so I regulate how much she has by filling it a little every time after I walk her. She's had two litters of puppies, she's spayed now, and we decided to keep one of the puppies. This puppy is almost a year old now, so there's no need for her to keep throwing up. She doesn't even throw up a lot of food, it's just a few pieces and stomach bile with some weird white foam ****. Any idea why this is happening?

My dog just threw up every last bit of food?!?

My golden retriever, 1 year old, just scarfed all of her 2 cups she gets in the morning in about 10 minutes, maybe a little bit less. She then proceeded to walk around my living room, throwing it all up (whole, not chewed at all). She threw up every last bit I gave her. She's not acting sick whatsoever, and is now looking at me with her I'm hungry look. Did she just eat too fast? Should I feed her again, but just a little bit and then a little bit more in a couple hours? Sometimes she gets an upset tummy in the mornings if she doesn't eat right away so I don't want her to get sick again because of an empty tummy...

My dog is throwing up once a day, but has no othe symptoms of being sick.?

It may be that he does have a sensative stomache. Try a "sensative stomache" dog food. Sowly transition him to the new food, if it is that he has a S.S. throwing him into a new food could make it worse. Start with 1/4 of the new food and mix it with 3/4 of his old food, do that for a couple days then go to half and half, then to 3/4 new and 1/4 old, then obviously all new. If it doesn't help take him to a vet, they can perscribe him a food that will help and possibly give him some tummy meds if they feel necessary. Also monitor him while he is outside to make sure he isn't eating something he is not suppose to and until the vomiting stops, if you see him eating grass that just means his stomache is upset, they do that to settle it. Also I would totally cut out any ppl food, that could aso make it worse! Don't worry about it too much though, lots of dogs have intestinal problems that can easily be managed.

What should I do if my dog is throwing up white foam?

Take the dog to the vet it could be an upsetstomach. But if that is what is happening you usually you can see the stomach contracting and cramping. There is a med to stop the cramping. Did the dog eat something it shouldn'thave? Is the dog whimpering? If so it's in pain. Itcould have an obstruction in the bowel. What kind of dog is it?Many dogs love to eat anything they can reach,How old is the dog ? The younger the more they get into.I'll tell you a true story. I was in Aspen Colorado walkingaround downtown and found a dog tied to a bike rackAnd he was all wound up in the bike rack i went over to try and untangle him. Gently approached, dog was friendly so it was easy to get him untangledI'm on my knees and dog is licking my face wagging his tail very happy dog. Then he kissed my ear on one side and then the otherand I heard a crunch, Hummm crunch? And then I saw a gold stud earring in his mouth. OMGthe dog had just eaten my diamond earrings. Finallyowner comes over says "what are you doing with my dog"?I told him that I think he ate my diamond earrings. After that sunk in, I said I'm not gonna get those diamonds back and you aren't going to be check his poop everyday, Guy asks where I'm staying and gives me his business card.He takes his 5 month old golden retriever to the vet. Long story short, dog hasnot only my diamonds are in his stomach, but a hand full of change and a 1/2 sole of a shoe.Vet made the dog throw up and got all that out of hisstomach. Dog would have died if it had not been caught steeling diamonds and the owner was shocked to find out what his fur baby was doing when he isn't around. The front page of the Aspen Times could have said"Diamond Heist in downtown Aspen"but they just said his name was Lucky! You are responsible for what your dog eats andthe responsible thing to do is get the dog to a vet.

My dog and cat are both throwing up yellow.?

I would take them to the vet immediately. I called my vet a few days ago about my 7 month old kitten throwing up all the time about 15 minutes after she eats. Well, the vet said that it was probably her eating too much but if she throws up yellow to bring her in because there is a problem.

My dog is starving himself for human food and he throws up everyday. Should I force him to eat (feed to throat) or just let him be until he eat it himself?

There seem to be two different issues going on. The most urgent seems to be that your dog is throwing up. Dogs cannot make themselves throw up because they do not like the food. This is an issue for you veterinarian. I would have him checked out right away.Once you deal with the vomiting issue, you should then look at your dog’s diet. Your dog will NOT starve himself if you cut out human food and give him dog food. Good quality dog food will contain the right mix of nutrients which your dog may not be getting from the mix of human food you select. You absolutely should not try to force food down your dogs throat. You are much more likely to harm the dog than to help him. Again, he will not starve himself. Even if it takes a couple days, do not force feed your dog. Just keep fresh dog food available. If your dog doesn’t eat after a couple days, that is an issue for your veterinarian.
