Everytime I Try To Watch A Movie Or Click On A Link - I Get All These Tabs Full Of Spam Popping Up

Every time I click something on a web page a new window opens showing some advertisement. I have the AdBlock extension in Chrome. Any solution to my problem?

The problem situation varies, if the browser opens with some other search engine when you start with any browser, First try with..Clean your browser cache etc..Remove all the unknown chrome extensions.Change the default search engine…Activate Adblock and check whether POP window and 3rd party are blockedClear the browserIf it doesn’t work then your computer contains browser hijacker where you would have download and installed the suspicious and malicious software form unprotected website where neither your anti-virus nor windows defender cannot block that.you cannot find that software in Add Programs and u can’t delete in MY ComputerBut it can be removed by full version antivirus with malware remover where u have to scan 2 to 3 times fully..But make sure that the antivirus you are searching in net to remove it will give fake malware remover which will give strength to hijacker becoz the browser and the search will be totally controlled by this.So use reputed antivirus like kaspersky, Avira, Norton, K7, NPAV etc…

How do I block pop up adverts on movie streaming sites?

While you could use any number of popup blockers for this, I’d ask what sites are you using that have popups for movies?I subscribe to several online streaming services, use many free ones as well. Not one has popups. Several have commercials, but I’ve not encountered popups.I’d ask if the sites you’re using are legitimate or are they pirate sites? If they’re illegal streaming site, you could potentially have far worse problems than popups.

Can I get hacked by clicking on a malicious link? What can I do to protect myself if I clicked on a malicious link?

The answer is simple; yes! Clicking on a link is you telling the computer I accept whatever this is and will go wherever this link takes me. The result is that you could download malware, a virus, or rootkit into your machine that allows it to be taken over by a hacker. It becomes part of a bot or botnet. The result is that your computer and its contents belongs to someone else. They can use it and do to it whatever they want. You may never even know this is happening. Some malware is designed to run 'in the background.' Meaning its doing things silently and secretly.  In some instances you may end up with ransomeware. This is a program that takes your computer over completely and forces you to pay a ransome  to get it back. See CryptoLocker - Ramsomeware Rises to New Dangerous LevelsIf you should click on link you believe or discover has delivered malware on your system you need to do an immediate scan using your up-to-date anti-virus program. Then go to the next step and use a root kit scanner. I use the Malwarebytes Beta Rootkit scanner but you could also use Kaspersky Labs free root kit tool. Keep in mind that malware will sometimes reveal itself. If you are lucky. It may change your homepage, add a toolbar or change your default search engine. That's if you're lucky. Unlucky means your files get encrypted, your system goes crazy and won't work or you start getting angry messages from friends claiming you infected their computers. Viruses and malware can send themselves to all your contacts. Unlucky means your passwords have been recorded using a key-logger and a hacker empties your bank accounts and steal your identity.Never click on any link you are not absolutely certain of. Especially in unsolicited email. If you get an email from a friend with an attachment or link don't click on it. Call them and ask them what is it? Maybe its their system that's infected?

How to remove "watched" movies on facebook?

A few days ago i starting rating random movies out of boredom on facebook, and all of the sudden when i look at movies i watched, it says i have 100+ watched movies that I used to watch. My god, my page looks like a kid's page now. I tried everything: I went to my Activity log but there was absolutely no evidence of rating movies whatsoever, I tried clicking the edit button on the top right corner of the movie thumbnail but whenever I click delete it always says:

The content you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page.

So i dont know whats going on...for now i just "hid" my entire movies section..so frustrating...

How can I stop chrome from auto-opening unwanted ad windows?

There are dozens of exploits that’ll cause chrome to open new windows and tabs with no user interaction whatsoever. All these folks telling you you have malware clearly haven’t spend any time downloading illegal porn, videos or software.First, you need something to block malware servers. uBlock Origin is the best thing going as of this writing. Suppliment that with “privacy badger” and you’ll have a fairly tight solution, but you’ll still get a lot of popunder windows and new tabs.Next, get a second monitor, and place it BELOW your browsing monitor. Most of these exploits work by placing a new 0px. x 0px. window offscreen in the browser, which you can’t see to close. A quick hand will allow you to see these windows before they can load a payload and start annoying you. Finally, when you DO get one of the 100’s of “YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED” or “THE FBI HAS BEEN ALERTED TO YOUR ACTIVITY” or whatever threat/scam/etc windows, mouse over the chrome icon in your title bar, and close the window using the red X there, not in the browser window. The only useful plugin i’ve found for this is “Popup blocker (strict)” which is ungodly annoying, but it will stop pretty much anything from opening, including stuff you never thought of as being popups.

What's the scariest pop-up you've ever gotten and why?

While this isn’t technically a pop up it was the most unnerving thing I have had happen to my computer. Around a year ago I got hit with ransomware. I forget what the particular one I had was called but it did what they claim to do - it encrypted everything on my main drive as well as on my secondary storage drive. EVERYTHING. The screen then changed telling me everything had been encrypted and I had so much time to pay in order to get back access to my files. Some important things to note here… this happened on my business laptop. I use this laptop for listing items in my eBay shop, managing my accounts, creating postage labels, checking emails, maintaining my website and social media accounts… essentially for doing all the things that allow my business to function. I don’t open dodgy emails, I don’t visit dodgy websites or download loads of random torrents, etc onto this laptop. To this day I have no idea how this got on to my machine. What is worse is that a day before I got the notice of everything being encrypted I had noticed the laptop slow to a crawl. Thinking I might have somehow picked something up I ran scans of EVERYTHING I could think of. The antivirus I had installed, Spybot S &D, Malwarebytes and I even did a Trend Micro Housecall scan. All of which came back clean. Of course the computer had slowed down because the ransomware was busy encrypting all of my files but nothing picked up this malicious behaviour.Anyway, it was scary only for a few moments. When I realized what happened I immediately disconnected the machine from the network and pulled the secondary drive thinking I could salvage it but it was already toast. Thankfully in the end the only annoyance I faced was the hours it took to wipe then re-format those drives and get the computer up and running again as well as the time I put in to carefully checking my other computers on the network - all of which were clear. I learned a long time ago (thankfully) to back up and back up again. Everything I had on that machine was either backed up to an external drive and the more important business stuff was backed up to both Dropbox and Google Drive. In the end it was scary, then annoying and then I had a certain fascination first with how this managed to get on my computer and second with how efficiently it worked to do what it did. I can only imagine how much money these people make off of folks who simply don’t have backups and really need their files. Scary stuff. Back up your data folks!

How does this popup make a phone vibrate? How can I prevent it?

Were you surfing porn sites?Trying to find a crack for some app?Got lured by something like "You Won ₹XYZ"?Or simply trying to download something illegal? Pirated? If so then you are most likely to come across such type of " phone hijack" kind of webpages. Further clicking on the link shown will end up with an undesired app download or a malware infection. They vibrate the phone vigorously with a countdown timer shown  right above the "fix this" button so that the user who has no idea what's going on and just taps the button in panic. How do they vibrate the phone? By exploiting Chrome's user permission to access vibrate functionality. What to do? Well simply pull down the tab and close it, your will be safe. Use an antivirus app on your phone as an added safety measures. Most importantly, to be safe online as well surf/download *wink* as much as you like use a VPN + Incognito mode on your browser.P.s. Please don't take those questions personally & Thanks for your time reading this.Edit: And yes even if the timer runs out, nothing happens to your phone. I've tried it. But why risk it anyway? I still would want you to close that tab immediately.
