Fantasy Football Who Should I Keep

Why do I keep losing in Fantasy Football?

Okay so I had first draft pick and my team was pretty much expected to cream everyone. But I'm now 1-3 (one of the worst in my 14 team league). If I were to look, I'd probably find that only Adrian Peterson and Aaron Rodgers have ever exceeded or met their expectations on a weekly basis. All my other players have fallen short on every single week. What am I doing wrong? I have the QB who is shaping up to be the best (fantasy-wise), the RB who IS the best, another solid RB, 2 WRs that are ranked in the top 5 and Manningham who could be the next big player. Zach Miller has failed epically compared to his number 9 draft status and is now one of the most dropped TE's. I originally had the 10th draft status Patriots until they failed miserably and turned to the Bears (thank god). Finally, both of my high draft status kickers turned in negative points in the first game, prompting me to pick up the up and coming Tynes and Longwell when he became available. Larry Johnson is no where near what he was expected to be, Felix Jones got injured when it really mattered, and Bernard Berrian is another huge disappointment (except maybe yesterday).

ESPN standard rules, 14 team league, standard scoring, starter slots are 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, 1 K...

My players (not for week 5 starters)...

QB - Aaron Rodgers, GB
RB - Adrian Peterson, Min
RB - Glen Coffee, SF
RB/WR - Greg Jennings, GB
WR - Randy Moss, NE
WR - Mario Manningham, NYG
TE - Visanthe Shiancoe, Min
D/ST - Bears, Chi
K - Lawrence Tynes, NYG

Current bench...

QB - Shaun Hill, SF
RB - Felix Jones, Dal (currently injured)
RB - Chester Taylor, Min
RB - Larry Johnson, KC
WR - Bernard Barrian, Min
TE - Zach Miller Oak (currently injured)
K - Ryan Longwell, Min

In fantasy football week 5, who should I cut so that I can add Geronimo Allison; Kenny Stills, Chris Godwin, Marquise Goodwin, or Mike Williams?

I honestly hope that this is for a flex position and that your receiving core is much better than the barrel of shit you just listed there. Instead of Allison, you should have been smarter and try and pick up Calvin Ridley or Tyler Boyd — actual worthy starts. However, I won’t continue to rail on you for the duration of this post.Out of everyone in this group, Stills is the one with any serious upside. He’s the number one receiver in Miami and gets plenty of love. He’s just notoriously inconsistent. Mike Williams isn’t a terrible stash, but Rivers loves Allen and Gordon a little too much for him to really get you a ton of points. This leaves us Marquise Goodwin and Chris Godwin, the worst of the fantasy players here. Goodwin hasn’t broken 30 yards this year. 30 yards. This was also while Jimmy G was leading the show, not C.J. Beathard. The only player worth owning in this motley crew is Matt Brieda. Do yourself the favor and drop this dead weight.Godwin is actually pretty talented and good be a pretty good option down the line. However, when the offense sucks like it did last week, his performance really suffered. It looks like Fitzmagic ran it’s course and that was the only time Godwin was raking in points. Unless things change, you can do better than Godwin.Keep Stills and watchlist Williams and Godwin, as better days could be ahead in Tampa. Just banish Goodwin to the pit of misery. Things won’t look good there this year.

Fantasy football newcomer in a keeper league?

Nothing.

Even thought I would love to say that giving him something would be a great respect to him, he gets the team he gets. Now if it happens to be completely horrible, then the first pick in the draft might be nice, or something along those lines to help him out.

Maybe each player on each team drops a person and he gets to pick them up. Nobody extremely good...Like LT, but nobody extremely bad, like the entire Raiders offense. A Kevin Curtis type of player. A middle of the road guy.

Other than that, I wouldn't give him anything. He knows what he is going to get himself into.

Good luck!!

In fantasy football keeper league, can you only keep players you drafted?

Like suppose you pick up players on the waiver wire or through trades, are they eligible to keep? I was told that if you have Adrain Peterson and draft him in the first round, if you chose to keep him the following year you will lose your first round pick. If this is true how would it work for players you pick up from the waiver wire or trades?

Fantasy Football keeper league: Should I keep Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas?

I'd go with DT because the Broncos will be in the red zone a ton, which means (a) he gets lots of yards on the way there and (b) he'll put up lots of TDs.

Then if you have a snake draft (meaning you'd pick first in the second round because of picking last in the first round) you can try to take the other one. So if you use DT as a keeper, you can then hopefully (and probably) take Dez if you want to with the next pick. The first round will likely be RB-heavy with the exception of Megatron and possibly Peyton, so the other would probably be available.

Hope that helped!

When should I make transfers in fantasy football?

Hi there! Greetings from Match Kings Fantasy Football! Here some guidelines from our expert scout that will help you deal with transfers,1. Player Suspension: Player suspensions can sometimes throw a wrench into the plans of football managers. Keep your eyes open for such players who face suspensions.2. Injury: Injuries can rule certain players out for long periods. Keep a look out for players who face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.3. International events: International events such as the AFCON will see players leave on national duty, resulting in them being unavailable for their teams. Pay attention to the progress of these players in the competition and make changes accordingly.

What should my 2012 fantasy football team name be?

For the past 2 years my fantasy team name was "Scoring in Stilettos". I have been the only female in a 12 team league and still a novice when it comes to fantasy football.

Should I keep it or change? And what are your suggestions for a new name? I've become pretty good friends with all the guys in the league so I am open to anything.

Fantasy Football: What do managers do when their kicker's team has a bye?

Leaving in a kicker on a bye week is the clear worst option, so assuming that you're going to make some move, the options are:Pick up a new kicker, drop your current kicker.Pick up a new kicker, drop another player from your bench.Trade your kicker to another team that has 2 kickers, for some silly reason.(3) will likely never be the case, so between 1 and 2, I think it depends on the available kickers in your league, and how deep your bench is. If there's no real difference between the best available kicker and your kicker, just make the switch. (this is actually likely, since most managers just keep their drafted kicker all year, so an unknown kicker having a good year should be available.)If you really don't want to give up your current kicker, just drop the worst player on your bench (like if you drafted someone as a handcuff). You'd probably never start him anyway, and other teams probably wouldn't pick him up, so you can pick him up again the next week.
