What word range does 800-word essay mean?
It depends on what the instuctions say. If it says that the essay needs to be at least 800 words, then you need to write an essay for more than 800 words. Doesn't have to be too much over 800, just a bit preferably.If the teacher said that the essay needs to be under 800 words, then 800 is the maximum amount of words you can have.If it was said just as vaguely as "in the range of 800 words", then I would suggest you ask your professor to specify if that is the minimum or maximum amount of words. He may think it's clear. However, to me it seems that "in the rage of 800 words" means that the essay needs to be somewhere between 700 to 900 words.
