Error With Facebook Pages

Facebook Checkpoint Error / Error 500 / Login Error?

UPDATE: User "Jawan" seems to be correct, I kept on refreshing the checkpoint landing page (I was using my Android mobile browser), after 40-50 refresh cycles I was prompted to review Facebook policies and it finally let me log on. Here is what User "Michael Cullen" said in another Q&A, I believe he is correct:

"After I contacted various Facebook members of staff last night, it seems that they took the right action, because today I was able to login with no issue :)

ONE post I'd made had been removed as being against their "community guidelines", and in order to continue I just had to review their Terms & Conditions. Apparently the PHP script for that was corrupt, or had the wrong permissions set, or something akin to that; anyway, the upshot was that we were getting stuck before the process even began.

Oh well, it's all fixed now :)"

Facebook photo upload error: "Page to upload is unacessible"?

I get the error "Page to upload is unaccessible" when i try to upload photos on facebook. The upload bar gets pretty far and looks like its almost done but then i get this error. I tried the simple uploader and it just takes forever for like 5 pictures, and probably wont work no matter how long i leave it. Any ideas why it doesnt work and how to fix it?

What could cause a particular page on Facebook to result in an error 10% of the time?

CANDIDATE: Wow, that’s pretty serious. Let’s figure this out. Is this error expected? Do we historically have 10% error on this page?INTERVIEWER: No, this is a new thing.CANDIDATE: Okay. What is the usual error rate on here? And when did this start happening?INTERVIEWER: The error rate on this page is less than 0.01%. This started happening last month.CANDIDATE: Hmm, okay. Is this a gradual increase or a sudden spike?INTERVIEWER: It’s a sudden spike.CANDIDATE: Okay. Errors are not what we want or expect on a page like this. Seems like a real problem. Let’s mark down the date this happened in. We should remember it because it’ll be important later on. Let’s figure out what caused this problem. I would do a quick skim through my emails for things around that day to see if we’ve pushed out any changes that could have caused this. This is just a shortcut that won’t take too much time.INTERVIEWER: You found a few changes being pushed out around that day, but nothing incriminating.CANDIDATE: Okay. It’s possible some of those changes inadvertently caused it, but let’s keep going. I want to be absolutely certain nothing else is out of the ordinary before I dive deeper, so I am going to pull the funnel here. It’s likely something like: DAU on Facebook, views of all pages, views of this page, error rate. A caveat here is that I assume even an error on this page is still a view.INTERVIEWER: Everything looks normal, except the error rate.CANDIDATE: Alright, let’s move on then. Let’s break down this by source… by device first – desktop, iOS, Android, and Kindle.INTERVIEWER: This error seems to be happening on everything.CANDIDATE: That possibility is excluded. Let’s see if this is happening on all browsers.INTERVIEWER: It seems to be fine across browsers.CANDIDATE: Okay, we got another source we can breakdown by. Can we break this down by direct (people coming directly here), external search (searching via Google), Facebook search (internal searching), and referral (paged linked elsewhere).INTERVIEWER: Turns out the error is happening exclusively from referral.CANDIDATE: Okay, let’s break that down further. I am imagining there might be multiple sources of this, such as buttons, or links internally and externally. Can we break it down further by that?INTERVIEWER: Seems like the error is exclusively from a specific button! Turns out one of the changes you saw in the email earlier caused this. Good job!

What is the cause and the solution for the Facebook error: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can"?

I don't work for Facebook, but generally, when an Internet service returns an error like that, it's due to some timeout or runtime exception while processing the request.Timeouts occur when an API failed to respond within a given period of time, often 1 second or 2 seconds. These timeouts are set aggressively to prevent too many requests from being queued on front-end servers, which leads to resource exhaustion on the front-end servers.  It would typically occur if Facebook front-end or back-end servers are becoming too overloaded.Runtime exceptions can also occur for a variety of reasons, including overloaded servers, memory exhaustion, disk exhaustion, thread contention, etc.

"the page you requested was not found" problem with facebook?

Okay, so the thing goes like this and it started this morning.

I try to use an application that requires facebook connection to use (like a sync facebook pictures, draw something, etc.)

When I load up the application that requests the facebook connection and the app loads up the facebook sign-in page for me to sign in through the app and connect to facebook it says "the page you requested was not found". I have tried this both on my Android device, as well as my iOS device nothing has solved this problem so far. I am unable to connect at all to facebook through the apps. I have not edited any privacy settings or nothing. It just doesn't work.

If you guys have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Just remember this is from a Android/iOS device NOT from a computer with a browser like Firefox, Chrome, etc..

Facebook login problem?

When I try to log on either my app or regular web it tells me account temporary unavailable in order to regain access to ur account facebook needs to open a browser so I press ok it takes me here but doesn't upload the page https://m.facebook.com/checkpoint/?next=fb%3A%2F%2Ffeed%2F it says error. Web page not available

The Web page at https://m.facebook.com/checkpoint/?next=fb%3A%2F%2Ffeed%2F could not be loaded as:

HTTP error code: 500 , Internal Server Error

On Facebook messenger, for a particular contact, an error message says “something went wrong, please try again”. Why is this happening?

It means something went wrong and that you can try again
