Fantasy Football Draft

Who should be in my 2018 fantasy football draft?

I would need to know how many people are in the league as well as how many draft positions there are.Is it a yearly start from scratch league or a dynasty league?Rookie draft?Example: 12 team league with 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, Def.Also what are your scoring parameters? 4 points for a QB TD or 6 points for QB TD….This answer sums it up for me.Disclaimer: While I do enjoy playing fantasy I mostly don’t know anything about the actual sport or the teams. I go full on Money Ball just making my picks based on the stats and win from players who use their ‘gut’ fairly solidly. If you haven’t seen it already playing with something like this is pretty solid DFS Lineup Optimizer for DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy SportsThat’s not to say everyone likes it though. I mostly play with strangers for prize pools but I have a smaller league with friends mostly just for fun and they complain about my strategy because they think it takes the fun out of it.

What do you use to do a live fantasy football draft?

For the past two years, our league has used:http://www.brunosdraftkits.com/Whatever board you use, I recommend a common paper system.I'm in a league that's been active for 11 years, the past 10 of which I've been a member. Two years ago we finally switched to a live, in-person draft. That alone adds significant excitement to draft day. You HAVE to pay attention to the draft. There's no system that automatically clears players, you can't (quite as easily) look up last minute injuries and position battles (or the commish can prevent it altogether) and generally you have to come much more prepared. It's near impossible to have a successful live, in-person draft without having spent at least some time in mock drafts beforehand. Having a common paper system adds a tangible level of interaction above just having an in-person draft. The experience of sitting through the couple of picks before your next one, when someone is reaching for the sheet of WRs that contains your amazing, secret sleeper pick is nerve-wracking. The sense of satisfaction when you paste a name onto the board and people start yelling and moaning about how they were only one, two, three picks away is great. The heckling and the congratulations are made that much better by the 'reveal' process for each pick. Also, using a new draft board each year: souvenir status. For the curious: I am column 3. I did have Roddy White and Hakeem Nicks. I swapped Matt Ryan for Kyle Orton before the season started. I finished that year in 3rd.

Is there a way I can pre-set my queue for fantasy football draft?

The queue is NOT the same as pre-ranking players. You use the queue in the actual draft to stash players who might be your next pick.

On pre-ranking players, do what the other answer said. However, if you want an easier way to do this, just click the red arrow and use a do not draft list. This would be guys you think are ranked higher than they should be. I did this for a league yesterday and tossed out Gronk and OBJ. It's not that I don't want them, it's just I don't want them as a first rounder.

Also, keep in mind that auto drafts fill out your starting roster (including K and DEF) before adding 3rd RB or WR. Sadly, you can't change this, but it helps to be aware of it. You'll be getting a QB, a TE and the rest starting around the 5th round. So make sure you click on the position rankings, as well. If you think Graham is overrated (and he is) move him to do not draft. Same with the other slots.

What happens if i miss my draft for Fantasy Football?

Auto Pick will do it. It will fill out your roster based on the rankings of players available. The problem is that when it switches to filling your bench it doesn't take position into account. So, your starting roster will be filled out, and then your bench will be nothing but 3rd string wide receivers.

How long does a fantasy football draft take?

Depending on how many people show up, half an hour to an hour.

Fantasy Football virtual draft board?

yeah its true pickk any player you want iwth the amount of money you have on the game!

I am going to miss my fantasy football draft on yahoo. Is there any way to have a team automatically selected?

Yes you will automatically go to auto-pick if you are not there. Please tell your league commissioner if you can't make it just so he knows, its just courteous. Now, If you want to select certain positions first, wish to delete certain players or if your rankings of players differ from yahoo's in general, then you need to prerank your draft picks. These were directions I sent a new player in one of my leagues last year on how/where to do it: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/sports/... , I think they are still good. Unfortunately your draft picks will be selected by the computer so you are taking the next available (available being the keyword) according to yours or their rankings (whichever you have chose) when it comes to your turn during the draft. Now I understand that you may have known a lot of what I answered but in case you did not, I figured I would make it as easy as possible, not to offend. I hope somehow I answered your question. Good luck, I have had some great teams auto picked in the past but also some pretty bad ones, lol.
