Favourite Song By Milli Vanilli

Did Nillie Vanilli record the song Would I lie to Baby?

No, MILLIE Vanilli did not record that song. It was recorded by "Charles and Eddy".

Who is actually singing in the infamous Milli Vanili songs from the 80s?

The real singers behind the Milli Vanilli songs of the 1980s were two African-American expatriate singers named Brad Howell and John Davis. In the early 1990s, they formed their own group, which they called The Real Milli Vanilli. The Oprah Winfrey Network tracked down Howell and Davis for a "Where Are They Now?" segment, which covers why they were willing to provide vocals for Milli Vanilli even though they knew they wouldn't get credit for it.

What's your favourite cheesy song?

It has to be Bright Eyes’ First Day of my Life. Sing this to me and I’m yours lolBright Eyes - First Day of My LifeThis is the first day of my lifeSwear I was born right in the doorwayI went out in the rain, suddenly everything changedThey're spreading blankets on the beachYours was the first face that I sawI think I was blind before I met youI don't know where I am, I don't know where I've beenBut I know where I want to goAnd so I'd thought I'd let you knowThat these things take forever, I especially am slowBut I realized that need youAnd I wondered if I could come homeI remember the time you drove all nightJust to meet me in the morningAnd I thought it was strange, you said everything changedYou felt as if you just woke upAnd you said"This is the first day of my lifeI'm glad I didn't die before I met youBut now I don't care, I could go anywhere with youAnd I'd probably be happy"So if you wanna be with meWith these things there's no tellingWe just have to wait and seeBut I'd rather be working for a paycheckThan waiting to win the lotteryBesides, maybe this time is differentI mean, I really think you like me

What was your favorite song when you were 12?

At the start of my 12th year, my favorite song was Blondie’s “11:59” (I still adore the entire Parallel Lines album) . I wore out two copies of the album in about a year’s time by playing it over and over.Just weeks before I turned 13, someone brought a tape player and a cassette of Led Zeppelin 4 to school and played it in the schoolyard at recess- it blew me away and I asked for the name of the band and album, and bought it the next weekend. Just before turning 13, my favorite song (still in my top 10 to this day, perhaps even top 5) was clearly “Stairway to Heaven”. Zeppelin just about overnight became my absolute favorite band, and has been the musical true love of my lifetime.

What old movie is this phrase from Milli Vanilli song? Is it a Bogart movie?

It is NOT Bogart's voice. I have almost every Bogart film in my collection.
It sounds very much to me like the voice of Ronald Reagan. I listened to the song here:

Ronald Reagan did have a minor part in a 1938 film starring Bogart (as ED Hatch) called ''Swing Your Lady''. A wrestling hillbilly film, but the plot never called for the line, ''this one's for Eddie, how is Eddie, I don't know''.

later: I did some searching for old films starring Ronald Reagan, with another character called ''Eddie''. I found one, from 1938, with Lieutenant Ronnie Reagan and Eddie Dibble; THIS IS THE ARMY.

There are 27 reviews of this film; you could email any one of those people and ask them if the film contains your 'Eddie' dialog.

What was your first favorite song?

How far back are we going? “There's a whole in my bucket “……..first song I liked? Poss….Without you-Harry Nelson??? Now first record I bought, ‘Soley, Soley’ ‘-Middle of the Road’ (coincidently a Scottish band, as I am from Scotland,(double cheer lol). Yes, I dafted on to their main hit with my friends, but this song just hit me, it was soulful (&a hint of gospel), my friends hated it and what possessed me to buy such a rubbish record??? I've love my music right from the start, and has never left me……. ‘I think I was just a bit more ahead of my time,(musically anyway) for my age lol. But, the big start, was being the youngest of 5,I heard different genres, etc coming out of all my siblings rooms, so got pretty good eclectic taste, and always have…… though I love soulful singers, (gutted when Aretha passed), and love the gospel sound, probably more of that southern gospel churches, love the beat, choirs, and that energy…..amazing.Got, Aretha, Otis,Marvin, Smokey, (Atlantic Stax), gospel (older stuff if can find it, though totally loving the modern gospel as well) love Al Green doing his Thang, then have Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Kinks, Stones, bb King, heck, listening to the man himself today, Robert Johnson, Gary Moore, Jeff Healey, Robert Cray, Scotty Bratcher, Sons of Anarchy tracks, Tas Cruise, dark country, country rock, Pink, Britney Spears, Preacher Stone, Kaleo Devil makes three, Merle Haggard, etc, etc……. I better stop there, getting bit carried away, sorry!Remember liking Hello Mudder , Hello Fadder on the radio…..sorry rambled on, and forget any silly words, as my word predictor is terrible, I try and keep it right, oh it's caused me probs. Have a great day

Would people still have a favorite song after they die?

No, maybe, and yes.No, if you believe that when you die that’s it, and there’s nothing to expect afterwards.Maybe, because who really knows for sure? And yes, because if those who love you know that you loved a song, they will remember you every time they hear it. I recently lost my grandfather, who was a wonderful man. He had a very deep voice and loved to sing along with the bass parts in certain songs, like the oom-poppa-mow-mow bit in Elvira:…and every time I hear this song, or it pops into my head for some reason, it's my grandfather I'll think of and smile. I hope I never forget the sound of his voice.Last year, when his health was in slow decline, he had a rare talkative mood and told us about a funny song he used to listen to called “Grandma’s Lye Soap”. A brief search on our “magic phone” found it, and he listened to it for the first time since the fifties. It was dated and scratchy, but he loved it. We actually found a bar of soap called “Grandma’s Lye Soap” and included it with his Christmas gifts. Now, when I want to remember the twinkle in his eyes and his soft chuckle and the slow clap of his weathered hands, I listen to the song and it brings him back to me for a minute. If you have a favorite song, I hope those who love you know it.

Which trivia tidbit about your favorite singer or actor shocked you the most upon hearing it?

George Clooney tried to have surgery in Sweden to implant a live fetus into his abdomen. He has always been fascinated by the miracle of childbirth and wanted to experience it for himself. Obviously he would have required a C-section, but apparently he found a specialist and a fetus donor that was willing to make history. But the pressure from the Catholic church and human rights groups strongly objected, so the surgery was canceled.George had always wanted to be the first man to give birth to a human baby. He first talked about it in People magazine years ago. And he never let go of that dream. This is why he dropped off the radar for about 4 years a little while ago. He was trying to get the details worked out.Crazy!

What are some of your favorite sad lyrics?

Milli Vanilli- Blame it on the rainShould've told her you were sorry (sorry) huhCould have said you were wrongBut no you couldn't do that. No, noYou had to prove you were strong oohIf you hadn't been so blinded (blinded)She might still be there with youYou want her back againBut she just don't feel the sameGotta blame it on somethingGotta blame it on somethingBlame it on the rain that was falling, fallingBlame it on the stars that did shine at nightWhatever you do don't put the blame on youBlame it on the rain yeah yeahYou can blame it on the rainCause the rain don't mindAnd the rain don't careYou got to blame it on something(Blame it on the rain)(Blame it on the stars)Whatever you do don't put the blame on youBlame it on the rain yeah, yeahYou can blame it on the rainThis part of the song gets to me because it’s actually true. The rain doesn’t care about what you go through, it still keeps going no matter what. And sometimes, not everything is really your fault, so why not blame it on something.Milli Vanilli - Blame It On the Rain
