Independence Day vs The Day After Tomorrow vs 2012?
I like each of these films but I think 2012 slightly edges it over The Day After Tomorrow for me. My favourite is Independence Day because I can recall the excitement which built as its release got nearer and I remember how good it was to see it in the pictures. So there you have it.
Edge of Tomorrow vs. War of the Worlds?
Out of the two Tom Cruise alien films, which one do you think is better? And between the alien race from War of the Worlds and the one from Edge of Tomorrow, which one do you think would win in an all war against each other?
What movies should you watch if you liked Edge of Tomorrow?
If you mean you liked the repeating time-loop concept, then i would suggest Source Code. In both movies lead character repeats the loop of dying and eventually learn they can loop time.

UK vs USA war who would win?
Tell me your opinion. I think the UK would win because of all their allies. The UK has the whole of Europe to back them up and even if it was only the UK it would be difficult for the USA to win anyway.

Are there any alien invasion stories that referred to the invasion as WWIII?
There are plenty of alien invasion stories that have a world wide scope (like the movie Independence Day, Edge of Tomorrow—which was based on WWII—and War of the Worlds), but none that refer to those conflicts as WWIII as it’s not the world at war with itself (the normal meaning of a world war). Most novels, like Welcome to the Occupied States of America, will only address the global aspects of such a war in passing, focusing in on the theoretical conflict in one location. This is mainly due to the scope and size of such a global event. Think about actual World Wars and you get only broad strokes at a global level, with detailed depictions focusing on certain battles (Somme, Passchendaele, the Normandy Invasion, Stalingrad, Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima, Gallipoli, etc) as there is SOOOOO much detail surrounding just those events that to go out to the macroscopic scale of the entire war is to lose sight of what happened at a local level.World Wars are truly horrendous, and almost impossible to perceive as a whole without losing sight of what happened at each locale and reducing them to statistics. Over two thousand men died at the battle of Lone Pine on the Gallipoli peninsular in a space smaller than a football field, as an example. That’s two thousand untold stories of human tragedy on both sides.
