Excruciating Pain After Throwing Ball

Neck pain after throwing ball?

4 weeks ago while playing football outside I threw the football and I felt a sharp pain in my neck that hurt very badly. I couldn't turn to the left without the sharp pain but I could turn right fine. After 3 days the pain went away but then 2 weeks ago I was playing basketball and I shot an awkward layup where I turned my neck and I felt the same pain I felt except it only lasted a few seconds. Then today I threw a football and the same thing happend and im starting to get really worried because I'm a wide receiver and it involves a lot of turning of the neck. Should I go see a doctor? Is this a serious problem? What is this called and is this a common injury? Thank you to anybody that answers

While throwing a cricket ball and smashing in badminton I feel pain in my elbows. What should I do?

You probably play these sports not very often. It happens to me too. Some of us have a habit of exerting ourselves too much at the start of the game, which is what leads to our throws or smashes being more impulsive and jerk-ish.The solution is to warm-up and let your muscles loose before the game. And try to build up slowly as opposed to putting in everything you can in that first delivery or first serve.

While throwing the cricket ball I feel pain on the outer part of shoulder to biceps, but no issue while bowling. What are some solutions?

Not so sure about tennis elbow … Sounds like it's above that area, maybe in the shoulder or supra spinatus tendon?Depending on the cause, you might need rest, or physical therapy and home exercises, or other treatment.I suggest seeing an orthopedic specialist for a proper evaluation and treatment plan.Good luck.

Excruciating foot pain after wearing high heels? HELP!?

There are several conditions that you may be experiencing. In the ball of the foot, when excessive pressure is placed on it through the use of high heeled shoes, several areas can be injured. While an inflamed nerve branch (called a neuroma) is often at fault, the area you describe may be something else. Under the great toe joint on either side are two small bones called sesamoids. These can become inflamed, or may even fracture, with sustained pressure to the ball of the foot. If the pain is a little more inward towards the base of the second toe (the toe next to the big toe), damage could have been sustained in the capsule and plantar plate, which is the sleeve-like material that covers and reinforces the bottom of this joint. Stress fractures are also not uncommon in this area. You really should see a foot specialist regarding this pain before attempting any of the suggestions of previous answers to your questions, treatment for these three conditions is often somewhat different.

I get pain in the arm when I throw something with full energy (especially while bowling in cricket). What shall I do to control it?

You are getting pain while throwing a ball with full energy .When ever I stop bowling for a long time I will also get a pain in arms .So , if you do practice everyday it will stop .The other reason may be you don't have a good bowling action . You know how much energy you may put into bowling, if you don't have a good bowling action you can't catch up with phase.Bowling is not a simple thing . It needs lot of effort . One need to have a good look on one's bowling action. While bowling the energy should pass from the body through the hand to the Ball . So having a good run up distance and follow through after that will enable a good flow of energy .Have a good look into your bowling action .

GUYS, can u throw up by getting kicked in the balls really hard?

You can go into shock from all the pain like I shark victim if you get hit there. Throwing up isn't that strange.

My upper arm hurts a lot while throwing a ball in cricket. But it doesn't hurt while bowling! Should I worry?

Well…do you go to gym?Because there are certain exercises that u shouldn't workout if u are a cricket player. When I was going to gym, I used to workout at mrng & play cricket at evening…I felt a severe pain in my arms joint while throwing the ball and also while bowling..I thought the pain was temporary but after somedays my hands started shaking while playing…so I continued going to gym and play cricket only during holidays…my gym trainer asked me to chose either gym or cricket. I chose gym…If you are a gym goer, even if u stop ur workouts, the pain will come for many days while playing cricket..it's up to u

How can I treat a swollen throat after vomiting?

I suffer from acid reflux and find that two things help. Stay sitting up for an hour after vomiting to encourage downward movement of stomach contents. Sip plenty of cool water and then before you ie down suck on a couple of ant acid tablets such as Rennie or Bisodol. Let the residue remain and do not wash it down. If the vomit went up the back of your nose or is higher up, a steamy shower first is good and blowing your nose, thought the last part needs to be done in the shower over a few minutes as it gets worse before it gets better. Keeping very well hydrated is always important and nothing replaces plain water.
