E3 2013 Hands-on With Forza 5

Which next-gen console will you buy:PS4, Xbox One, or WiiU? Why?

As it will be some years before I need to replace my PS3, it's hard to tell. If I had to choose today, however, it would be the Xbox One. Why?I am not a hardcore gamer. The XBox one seems like it has and will continue to have more non-game entertainment options.Did I mention I'm not a hardcore gamer? I play games maybe an hour a month. I own four games. I've never wanted to sell one, never wanted to borrow someone else's games, and thus don't care about any of that stuff. I also never done multiplayer online gaming and have no intention of ever doing so.I'm hoping the XBox One will eventually allow me to get rid of the cable box. The PS4 hasn't made any moves in that direction, and it's a bit of a thing for me.Based on Ariel Williams' answer, it seems like the XBox One will have a slower fade into technological obsolescence.I'm intrigued by Kinect, which I've read is better, more sophisticated and more versatile than  the Sony Camera (or whatever it's called)And because I don't care about the biggest complaints people are making about the XBox One. Required Internet connection? My PS3 is already permanently connected to my WiFi. (Honestly, I don't understand the fuss over this issue: I assumed that our consoles have been permanently connected to the Internet for years. It's like getting mad when your employer says all employees are required to shower daily. Don't you do that already?) Oh, and the privacy issue with the Kinect? A non-issue. To save electricity, I turn off the power strip that my game, cable box, and TV are plugged into when not in use. Let's see Kinect invade my privacy now. (And heck, if it bothers you so much? Throw a towel over it when you're not using it. How hard is that?)To put it succinctly, I'd pick the XBox One because I'm not interested in a gaming console. I'm interested in a media/home entertainment hub-like device that happens to have gaming capabilities.

Will Xbox one games eventually become exclusive to the X over the standard?

I think yes.The official answer is no.What I think is going to happen is a few screw ups with patches and scaling. This console is a beast of specs so most anything that is thrown at it it will do. But the rest of your line One and One S which will probably continue to make up a grand portion of your base will probably have game unplayable issues. What would prove all this is games, which theres been scant details of, games would honestly sell this console than anything else. Would also show that maybe this console is ready which I also have my doubts it is.Theres been points in the xbox history where having just one to two consoles out caused major issues. Now they’ll have three, three with slightly different capabilities. Despite the adoption to 4k being slower than 1080 we will have a console that does the former instead of the latter just better than previously. In the words of a failed candidate for PM of the UK “Its going to be a shitshow!”.

Which would you choose if you had to choose between a PS4 and an Xbox?

you should go with the PS4two years ago i had to choose between the two,i put some deciding factors and i was planning to get Xbox ,let’s take a look:1-Graphics:There is no much differencebetween the two but The PS4 is more likely to run your games in 1080P/60fps, actually it didn’t matter to me both sucks compared to pc (pc master race and all).note: i am not talking about any variants of both consoles (e.g. Xbox S-PS4 Pro..etc)you can see for yourself here just slight differences2-Exclusives:Exclusives is one major deciding factor and and Xbox lacked good exclusives compared to PS4 2 years ago and now it even lacks more,I don’t want to sound sound like a fanboy i like both consoles but i think PS4 is going to win on this one,Most of the xbox exclusives are now released or going to be released on PC except for Halo and some other games that you won’t care about while the ps4 on other hand has many solid exclusives released and some others coming in the future (e.g. The last of us 2,Horizon Zero Dawn..etc) (And you got to play the next crash Bandicoot game so another win for PS4)3-Controllers:First The DualShock 4:-Good Size-Garbage quality-Bad Battery (it keeps telling me battery low three hours before i need to recharge it) but it can be recharged using a usb cable.-there is a share button you can press to take screenshot or to save the last 15 minutes of gameplay.-there is light bar in the front which you can customize and it look cool actuallyXbox one controller:-Good quality-Better in use,But it’s size is huge.-just slight difference from The X360 one-Can’t be recharged.4-Size:-PS4:L:30.5 12W:27.5 8h:5.3 2-Xbox One:L: 26.3 10.4W: 34.3 13.5h: 8 3.2-The PS4 is much smaller and lighter:5-Price:Both $299 in the US6-Network Services:-Microsoft’s servers are much better and you get much better free games if you are subscribed to the Xbox live service8-Indie Games:-Both are goodand always buy the console your friends have, you won’t regret it.hope that helped, this is from personal experience.

Why has the PS4 been so successful?

First off, Sony is and has been a reliable brand for quite some time, before they even released their first Playstation console. After that, the consoles began to speak for themselves, as the original Playstation greatly helped push the next era of gaming into the next level. After that, the PS2 cpatilized on the success of the disc-based era, and produced TONS of great titles amassed throughout an even larger library of games to choose from.Take it to the next gen of consoles, the PS3 started off incredibly sluggish when compared to the earlier generations. After a few years of price drops, exclusive game releases and slimmer models, the PS3 was able to close off the generation exceptionally well, while some new games are still releasing on the console. Persona 5 comes to mind first. Now we’re in the PS4 era and Sony has taken everything they’ve learned throughout the decades (including the biffed PS3 start) and have become the top selling gaming console of this current generation. To add to their history, the sheer number of big name exclusive titles like Uncharted, Bloodborne, Street Fighter V, previously mentioned Persona 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier Automata, among many, many more. The success of the PS4 is showing the industry that fun and exciting titles sell consoles the best, and if a particular company has a long list of big name titles exclusively on their brand, then chances are, that’s what will sell the console the best.Hope this helps a bit!
