How to protect our 18 pound dog from coyotes and mountain lions in foothill home of Santa Monica mountains.?

There have been sitings of mountain lions and cayote. Will the latter dig under a fence? Can a cayote scale a chain link fence? Cayotes have been seen midday. Will these two preditors attack during the day if we, as adults, are with the dog in our enclosed yard ? How high does chain link have to be to protect from a cayote?

What should I wear while jogging during winter?

What you wear depends on several factors, including outside temperature, wind chill, your effort level, ground conditions. I have run in -20 F (-29 C) and felt very comfortable at the end of 30 minutes.Wind is a very important factor. If the temperature is 32 F (0 C) or lower, you should be wearing a suit that offers wind protection (top and bottom). Under the wind suit you will typically need far less than you might imagine, and only your experience with what is acceptable to you will be the guide. Even in very cold temperatures you might very quickly begin to perspire. The more warmly you dress, the faster you will start to sweat. Excessive perspiration in very cold temperatures, particularly when accompanied by winds, can cause to to chill very quickly if you stop to rest or walk and that can quickly lead to hypothermia.I prefer a relatively thin base layer of merino wool or synthetic long-sleeve top and tights under my windbreaker. I also wear a stocking cap that covers my ears and wear rather thin gloves.Below 10 F (-12C) I wear a mid-weight or heavier base layer and might opt for a top that includes a hood, or I wear a balaclava to protect my face. I switch to mittens for my hands. The other factor to consider is footwear. In snowy conditions I just wear trail running shoes that tend to have a more aggressive sole pattern and frequently water resistance. If your route takes you over areas of ice or compacted snow I urge you to consider some type of strap-on traction aids such as Yaktraxs or NANOspikes. Slipping and falling on ice or snow when you have been perspiring heavily can be extremely dangerous and lead to death. One last comment. It is far less dangerous to run in lower temperatures and snow (or dry conditions) than it is to run at higher temperatures (35 - 45 F / 2 - 8 C) in the rain. If you get soaked at these temperatures the rain will chill you much faster and you can more quickly succumb to hypothermia. In these conditions I wear the light base layer and waterproof top and bottom.

Should I wear a supporter while running or jogging?

That's up to You!But you are not required to do so..!Main use of the supporter is to support your scrotal sac and rest of groin during heavy lifting activities since the raised intra-abdominal pressure can cause problems like hernia (over months-years)For running you rather need well fitting, light and flexible dry-fit type of clothing.Best option for wearing during running are the double layered shorts which have a compression layer inside and dry fit clothing outside.. (you can find them on Amazon or Decathlon)Hope this helped

Acne problems.. help?

Dear friend,
fisrt of all u have to sleep enogh....dont smoke(or try make it less),have a good nutrition...and if u do some sport it will be better...
secound u have to avoid sun shine ...its better if u use sun protection cream which has the SPF ove than 25% ...any kind of course some brands are better ....and every3 hrs renew the cream if u are out of home or office....and even use them if its not a shiny day...
third always wash ur face with some good soap(not cosmetic) after u removing ur make up....cuz make up damage our skin and even some remover use it too.....
forth....usually hydratate ur skin with the cream(its better if u try to use some brand that are not cosmetic brands )....

First Q is how old are u and of course male or female and which nationality u have?
-The acne treatment depends on what kind of acne u have...we have many differen treatment for therm...
-First Step is avoid sun shine...u can use some protection cream which has the SPF over than 25%...then if u are a smoker have to decrease the number of them....decrease the fat food u take(oily.fast food.chips...)....drink enough water (more than 2 lits a day)....wash ur face with no bacter soap(at least twice a day)...if u are a girl dont use bad brand of make up stuff and wash ur make up as soon as possible(even if u use removal cream ).....if u start any mild sport like areobic or even jogging it will make ur skin better....take good nutrition and vegetable....
-secound we have some locolize solution ...they are antibactrial like erythromycin 1% and ....u can use them once every 2 nights on ur acnes(avoid 2 cm around ur eyes and 2 cm around ur mouth including ur nasolabial lines)....
-third u can use systemic antibiotics like tetracyclin or doxi by the order of ur G.P or dermatologist....
-if non of them work or u have cystic acne with scar u have to use a drug calls Actane its full of Vit A , it has his own order and u just can have it by a dermatolog ...
-we have some other treatments like Microdermabration(its usefull for black spots),pilling(deep and superficial) for make the acne and the scar of them goes....
its better if u visit a dermatologist .
Good Luck
P.S:proactive is just a comercial brand ...not very useful

Does exercising regularly impact your face?

Definitely, it does.Regular exercise when combined with an equally healthy and balanced diet with perfect hydration with water always hits the bull’s eye! That triggers a great metabolism leading to the expulsion of toxic impurities from your body which often aggravate skin irritation, acne, blackheads at the skin level.Coming to the actual benefits of exercising regularly, it miraculously enhances blood circulation to every other organ of your body, including your skin, letting it bask in a natural glow like never before (sans makeup!).And while you burn the extra fat working out gradually, you rid yourself from the puffiness of your face too…bidding adieu to that loose facial skin and double chin. You're then gifted with almost a naturally sculpted face. And just as part of a doting tip, never ever think of exercising just focusing on a single part of your body. Because when you workout, it affects every inch of it.You could check out my fitness journey here where I switched to a regular fitness routine with Yoga & mindful eating. And it takes weeks or months very often. So please ban quick fixes in this domain! There are practically no shortcuts to a healthy body no matter how appealing and convincing the commercials make it seem.

Why don’t modern militaries use full face helmets?

The US Army has been experimenting on and off with full face helmet since the 1920s. The problem back then was they couldn’t make transparent bullet proof material so the only way to provide eye protection was to have small slits in steel, which limited vision too much. Currently the issue is the face portion traps gases, increasing the blast pressure from explosions from non lethal to lethal. Since a large percentage of casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan are from IEDs, it’s not a good trade off, more people would die from blasts than be saved from shrapnel. But the Army is still experimenting with them with it’s Improved Head Protection System, how they plan to solve the pressure issue I don’t know.Edit: A news article elaborating on the blast pressure issues: Research raises concerns for new Army helmet designIHPS 2017CIPHER 2013A few of the models of experimental helmets from the 1920s.Edit: I completely forgot the UK Vitrus helmet, adopted in 2015, which comes with an attachable face mask made by the company revision military:If or how they fixed the blast pressure issue, I don’t know.
