Drinking Alcohol Got Me In Trouble

Would you get into trouble if you sneak alcohol into a concert underage?

they usually will just take it away but if they are pricks they might get the cops involved usually they are not such pricks and will take it away and let you go about your business if you want to sneak it in don't do it if you think you are going to get caught and don't make it obvious that you have alcohol put it in your pants by your crouch and wear a tight belt and if starts to slip a little just put one hand in a pocket and kind of hold it but don't make it obvious, and by the way i am not endorsing this or recommending this but that's how i use to sneak alcohol in when i was in high school i don't think it is a good idea for anyone to do this because you are not of age so whatever just try to do the right thing, and have fun

Feeling short of breath when drinking alcohol?

You could have anything so you need to go to the doctor. The alcohol may be exacerbating an underlying problem so alcohol may not be the primary issue. Also, it is important to know if the shortness of breath occurs during exertion or not. Alcohol does depress the nervous system (slows HR and RR.) This may not affect healthy people but if you have a lung problem the decrease in blood flow could make the symptoms arise when they normally would not. Also, high Hemoglobin is good but alcohol and other diseases can affect its ability to hold oxygen making the amount of hemoglobin irrelevant. Go to the doctor please. Your problem could be a heart problem, pulmonary vascular disease, emphysema (restrictive disease), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary edema, heart defect (some go unnoticed until adult years). So tests are required. Good luck. Hopefully it is nothing serious.

Edit : Only tests can determine this but if your inhalation/exhalation is the same as before the problem and you feel like the "air has no oxygen" which of course it does, the issue is either your lungs or heart. Your lungs may have excessive alveolar dead space due to pulmonary vascular disease (high blood pressure or a diseased liver from drinking too much can cause backflow of blood into your lungs and damage them) thus your lungs are not able to take up the oxygen. Smoking can cause decreased lung function this too but i'm sure you would have mentioned that. If you moved into a new place, you may want to check the vents for stuff growing in there like mold that will affect your lungs.

Other possiblity, your heart is not pumping enough blood to your lungs due to a heart problem but altho alcohol decreases heart rate I don't see that having enough of an effect on blood flow to your lungs. You will need a lung function test which takes a minute, maybe a chest x-ray and def a blood test in case you are just anemic. Puking your guts out everyday can cause anemia as this affects blood volume. Alot of alcohol is needed to affect normal hemoglobin unless you have a hemoglobin defect but those are rare and come with other symptoms like headache and severe pain. No one wants to go to the hospital but it is the only way to deal with shortness of breath and you shoudl go if it is affecting your daily life especially. The possibilities are too numerous without tests. Sorry.

Will telling a doctor you drink underage get you in trouble?

As the other answerers have said, no, you will not get into trouble with the law for revealing this information to your doctor. Also, keep in mind that your doctor deals with the ill for a living and has heard much worse things than a 20 year old who drinks.

If there is ever a time for complete honesty, it is in the doctor's office. When you are trying to get fixed up physically, you need to come clean about anything you're doing even if it feels uncomfortable or involves an illegal substance. You should supply any and all information the doctor needs in order to diagnose and safely treat your ailment.

Kudos for being honest.

Am I in legal trouble if underage drinkers drink in my gaming arcade?

It's possible. When I read this, my mind went to "corruption of a minor". This crime's definition will vary by state, but loosely it means corrupting the morals of a minor by aiding, enticing, or encouraging the minor to commit a crime (in this case underage drinking). This is a very serious crime in many jurisdictions and it can come with a large fine and significant jail time. You should consult with a lawyer in your state to figure out how to best protect yourself and your business from this and other legal pitfalls.

Are you a former alcoholic that returned to regular drinking? What happened?

One school of thought says that there is no such animal as a “former alcoholic”- one doesn’t magically get better, graduate back into the world of normalcy and live life as a casual drinker and happy human being. When I was first sober I bemoaned the fact that as an alcoholic I was shut out of a whole world of experience that my fellow citizens enjoyed. I wanted regular drinking again. I had never tasted a merlot or cab sauv or blush zin or any of a whole host of oenophillac delights. So, a number of times I got sober and then returned to “regular drinking”. One time I went into the bar at the Ritz Carlton, wearing pinstripes and a fifty dollar haircut. I ordered a dry beefeaters martini, drank it slowly, savoring every drop, and then left. I proved to myself that it could be done- normal drinking. Three days later I was sleeping in my own vomit and drinking vanilla extract. What happened? Well, I was never cured, made all better and, able to drink like a regular person. Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic. Instead of being cured, we speak of in remission. Whenever I tried to sneak back to normal drinking, I went right back to the drinking habits and mentality that got me in trouble in the first place. To answer the question: I’ll never be a former alcohol or a gifted amateur. I remain a 100% died-in-the-wool professional alcoholic. When I did try to drink like the “normies”, I failed miserably. Maybe there are former alcoholics out there who returned to normal drinking and never pulled a drunken horror show again. Not I.

Is it likely that my therapist will get me in trouble for underage drinking (I only do it rarely and am very cautious about it)?

When you were filing out all that paperwork before your first appointment with your therapist, you signed something called informed consent and confidentiality. This paper explained that your therapist will not share anything you share with her unless there is current abuse (domestic, child, elder, sexual, etc.) or unless someone’s life, including yours, is in danger.Unless you are driving while drunk, or driving others while drunk, putting lives in danger or are drinking to the point of danger or addiction, your therapist will not disclose to anyone your actions. However, this is something you should be talking about in therapy.A therapist’s job is not to be a tattle tale - how could we gain your trust? Our job and duty is to our clients first, not their parents. I suggest you discuss your concerns with your therapist and tell her about your drinking. Likely, she will ask important questions about it, making sure you are safe and healthy. It is unlikely you will be chastised or shamed. If so, that is not OK. Tell the truth. No one can treat you if you lie.

Buying 19-20 year olds alcohol?

My cousin is 20. He, his girlfriend and a few of his friends ask me to buy them alcohol from time to time. (I'm 24) I have done it in the past when I know they are spending the night and it's only one or two of them, but I don't feel right buying it for a big group of them at someone else's house. They're all pretty responsible and level headed, but I still worry about getting in trouble or causing them to get in trouble. It sucks because I feel like I can't even hang out with them because of the legal issues, even if I'm not the one actually buying the alcohol. So my question is, what is the penalty if they get caught drinking? Would I still be responsible even though they're over 18? Is the fact that I'm over 21 going to get me in trouble just for hanging out with them even if I'm not the one that provides the alcohol?

My teacher bought me alcohol and got me drunk in another country? Is this Illegal?

Sounds like you had no trouble with it at the time so why are you kicking up a fuss now. I personally dont buy your story but if it is true then your teacher is out of line particularly with the picture issue so she deserves what she's got coming.
