Drive 5 Hrs For A Cheaper Airplane Ticket

Cheapest way to get from phoenix to chicago? car, plane, train, bus?

Check out www.allegiantair.com If you can plan a little you can fly from Mesa to Rockford, Ill. for as little as $89. From there you can take the Coach-USA bus to Union Station for $19. You will have to figure a cab ride from the Rockford airport to the Clock Tower Inn to catch the bus. They leave for Chicago hourly on the hour. The flight is non-stop. The bus is supposed to be, but who knows with traffic conditions.

Is a 4 hour drive expensive for gas?

he lives 4 hours away by train and it cost around $180 or less depending on when you buy the ticket. so we don't see each other other than once a month.i would like to see him once a week but that would be costly. So would you be able to see the person often with that cost taking turns.Would it be cheaper for gas to drive 4 hours twice a month.Would it be cheaper to drive or more expensive

Should we fly or drive to Disney World?

Alright so my family is taking a trip to Disney World this year probably around the middle of May (for 7 nights+any time to drive if we must). It will be our 4th time going. We flew twice and drove once when I was 5. Our family consists of my parents, my 11 year old sister, and me who is 14. My mom wants to drive there to save money. It's a 16 hour drive (straight through) and my parents (specifically my dad) can't drive for more than about 6 hrs in a day. This means we would have to stop for one night on the way down and one back in a hotel. Plus with stopping to eat and stuff that's got to be about an extra 4 hours all together. Our other option is to fly and we would if we had more money to spend on the vacation. A flight for 4 of us would cost about $1000 and it would take about 4 hrs to fly at most plus the extra time in the airport(s). I like to fly because it seems like it's more relaxing and a lot less stressful and time consuming.

To get into more detail, I personally could barely stand being in the car to drive 8 hrs which was recently (4 hrs one day and 4 hours the next). I can't sit for long and that's just too much for me. My sister is probably like me too. It just doesn't seem fun to drive...

So what do you guys think? Is there any flights cheaper than $1000? Help?

Driving vs flying which is better?

Better is subjective - what are you hoping to get out of the journey there? Or what are you hoping to avoid?

Flying can be hard (though not permanently) on babies because often they can't regulate the pressure changes in an airplane cabin. This is mostly why you hear about babies screaming on flights. Adults know to yawn or chew gum or do other things to alleviate the pressure in the ears but babies and young children either can't, don't know how or have trouble actually doing it. Like I said, there's probably no permanent harm, but there will likely be some discomfort for them. I would suspect there are some things you can do to alleviate or eliminate this so I would place a quick call to your pediatrician.

If you're looking for what would be cheaper then I would suggest you price flights for (if my math is right - 8 of you?) using an online resource like Expedia or Travelocity or Orbitz. See what the total cost of the tickets would be. Also keep in mind if you'd need to rent a car while you're there - if you will be sure to factor that in or at the very least transportation to and from the airport unless someone will be picking you up there.

Then, if you don't know it already, start paying attention to the gas mileage on your van. FIgure out what the mileage is then plan your route out and see how many miles it is. Then figure out the cost based on your mileage and gas prices. You can use a site like http://www.fueleconomy.gov/FEG/gasprices... or http://gasbuddy.com/gb_gastemperaturemap... to determine what sorts of pricing fluctuations you're going to run into.

Also be sure to take into account hotel prices if you're not going to be trading off driving and will need to stay in one.

As a last consideration - traveling with children (or really even other people) can be stressful. If the prices between flying and driving are close then take that into account and see what is more important to you - a faster flight with some possible discomfort for the babies or a longer trip in a van that's possibly annoying for everyone.

How do I reach Bhutan from Delhi?

By RoadBhutan is a landlocked country and shares 3 borders with India. Out of these, Assam and West Bengal borders are used by maximum travelers to travel between the 2 countries. The roads in Bhutan around the Assam border(given the hilly terrain) are not so developed. Also, the gate may close down in case of any unrest in the state of Assam.West Bengal(Jaigaon) border is the preferred one for those who wish to take a road trip to Bhutan. The gate remains open from 6:30 AM IST to around 10:00 PM IST. There are separate entrances for vehicles and on foot travelers. The immigration office in Phuentsholing is only 100 m away from the gate.By TrainThe nearest railway stations to Jaigaon are New Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and New Cooch Behar. How long does a car ride from Los Angeles to New York take?

Non stop? About forty hours, not including traffic, stopping for gas, that one time you missed the exit so you had to circle around, stopping for meals, and when you get pulled over for speeding in Kansas. So about two full days, maybe three. In practice, you’ll probably want to stop to sleep, so six days instead of three. Nine if you don’t like staying in a car for 12 hours at a time. Unless you have to get across in a certain timeframe, I would recommend taking two weeks to a month to kind of enjoy a trip across the country. Take a a day or two to see Chicago, Denver, Salt Lake City, maybe even stop in Las Vegas. If you’re on a tight schedule, maybe take a flight, as the flight itself is only six hours. Assuming your vehicle has somewhere around a 300 mile range, and a tank of gas is around $40, you’re looking at about $400 dollars to drive before tolls, stimulants, and other miscellaneous vehicle expense. Or the price of a non-stop, 6 hour ticket between the two cities in coach. If you’re willing to go cheaper, and don’t mind a long connection, you can get flights that are even cheaper and are still faster than driving.

Should I fly or take the train between Kiev and Lviv, Ukraine?

Both goes, depends on the situation. The railway station in Kyiv is located in the center and is easy to reach. It takes about 6 hours to get from Kyiv to Lviv by Intercity train for the price around 300 UAH. You will have to spend around 3000 UAH for flight ticket. Flight from/to Kyiv departs from the main international airport in Boryspil, which is about an hour drive from the Kyiv center. Considering that you can save 3 hours of your life for that trip maximum. My suggestion is to fly if it’s a part of an aerial trip with a connection flight in Boryspil. In other case I would prefer to take a train.
