Fasting And I Feel Fine

Survey....Is "fine" a feeling?

Well, when I say it like fine is dee-vine! It is definitely a feeling! When I say it like I am wound tighter than a ten day clock it is a cop out or a fight starter, watch-out if that's what you heard over there and be nice and understanding, maybe someone had a hard day. :)

Is fasting safe for a 14 year old?

I have never fasted before, but today I simply decided not to eat. I went through the whole day only drinking water, and I want to continue into tomorrow as well. Weirdly enough, I feel fine and I actually did better in my workout today than when I ate beforehand. I'm a 14 year old girl, weigh around 150 pounds (I have dense bones, but I'm still pretty fat :/ ), and exercise quite a lot.

Can fasting like this be harmful? How long can I go without food before it becomes dangerous? What is the potential damage?

CAN DOING THIS OCCASIONALLY HELP ME LOSE WEIGHT?!?!?!?

Feeling sick during fasting in Ramadan?

I wanted to know was it horrible that I disrupted my fasting today because:
The whole room started spinning around me, I lost strength in my hands and legs, my jaw got lazy and my stomach started hurting. I just got this dull feeling all over my head, and when I stand up and walk around, its impossible to stay up and do my usual things.

I didn't do anything out of the ordinary today. I drank a lot of water last night and early this morning. I also got up and ate before dawn.
Everything was fine this morning until this moment, and I had to drink and eat something.

I've never experienced this during any Ramadan, and I've always successfully fasted, although I do get thirsty and hungry, it is still possible to complete the fast.

I feel so horrible and guilty, but since my back went out earlier today and my headache was not easing up, I don't see how i could have gone through the day as usual.

Was it wrong that I drank and ate?

Is it fine If I observe Ramadan fasting if I am not a Muslim? Is Ramadan actually pre-Islamic? What happens if I observe Ramadan for the ancient Egyptian god Amun?

There is no reason for your Ramadan fasting to be a problem if you are not a Muslim. Fasting is for humans, Muslim or not. Ramadan itself is an Islamic name of a lunar calendar month. You were probably wondering if fasting was done before, and the answer is definitely yes; the Jews and the Christians have been fasting for quite some time, although their exact way of fasting may be a little different. “O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun” (the pious - see V.2:2). - Qur’an 2:183 So, the Qur’an makes it clear that fasting has been prescribed before, to the ancient people. As far as your “observing Ramadan for the ancient Egyptian god Amun”, that is clearly a joke, as “observing Ramadan” means obeying The One and Only God of an absolute monotheism, while doing it for “Amun” indicates honoring another god (and a false one at that) which means practicing polytheism, which is a glaring contradiction of terms. Basically, you want to humbly obey God by defiantly disobeying Him. This would indicate either joking on your part (laugh while you can!), a disease of hypocrisy in your heart, or such a serious mental illness/deficiency that your mind can accept two totally opposite statements at the same time and consider them both true (double-think).

My Hemoglobin A1C is 5.9 percent. My fasting glucose was 98 mg/dl. I am 29 years old. Am I almost diabetic?

Diabetes runs in my family. My Dad is currently on Dialysis for Kidney failure resulting from his Diabetes. I am concerned that my H A1C level may hit 6.0 and I will be diagnosed with Diabetes.

I am 215 lbs, and look like I am in pretty decent shape (mostly muscle.) I love to eat ALL foods, including fruits, vegetables, meats/poultry, rice, potatoes... etc. If it weren't for my Doctor pointing out the increase in my H A1C over the last three years I wouldn't have noticed at thing since I feel fine. Should I be concerned? I am barely sleeping because of this.

Please advise.

Is diet soda ok when fasting for blood test?

Yeah, don't do it. it could make a difference. What you can do is drink a LITTLE water. I've had many blood tests in my life & they actually tell you to this this because it helps make your blood flow easier & easier for them to get it. Of course if they say no water, for whatever reason I wouldn't do it,but I'm sure a Little water will be fine for you to have. Isn't it funny how badly you want things you can't have? Human nature is so weird! Tell me I can't have a cupcake & I'll kill for one....I'd probably never eat one usually though! LOl Good luck & have some water
