For the future, work on gently exfoliating and cleaning pores daily by using some type of complexion brush and a gentle cleanser like Neutrogena or Pears or whatever you like that can dissolve oil and dirt from pores before they become zits or blackheads. There are expensive electric ones now, but Walmart carries a plastic brush with soft synthetic bristles in the beauty section for about $3 US. One can also use a natural bristle men's shaving brush.Don't scrub hard and irritate skin. Gently after removing make put a little cleanser on the wet brush and use circles to go over the area around the nose especially but all over face and neck. Using a brush regularly will help pores to look smaller because they won't get filled with oil or dirt. Those nose strip are pulling out dirt way down in pores that regularly using a brush could minimize a lot.Never do a full mask on you face within a few days of a big event as it will draw impurities to the surface and temporarily add zits. Typically, a month ahead is better for the last mask if you have not done them monthly for a while.Something to start while you're young to have great, young looking skin later in life is to treat the skin on your neck (front and back if it), your chest and your hands like your face. What makeup makes your face too white during flash photography?
Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. They are both used as sunscreen as they reflect light, but simply avoiding a product with a SPF number attached to it will not help you avoid them. And since they reflect light, in high percentages they will reflect the light from a flash, thus washing out the skin. They are extremely common in makeup of all types and have been for more than a hundred years. But you don't have to avoid them altogether; merely check the ingredients. If these two are high on the ingredient list, then the foundation will probably wash out in flash photography. If they're near the bottom, then you'll probably be fine. Mineral makeups are often based on zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, so they're real big light reflectors. I think they usually look terrible in flash photography (they look great otherwise). I will admit to giggling at everyone's answers acting like SPF is an ingredient rather than a rating system judging products ability to block and/or absorb UV light.
