Need help, writing an essay about marigolds?
You may want to write about Lizabeth's internal conflict between doing the wrong and the right; she has never heard her father cry and internally she doesn't know how to deal with it when he does because she belives that her father has no weaknesses, Lizabeth with the internal confusion takes her rage out on the marigolds, her internal conflict is between herself and aduthood. As well their is a external confict between Mrs. Lottie and Lizabeth and how Lizabeth destroys the marigolds that Mrs. Lottie has taken a lot of time growing and loving. The marigolds themselves symbolize the little beauty that Mrs. Lottie needs in her life, and when they Lizabeth destroys them because they are beautiful and she is envyous of them and how their lives (the marigolds) are happy and bright while hers is a mass confusion. You should maybe write it with the thought in mind that it wasn't Mrs. Lottie that Lizabeth hated, but the marigolds that mocked Lizabeth with their beauty.
What are Lizabeths internal conflicts in the story marigolds?
is that the book where she messes up that ladys plant if so the answer is she feels bad and she goes throgh her rite of passage

well I have to do an essay, on it, and the topic is "characters in short stories often grow from facing their struggles with both internal and external conflicts" so could you like make a list of LIZABETHS internal and external conflicts, and if you have any suggestions on how to make this a good essay, then feel free to tell me!! I have to do it on another short story as well, i don't know which one yet..... thankx ahead of time!!
