Explain Why I Pee So Often

Why does beer make you want to urinate more often than other beverages?

Beer is a diuretic, like other alcohol. May be even more so than others. Diuretic in simple terms means it increases urine output because your kidneys are working hard to flush it out of the body. Alcohol is a toxin after all to the body. A toxin we all enjoy. It's perfectly normal to run to the toilet every 5-10 mins while drinking. It's called "Breaking the seal". It's annoying no doubt but there's nothing you can do about it. And in case your thinking that reducing the amount of booze will reduce the feeling, nope, it doesn't. You still run to the toilet. Running to the toilet like this causes dehydration so make sure you find time to drink water in between them booze. Cheers!

Why do I feel the need to urinate more often?

Several things can cause frequent urination. Most are minor, a few are serious. For example, for many people the first sign of type 1 diabetes is urinating more often and feeling very thirsty. That’s because your body can no longer process sugar, so your kidneys start filtering it out of your blood. They do that by making more urine and you get thirsty from dehydration.Chances are, it’s not diabetes. But it’s possible. To get a diagnosis, you should see a doctor. People on Quora can only provide background knowledge. For scientific/knowledge sharing purposes, I’ll list a few possibilities to show just how many things cause frequent urination, and I’ll explain how you or a doctor would narrow it down.First and foremost, you’ll want to tell your doctor whether you are urinating more and more often, or just more often (in small amounts each time). Producing more total urine points to changes in your body as a whole, and frequent urination with less urine points to issues specific to the bladder or urinary tract.Frequent urination but in small amountsCaffeine and stimulants can make your bladder contract more readily so you feel like you have to go moreEating a lot of acidic foods or taking Vitamin C can make your urine more acidic, so it irritates your urethra and makes you feel like you have to go more oftenA urinary tract infection or bladder infection causes both bladder contractions and irritation, so you feel really uncomfortable and have to go all the time+100s of other possible reasons, most minorFrequent urination in large amountsDrinking more water obviously makes you urinate more. This can happen consciously (you’re doing it to be healthy) or unconsciously (you bought bigger cups, it’s getting warmer so you’re thirsty more often, you started drinking juice or tea, etc.)Drinking alcohol makes you urinate a lotEating a lot of fruit makes you urinate more because there’s lots of water in fruitSuddenly cutting back on carbohydrates or starting a low-carb diet causes the body to let go of stored water so you urinate a lot for one day+100s of other possible reasons, most minorI hope I’ve given you a little better understanding of how to think about your symptoms. Again, if keeps happening, if you feel sick or different in other ways, or it’s not easily explained by one of the harmless causes, let a doctor know.

Why am I urinating so often?

Yes you probly should. Unless you are just drinking way too many liquids. Frequent urination usually means something is wrong. Diabetes and infection are the most common things that can cause excessive urination. There are two kinds of diabetes – diabetes mellitus (sugar appears in the urine) and diabetes insipidus (your body can’t concentrate urine). With diabetes mellitus, adolescents usually also lose weight despite eating more. With diabetes insipidus the only other symptom is excessive thirst. Frequent urination also can be a symptom of an infection, either in your kidneys or the tube in your penis (urethritis). Usually an infection also causes pain or discomfort with urination. Urethritis typically only happens if you have caught a sexually transmitted disease. Since you bought pads for men, I assume that you sometimes urinate when you don’t want to. Are you sure it’s urine? Sometimes the discharge of chlamydia (a common STD) may look like urine. I hope you will go back to your doctor and carefully explain the symptoms you are having. You need further medical evaluation.

Can cold weather make puppies and dogs have to pee more often?

my 5 month schnoodle just got her first hair cut, and the weather is just starting to turn colder. she all of a sudden has to pee much more often, even has regressed a little with her potty training. she's also woken up a few times at night, where as before she was sleeping through the night with no troubles. could she be cold?

While drinking, why do people urinate more frequently after the initial pee?

Usually they are drinking low alcohol content drinks, like beer.  The volume of water is in the 93-5 percentage range.  Alcohol is a diuretic.  As you drink your first several beers the alcohol is quickly absorbed while the water takes longer.  Eventually you fill our bladder, but there is still extra fluid being absorbed.  You continue to drink more and the diuretic effect becomes larger and the fluid load larger.  So now you must go more frequently.  Eventually you quit drinking, and the alcohol tops out begins being metabolized faster than it was being taken in.  You fall asleep but usually have to get up to urinate.  Eventually the alcohol is all gone and has probably resulted in a net loss of fluids giving you part of the hangover.

I pee alot whenever I get excited, nervous, etc?

Whenever I get emotions-scared, happy, excited, etc- I have to pee. When I see a movie, I need to pee before the movie, in the middle, and at the end. When I pee, I don't pee a little but a full bladder. If I drink a bottle of water, I will pee multiple times about 20 minutes after, a full bladder each time. This has been happening for a very long time, maybe 5+ years. I am a male and 19yrs old and don't know why this happens. It is very annoying especially when I'm out. Also, I have a never-ending thirst. What I mean is that I get thirsty very quickly, but its not like a severe dry mouth thirst, just a 'back of the head' thirsty. I have had blood work done and everything is normal. Is there something wrong with me? No one in my family has this and my family realizes that I pee more than normal.
