Email Will Not Move To Folder

Can't move emails into folders?

In the newest Yahoo mail (Beta version) that's what happens.

All you have to do is "drag and drop" the email to the folder you want.
**************************************
If course "drag and drop" doesn't work with the older Classic version.

Why won't my email move to folders?

If you cannot move them try dragging and dropping them to the folder you want them in.

I can't move emails from my inbox to folders?

I click the small box to the left of the email I want to move, then, using my cursor, move it to the intended folder. When I do this, I can click the small box w/an "x", but cannot move the message. I also try clicking the intended message, and then clicking the "move" box on top, but nothing comes down from the move box like it used to do; it used to show folders I've created that I could move the message to. Now nothing.

Could you create a rule to move an email to folder as soon as you receive it in Gmail?

Absolutely - I do this all the time to sort my incoming mail prior to reading it.** desktop version only **You receive an email you'd like to pre-sort (from ‘Cat Lovers Quarterly’ for instance)Open that email from your inboxClick the arrow next to “Reply” in the top right cornerSelect “Create filter” from the drop down list (fun note here - this option doesn't appear on the list after your first viewing of the message)In this window you create the matching criteria for your pre-sorting filter(i.e., “Sender: ‘info@catlovers.com’ or ‘Has the words ‘Cat Lover’“)Click “Next”In this second window you tell gmail what to doSelect “Skip Inbox”Select “Move to folder” and select (or create) the folder (i.e., ‘Cat Lovers’)Tick the box for “Apply this rule to (xx) conversations”Click the “Create Rule” buttonRepeat as many times as you like!

Why is the move email to folder function still not working in Yahoo mail?

Simply put this is a glitch that Yahoo has yet to resolve. In the meantime

Presently, there is a major problem for some users moving their
emails to one of their folders....The below method can be used
until Yahoo resolves this issue.

You can drag and drop the email in to one of your folders.
=======================================...
Just to help you if you do not know what drag and drop means.

Place your cursor over the senders name or the subject matter and hold down the
left click on your mouse....move your cursor to the left and hover it over the folder
you wish it to go in to. Let go of your left click. It should now be in there.

Also, if you are doing it properly it will look like you are pulling over an ENVELOPE with your
cursor.

How can I move filtered Gmail emails to a separate folder at once rather doing it one by one (not labeling as I want to move them to a separate folder)?

You seem to be mixing things up; Gmail doesn’t have “folders”; it just has labels. Each message can have zero or more labels.By “moving into a folder”, you probably mean “assign a label and archive the message” (so that it doesn’t appear in your Inbox any more). So in a filter: choose both “apply the label …” and “skip the Inbox (Archive it)” options.

I moved hundreds of emails from the inbox to a sub folder, and now there are two labels. How do I remove the inbox label for all the emails in the sub folder all at once?

Assuming this is a question about Gmail (the question doesn’t say), first visit the subfolder, then select All from the drop-down menu, click where it offers to select all the messages with the label (otherwise it will just select the first 50), then select Archive from the Actions (three vertical dots) menu. That will remove the Inbox label from the selected messages.

I can't move most "Sent" mail to other folders or Delete them in latest Yahoo Mail?

UPDATE: OK, I have figured it out on my own. If there is a workaround that somebody knows please let me know.

For the "New" mail:

"Sent folder icon Sent—You can’t transfer messages out of the Sent folder, but you can transfer messages into this folder. Once you move a message out of the Sent folder, you can’t move it back in. Learn more"

and

for "Classic" aka "Basic" mail:

Sent folder icon Sent—You can transfer messages out of the Sent folder, but you can’t transfer messages into this folder. Once you move a message out of the Sent folder, you can’t move it back in, unless you send it again.

So that explains it. Why the different/change on what you can do? Hello Yahoo???
