Use black sacks as a base and then make things from cardboard, plastic and foil to attach to the bag. Make a fan/hat from old magazines or newspapers. Make bags and jewellery from the plastic and foil. Sweets that have small foil squares are great as they are so colourful. Earrings can be made with cardboard and foil. Make hairbands too. Make chaps from cardboard and decorate with pictures from magazines. Wands, DreamCatchers, Shields, Cars, Rockets...the list is endless. Just let your and the childrens imaginations loose and have a great time at the carnival :-)

If you just want to feel sexy put some undies on under your clothes and save the embarrassment. Otherwise you would need some help to pull it off in one day. Makeup alone will be a major obstacle to overcome and master. So the best idea, if you don't care who sees you, is to do what I do. Dress up in cute skinny jeans, nice top, jewelry, and shoes, but no makeup or wig. Just go as a feminine guy and don’t try to fool anyone. People will respect you a lot more for being confident about what you’re wearing. If you’re hiding and it's totally noticeable trying to pass as a woman, you will be made fun of and it will hurt you. How can one judge a fancy dress competition? What would be the criteria?
There are a few things i would love to see in a fancy dress contest:-Creativity of person creating the dress.Originality (like a dress bough from the market is definitely of lower standard in my view rather than one in which indivisiual labour is put into).How well the dress compliments the wearer.When given to say a few words the wearer should portray the charecter played as well as if he/she was really the charecter.And now pointers for self like as to what background research one should do before trying to judge an event:-Not to get flown in emotions and give marks to a contestant for anything apart from the dress (like a person portraying a leader of your area , your religious figure should not be given excess marks).Try to be as impartial to all the contestant as possible.Look into the current trends in the competitions.And last never get influenced in giving a decision.“That’s for me ““hopes this helps”

I like the idea of the eggplant - all you would really need to do to create the effect would be get the color right and then make the skirt overlarge, balloon out, then gather back down at the hem - if you got that basic silhouette then you could finish the bodice to make it a nice dress - and cap it all with a cute little green hat in the shape of the stem :)
