This is my story:I was placed in a top Indian IT services company. After my training got completed I was put on bench.During this time I started visiting a popular online chat site. One fine day of April, 2012 , I met this girl from Punjab. We started chatting. Mind you we were total stranger and had nothing in common.When we started unravelling things about each other she told me that she is in 3rd year of Electronics Engineering course studying in Punjab only.We kept talking and time quickly flew by. We kept exchanging photos and moments with each other but never really met in person. Often times we told each other that we need to meet in real but we would not, due to her family restrictions and she is not that type of girl.Then came the placements, she was placed in the same company as mine. We were very excited that finally we could get the opportunity to meet.But she was sent to Ahmedabad for training and our hopes were broken as after training she could be sent to any office. My company has several offices accross the country. Then again by luck she was sent to New Delhi division after completion of training. My company has 7 offices in New Delhi division including offices in Noida, Delhi and Gurgaon.Luck struck again and she was sent to Gurgaon division. But our offices were different.When she joined Gurgaon office, we finally get to meet. We started dating for a while and finally got committed last year. Remember the dialog from the movie Om shanti om?Kehte hai ki agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho to puri kayinat use tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jati haiThat was our story.
There is one thing which is not actually a lie, but it creates a false perception in people's mind, and many often live with that assumed lie or false perception through out their life unless someone clarifies the truth.That thing is Mercator Projection of world map.Image Source: Google ImagesShow this image to a child and ask him/her whether Greenland is bigger or USA.This projection of world map shows that Greenland is almost as big as USA. Africa continent is smaller than Russia, where as in reality Africa is almost twice as big as Russia. Likewise there are many wrong interpretations which this map shows us.I know that this projection is not to scale or compare based on size, but it is just to show every piece of land on a flat 2D surface at the cost of distorting the actual shape/size of a curved 3D land.There are cartographers, geo-spatial experts, engineers, meteorologists who know the reality, but a common man or children doesn't know all this technicalities and assumes this is the actual representation of our world, when s/he looks this image in calendar or diary or wall posters. I was myself under the impression that Africa is smaller than Russia till my high school.Reality:Africa is 30,200,000 km² in area whereas Russia is 17,098,242 km² in area.A comparison of Africa continent and Russia.Image Source: MapFightTo just have an idea that how much false perception about the world this Mercator projection creates in our mind is in below image. The puny looking Africa (in world map above) which seems comparable to Greenland, can actually hold some of the biggest countries in terms of land area.Image Source: Google ImagesHow this can be corrected?There are many other different types of projection of world map. But when we project a 3D object onto a 2D surface then it always comes at the cost of some sort of distortion.I personally like Gall–Peters projection of world map (image below), which is based on equal-area cylindric projection and shows the comparable size of landmass.Image Source: Wikipedia

NO! for all of your so called 'proof's there a 6 million (or more) examples of what was done. My own f-i-l was a survivor of pearl harbor but to his dying day he only spoke of that day; for more than one or two sentences, perhaps 3 times. What i am saying is just because the people who would LIKE you to believe the lies (they have their own ajenda) are loudly vocal (hey drowning out the compition works right?) this DOES NOT mean there are not thousands upon thousands of others who know, lived, suffered, and lost during the Reality of those times. they just don't get in other peoples faces about it. THINK about this. --- If it didn't happen, WHY do these so- called dubunkers feel the NEED to shout their views- if they weren't lying, they wouldnt need to. to me, its very obvious that you have already made up your mind to believe the lying that is trying to debunk what was done, so why do you bother with the question? Unless of course you really are NOT so sure and you are trying to shove your views down peoples throats to convince yourself- frankly no matter how hard you try it wont change the fact these things happened- they were done. and the lies won't undo them. its like trying to say the civil war not only didnt happen - or if it 'might have' it wasnt important enough to teach in our history books. (this is happing in our schools in certain areas by the way) Frankly i am more worried about the fact that people in power are trying to erase the reality of our actual history- in so doing we erase the chance to prevent the possibility of preventing a reacurrance of these horrors- as the philosopher and poet, Georges Santayana, said "those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.". that my friend is the real problem-
