Dyed My Hair Easy Ways To Make It Health Again

How can I get my hair healthy again?

The only things you should be doing are things to help recover it.

First off, use a creamy shampoo, so you don't strip more oils and moisture from your dry hair. Also, don't wash your hair everyday unless you have to.

Second, CONDITION. use a normal wash-off conditioner, but also look to use a leave-on conditioner so you have 24hour protection and moisture around the clock. As well as keeping your hair away from heat styling tools, try to keep it from long exposure to direct sunlight. Yes, prolonged direct sunlight can cause your hair to dry out, just like your skin will.

Third, give yourself a hair mask. There are many ways to give yourself one. A great drugstore one I've always used and swear by is the Neutrogena hair mask. It's in an orange tub, and lasts for a while. What i would do is, after shampooing and conditioning, squeeze access water out and comb it through your hair with a wide-tooth comb (any other would damage wet hair). After that, tie your hair up in a bun and put on a shower cap, and let it hydrate as you stay in the shower. The heat and steam will help your hair absorb it better, giving it better moisture penetration. Before you leave the shower, rinse it out. you should already feel a difference in the texture of your hair. I swear, this Neutrogena one is a charm. Your hair feels soft and silky right after!!

Fourth. however, because your hair is super damaged, I would recommend further moisture protection throughout the day. Use a good leave-in conditioner. It should look and feel just like normal conditioner, only you can leave it in your hair. Use a oil-based, or creamy one.

Fifth, DO NOT use any heating products! Your hair needs rest from all the abuse you've given it, so let it recover. Just let your hair air dry. If you must, only use a hair dryer to help shape your hairstyle. Alternate between warm (not hot!) and cool air so your hair does not over heat. Oh, and remember to use a heat protectant.

I hope this helps. If you follow it religiously, your hair should be on its way back to recovery.

Stick to it!

How long will it take for my hair to be healthy again?

I was in your shoes once and the only thing that will work is to go natural in the products you use.
Read all of the labels you have- do they have waxes? sulfates? alcohols? Many words you can't pronounce? Most of what you are using is only coating your hair to make it manageable for the next few days. If you used none of that stuff it would be in a worse state, correct? (and if you use tresemme heat protectant for example, that actually coats your hair with a thin wax-like film)

Put coconut oil in your hair and leave in for 30 minutes to an hour. Rinse and then shampoo. Dilute apple cider vinegar with an equal amount of water and, tilting your head back, slowly pour from your roots and let it soak down into your ends. Use the rest to soak your ends and leave in for 6 minutes or longer. When you rinse it out of your hair you will notice how soft your hair is already. The smell goes away once it dries and you do not need to use conditioner.
The coconut oil is like argan oil- one of the few oils "small" enough to enter the hair follicle and moisturize and repair it. The apple cider vinegar actually seals your hair strands which gives it that soft, shiny, manageable hair so effortlessly.

I would suggest doing this once or twice a week. This honestly works like a dream and it is a lot natural for your hair than drugstore products full of things that we should not even be putting on our hair

Good luck! (:

How can I get my REALLY damaged hair soft and healthy again?

1- Use a brush with natural boar bristles.
2- Don't braid or put your hair in a ponytail when it is still wet.
3- cut on the chemical treatments such as bleaching, perms, coloring or highlighting.
4- Minimize heat styling with things such as hot combs, hair dryers and curling irons.
5- Although the best thing to do, is to avoid using heat styling, it is still important to dry your hairs roots after washing it.
6. Maintain a healthy diet - Eat eggs/meat/ fruits/vegetables/etc
7. Keep it trimmed
8-Massage the scalp - It helps the circulation going on your head
9. Don’t wash your hair every day
10. Comb after wash it - Dont Brush it
11. Always Use Heat Protectant when heat styling.
12- use a deep conditioner once a week
13- apply Moroccan oil or Argan oil on your hair every night before you go to sleep (They can be found in pretty much any store)
14- brush it once everyday to get the natural oils from your scalp to your hair so it makes it more healthier
15- Wash your hair with a Sulfate free shampoo and conditioner
16- Do braids in your hair before going to sleep, it also helps with the growing process
17- Home remedies could also help.
18- Never use elastic bands to secure hair unless they have fabric covering them.
19- Wash your hair with warm water and do a final rinse with cold soft water, it locks your hair's shine

How long should you wait to dye your hair again?

Depends what dye and the condition of your hair.Permanent dyes: Minimum a week. Longer is better. I would wait until you can't bear with the roots before you touch up, but after 5cm it can get tough because the hair close to the scalp develops really fast.Bleach: Minimum two weeks. Longer is much better. If hair is really broken: rather grow back healthy hair, or use natural dyes like tea.General Tip: a week or two right before and after dyeing baby your hair a little bit. Don't treat it too much with heat and don't wash it too often and too hot, as it strips oils it will desperately need. Use a several hour coconut hair mask before dyeing (don't rinse out) and every now and then to get it back to shape.

How can I make my hair more healthy?

1. Use deep conditioning hair masks weekly. Doesn't have to be expensive, DIYs (egg, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, honey masks) are way more cheap and healthy! Leave it in for an hour for maximum results.
2. When hair is wet, use a wide toothed comb to detangle. Brushes cause further breakage.
3. For hair loss, try not to be stressed, and take biotin capsules. If it is falling out drastically, consider talking to a dermatologist.
4. Use sulfate-free shampoo (sulfate strips off your hair's natural oils) and a silicone-free conditioner. (Silicone can only be washed out with sulfate infused shampoos!)
5. Only shampoo hair every other day. Conditioner is a must though.
6. To achieve volume and less oily hair, use dry shampoo.
7. For fast hair growth, (about an inch a week), try the inversion method where you flip your head upside down and massage the scalp for 5 mins once a day.
8. It's good that you don't really style your hair. If you do though, try easy, heatless hairstyles you can find all around the web.
9. Get regular 1/2-1 inch trims every 6-8 weeks. Split/dry/brittle ends can work their way up your hair over time and cause more breakage!
10. Use castor oil for your thin hair spots. Castor oil is supposed to grow hair out within a small amount of time - even on eyebrows, eyelashes, etc.
11. Don't try to use extensions which are holding on to your scalp as these can cause breakage and irritate your scalp a lot, hearing that you have a sensitive scalp.
