Dying Hair From Brown To Blonde

Can you dye blonde hair brown??

That depends largely on whether or not the blonde is natural. If the blonde is natural then you shouldn't have much of a problem. The color might be a shade lighter than the box indicates, but that should be it. If your hair has been chemically processed blonde then dying over it at home is not a good idea. Getting hair blonde, especially a light shade as is in your avatar, requires some level of bleach. Boxed hair dyes typically don't take to hair that has been bleached blonde well. What a person typically ends up with when they try this is an odd mix of the blonde and the store bought shade that isn't attractive. Basically, if the blonde isn't natural you'll need to go to a salon and get a darker shade done there. If it is, then you shouldn't have a problem.

I dyed my natural blonde hair to brown. How can I get my blonde back? Do I need to visit the salon?

You could try using a color extractor like the one made by Pravana. It is about $30 and will give several treatments. It is not a bleach. It breaks down the color molecules allowing them to be washed away. You will need to condition the crap out of your hair afterwards. It worked for me after I dyed my natural red hair dark brown. It won’t take you back to your natural color but it took mine back enough that I was able to recolor it to what I wanted by using a color a level lighter than my goal color (a copper blonde instead of a copper red) and by leaving it on only 20 minutes instead of the full 30. If your hair is not too damaged you may want to give it a shot. If you have a lot of damage, be prepared to spend the money (a lot of it) at the salon.

What color do I have if I mix brown hair dye with ash blonde? My hair is dyed brown now.

You will probably get a dark blonde, BUT the more important question is whether the brown dye you currently have is warm or cool toned.Because any ash colour is cool toned, i.e. blue, green or violet based, it means ash over ash could be too cool toned. In extreme cases, the hair could turn green because there is too much of the same colour base.If the brown is warm, i.e. Red, orange or yellow based, then this neutralises the cool tones present in the ash blonde to give a nice, balanced colour (though maybe still leaning slightly towards the ash end).If your brown dye is cool toned, then I’d advise picking up blonde dye that’s “golden” toned rather than “ash”. Obey the colour wheel.

Dying Hair Blonde? Help.?

I'm bored with my hair color. My hair has been multiple shades of brown and red. I want to dye my hair blonde for once. Just for a short time though. What hair dye brand is the best to lighten my hair up without completly ruining it or having it turn orange. Also, I've never dyed my hair blonde before so how long would i have to wait to dye it back to brown without ruining my hair? The last time i dyed my hair was 3 weeks ago with Revlon Medium Ash Blonde.. for some reason it did not do a thing to my hair, my hair is the exact same color as it was before. I even left it in 5 minutes longer since my hair is pretty dark. So i'm guessing i need something a tad bit stronger. Let me know your suggestions Please. Thank You. Oh and let me know what shade of blonde i should use with my skin tone.. half puerto rican.

How to dye blonde hair extensions, brown?

Well first off I'm going to tell you that yes you can dye your human hair extensions, but depending on what brand you bought some extensions will turn out nappy over time from the chemicals altering the extensions. If you bought straight hair extensions, then you don't have to worry about them becoming nappy and tangled but be careful if you bought the wavy/curly extensions. The wavy/curly extensions will become gross and tangle up and usually they lose their curl.

As for the process, you would color them how you would normally color your hair. Obviously take out your extensions, place them over a plastic covered surface (I recommend laying down a plastic trash bag so you can just throw it out after), take a bit of dye in a glove covered hand, and gently run the dye over your extensions as close to/on the track as you can get (try not to get too much on the clip). Let it sit for the normal about of time the box says and then wash them out like normal. I recommend letting them sit on a flat surface to dry after washing them. DO NOT brush the extensions while they're wet.

My gf dyed her hair to brown? She was blonde why would she do that?

I have dark, curly hair also. It makes all the more sense that I like girls who look different. It's a proven fact that blonde guys are more attracted to dark-haired girls and vice-versa.

Can I temporarily dye my brown hair blonde?

You COULD go blonde, however depending on the amount of shades you are going up. You more then likely will have to decolorize (bleach) your hair to make it lighter but they do have a color line out there that is specifically recommended for fine hair. Its called elumen. If you dont "lock" it with a wash after you color your hair the color will only stay in for as long as you let it. The more you wash your hair the quicker it will come out. Usually within approximately a week or so.
