What is the best song that represents your generation?

It may sound a bit funny but I will place a song as below in this category. A song of Bob Dylan. It’s a song of 60s and when I first listened to that I kept playing it many a time. The song was quite different and dedicated to the mankind.I first listened to this song during my childhood but couldn’t make any sense out of it till I grew up. In my view, that song has a noble message in each of its word and nobody can deny that. I think it shows a completely different thought process on the part of the composer and am sure, this is one of his compositions that earns him the prestigious Noble award. I consider it Iconic.Bob Dylan's Blowing in the wind easy guitar songThe video link below is a simple cover of this song carrying some strong message to the society. You may find each word very meaningful and thought provoking.

Song representing one of the 27 amendments?

I am doing a project for school where I have to find a song representing one of the 27 amendments. I've been researching for hours and can't seem to find one. Help would be GREATLY appreciated!

If each country represented a Bollywood song, what would they be?

Actually, the brands that they represent, in a way, shows what they are.Aamir Khan - Samsung, great sounding products (fizzle after a while. I have personally witnessed its customers sitting in a beeline with their Galaxy Tab, 6 months after purchase. My Samsung PC broke down 3 times in the last 5 years).SRK - Nokia. Great hype, bad products. The star and the company are trying to do a comeback for long.Salman Khan - Revital. The man badly needs it, as you can see from his bloated face and non-acting in Race 3 etc.Akshay Kumar - Micromax. Low hype, great products, great profits.Big B - Navratan Tel. You may sneer at it, but can you do without the oil?Kareena Kapoor - Rasna. Refreshing and rejuvenating. Not so good like earlier, but still packs enough charm.

Does each song in Avicii's latest album "Stories" represent a story?

They do! Some more vividly than others but they all do!

In a language like Chinese, where letters represent concepts rather than sounds, how do you write lyrics, scripts, foreign names etc. where the exact sounds are important?

Chinese characters do actually have sounds associated with them; however, unlike languages with alphabets, the sounds represented by each character must be memorized. Characters you don’t know can’t simply be sounded out like you might be able to do if you didn’t know a word in English. Since each character does in fact have an associated sound (in some cases, there are multiple ways to pronounce the same character depending on how it is used), then foreign names can actually be transliterated into Chinese. For example, Bill Gates is often transliterated to 比尔 盖茨 or Bi er Gai ci. Lyrics and the like can have their meanings translated into Chinese, and can maintain the rhymes of the original language, but often just the meaning will be kept without much effort to keep the rhymes. It is the same if a Chinese song (which often also use rhyming syllables) were translated to English. The meaning can be maintained, but the effect is simply different from the way it is arranged in its original language. Hope this answers your question.
