How much is it to visit Kerala (Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, Trivandrum, etc.)?
To visit these places you need to have minimum of 5 nights and 6 days. The cost of this package is depend on what you choose or which category hotel you are choosing and whether you are staying in a houseboat or resort in Aleppey. Is it safe to visit Kerala now? I plan to travel Munnar, Alleppey, Kovalam, and Kanyakumari from 12th to 19th October. Are the alerts for thunderstorms removed?
It seems like the stories being born are equating Kerala to be a flood-prone state. Even the current cyclone alert looks like that. The rains hardly touched the Kerala coastline. The flood which occurred earlier was due to the deep issue of dam mismanagement. Kerala receives only half the amount of rainfall than Maharashtra - this statistic might remove some doubts.The state is only recovering from some mismanaged and probably avoidable errors.PS: I am clarifying this as I know some officers who are directly connected with the Kerala related issues.

Will it be safe to travel to Munnar by October after the current flood? I am traveling with my family in October to Munnar from Kochi Airport. Are roads cleared to travel to Munnar, and what is the situation in Munnar?
Last Sunday, the town witnessed a mass cleaning drive, in which members of hotel and restaurant association, tourism and residents actively participated. The district administration has begun work to repair roads and restore power and communication facilities.Though nobody has announced any deadline for going back to normalcy, a resolve to do everything as soon as possible was visible on each face.So I suggest you to kindly postpone the plan as the Munnar as well as the whole Kerala is in recovery mode.
