Emails Generated By One Of Our Members Posts Show Up Blank No Text . They Show Up On The Site

Yahoo messenger text window blank?!?

Yahoo never goes more than 12 months without making major changes to their site. New home page, new email features, new Y!A features, updated calendar and notepad. Many users wish that Yahoo would just leave things alone. When they work on the site, there are huge problems. Your problem has been reported to Yahoo by many users. When so many people all have the same problem at the same time, you know it is not your computer. It is Yahoo working behind the scenes. When Yahoo's engineers were asked why they don't just shut down the site for 2 days to complete the work, they said that they need to have the site up and running to know if their "fixes" are working. We are in the midst of major (and minor) upgrades. At the left side of the email page, "Stationery" and "My Cool Fonts" no longer appear.
The one certainty is that all of the problems will disappear when Yahoo finishes their upgrades. They all clear up at once. Then everything gets back to normal for 9-10 months. We users will have many new features (some we like and some we don't).
The other way we know that work is being done is that none of the Help Desk troubleshooting tips work to solve the problem. You just have to wait. Some users post workarounds at suggestions.yahoo.com (Answers).

How can Dreamweaver's generated PDF forms be configured to use the POST method to send data to a php script?

To the best of my knowledge -- and this is confirmed by a cursory examination of Adobe's Web site -- you can't create PDF files with Dreamweaver.

It may be that these folks are using one of the combined Adobe products that includes Acrobat and Dreamweaver and they are totally confused as to even what program they are using.

In fact, after reviewing the documentation at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/8.0/Professional/help.html I am convinced they are using Acrobat and just don't know enough to not call it Dreamweaver.

That said, Adobe's documentation points out that built into Acrobat is the ability to save desktop-based form results to a file or to invoke the client's e-mail program / a third-party program to e-mail the results.

Clearly, the designers are only capable of understanding that much.

However, if you check the documentation and look at the Forms part of the documentation, you will find an option named "publishing interactive Web forms."

If you click on that, it explains how to create a submit button, specify a handling URL, etc.

That should accomplish what you are after, assuming you can get the designers to use the right terms and learn how to read.

Or, you could just have them send you the basic form, and add the buttons / processing stuff yourself.

About an email I got from Yahoo.?

100% scam.

That is a scammer trying to hi-jack your email address to spam all your contacts and then use the account to spam hundreds/thousands of others.

Yahoo and all email companies, all banks and all companies in the entire world will NEVER ask for your password, pin or date of birth. No Exceptions Ever.

Ignore and delete that email and any others demanding such information.

If you have responded to a scammer, you are on his 'potential sucker' list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of needing your password, great jobs, lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell your email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram.

Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, you could google for information. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don't bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn't worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash.

Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money, email address or identity to a scammer.

If you google "yahoo email phishing scam", "email hijacked viagara porn spammer" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts of victims and near victims of this type of scam.

In fact, if you check out the section here at Yahoo Answers entitled "Yahoo email, spam and bulk mail" you will find hundreds of questions from victims who have had their email address hi-jacked or spoofed by scammers sending out porn and viagra spam.

Previously the message would hop into the Others folder which was usually considered a graveyard. No one ever looks into that even when I went into it for first time I was amazed that I had like 39 messages from others users. Besides Now, I can see that facebook has added a new feature and whenever you receive a new message you will get a notification saying "You have a new message request" so you can easily look into and its your wish to accept or to decline that message. So I would suggest you to send him a message again now and It will surely be seen by him and if he does not reply then stop stalking him. Hoping that would clear your doubts.
