Does WhatsApp allow conference calls?

Hello,Right now, WhatsApp does not allow conference calls. While this may change soon, until the capability is rolled out for users, it’s probably best you consider using alternatives to WhatsApp.I work for “grptalk”, a mobile conference calling app, so my response may seem partisan. grptalk is one of the closest alternatives to Whatsapp, in terms of simplicity and ease-of-use. And, the comparision isn’t entirely unwarranted. Here are some reasons why:Just like WhatsApp:Once you install grptalk and register your phone no. your phone contacts will be synced to the applicationYou can name a group, select & add contacts to the group with a few clicksUnlike WhatsApp, though:grptalk lets you schedule a conference call for later or call your group instantlyAll grptalk calls are transmitted over (Non VOIP) telephone lines. This assures crystal clear audio quality and better connectivity, even in remote areas, grptalk supports large audio conferences (3-500 member calls).grptalk participants don’t need to install the app to recieve callsPlease check out my earlier answer on grptalk for more details about the application. You can also visit the grptalk website. If you're looking for a package, please send us an email at hello@grptalk.com. Alternatively, you can contact Prashant on +91-9100981855.Cheers,Ameya C

Why isn't Caller ID working on my i...Why isn't Caller ID working on my iPhone?Last Updated: May 13, 2016 11:46AM CESTThere are a number of reasons why Truecaller might not be able to identify an incoming call for you:Your Truecaller app has been force-quit and is not running in the background. You have a slow or no data connection (needs 3G, 4G or strong WiFi).Your call is coming from a non-Truecaller users. For iPhone callers: Needs to be initiated from inside the Truecaller app, Widget or Action extension. Caller ID might not work if battery level is too low.For iPhone callers: Needs to be initiated from inside the Truecaller appIf any of these are occur then unfortunately Truecaller will not be able to show you the Caller ID.HAS ANYONE TRIED THESE ??Edit- of late I have discovered that live caller id do work on iOS 9.3.2 on iphone 6. just kept truecaller in backgroud with wifi ON. whenever someone calls, a truecaller notification comes before phone gets ringing. It works !Edit 2 - iOS user will receive notification only if the caller is a true caller user. Hope this limitation is resolved in future .

How do I know if my cell number has been blocked on another cell phone I am calling?

Switch on your text message delivery reports. Send a txt to the number in question. You'll know within seconds. If it says pending, the phone is switched off or out of coverage. If it says delivered, the phone is receiving your calls and text messages but notifications are switched off on the phone your calling and texting to. A Simple way around you being blocked by the phone your calling is to withhold your number before calling it. The other person's phone won't recognize a withheld number and let you through, notifying the other person they got a call. Try it. It will definitely work.

Why does my phone hang up itself?

I assume that you might have googled this question before submitting it on Quora. And you might have across various reasons behind the ‘hanging’ of your phone.Various reason? There can be only THREE reasons behind it!Apps running in the background: This is, by far, the most obvious reason why your phone is hanging. There’s nothing wrong with apps running in the background. You might say, “Wait a minute. You just said that the apps running in the background is one of the most obvious reason. But now you’re saying that there’s nothing wrong. What’s wrong with you?”But before you scroll down to the next answer let me first give you a clarification.Useless apps running in the background are the main culprit. They feed on your RAM unnecessarily.Get rid of them. You will definitely see an improvement in your phone’s performance.(Bonus: You will even clear some space, which takes us to my next reason)Lack of Internal Storage: I always suggest my friends to keep at least 1GB of free space in their internal storage. Why so?See, our phones have Solid-state drives (SSD). Whenever they are almost full their writing performance gets affected. And when the writing performance gets affected, the overall performance of the phone, like carrying out various tasks, gets affected.Operating System: “Wait, what? How can the Operating System be the reason?”OK. I mean to say outdated Operating System.Every year a new update is been released. That also means that every year our Operating System becomes an year old (Unless your OEM pushes the latest the update for your phone). But what if the OEM decides not to provide your phone anymore updates. Your OS becomes outdated.Soon when a new version is launched, most of the app developers start optimizing their apps so that it can run smoothly on the new OS version. So when we update such apps on our phones, running the outdated OS, they MIGHT not be as they were before. You might notice that the app isn’t as responsive or as fast as it was before. There you go!So now that you know what’s slowing down your phone, you might be wondering how to make it faster?I got your back!Follow this link: Why do Android phones slow down? and How to fix it? (2017)You will find more clearer explanation on the above mentioned points and also the ways to make your phone faster and to give a performance boost.Cheers!
