Feel Like People Are Always Looking At Me

I feel like people are always watching me?

This is kind of weird, and I may just be overreacting and extremely self-conscious. But it always feels like people are watching my every move. I can't stay still for more than a few minutes because I have to re-adjust myself to make sure I look okay. I always fidget and fix my clothes and my shoes or rub my face, and I have bad habits of brushing my fingers through my hair and tearing the skin off of my thumbs. Sometimes I don't even notice I'm doing it, I just automatically start doing it and keep going. It's hard to stop for an extended amount of time.

I think I do all this because I'm afraid that people are judging and critiquing me nonstop. I'm afraid to go certain places since it feels as if everyone will wonder what I'm doing and will think I'm weird. It's hard for me to ask something of anyone that I don't know well, or a teacher. And it's especially difficult to keep eye contact for longer than a few seconds. I hate the knowing feeling that somebody's eyes are on me and they can see me and everything I'm doing, and that they can easily see my flaws. So I have to look away every once in a while, because I also hate looking at somebody else's eyes and seeing them looking back right at me.

Whenever I walk into school or through the hallways, I feel people's eyes on me. I feel awkward carrying extra things around because people will wonder why I have it. I have heard my name being spoken by my friends before as I walk by, and it seems like they're gossiping badly about me. And a lot of times, I feel as if I'm doing somethign wrong. If I'm walking to class or going to some practice after school, I get a sick nervous feeling because it seems like I'm forgetting something or I'm going to the wrong place. Then I can only reassure myself by looking for other people and seeing that they're going the same way as me.

I don't know if this is just me being crazy and paranoid, or if it's actually something more serious.

Why do I always feel like people are laughing at me in public?

Haha many people including me feel like that even the machine body; the bold ceo….How much confident we are, how much times we say “Who cares? I don’t give a fuck to this fuckin shit society” but we judge other people and we become so judgemental that we start judging ourselves n blaming oneself even some part of the brain knows that we are not wrong in that incident. Plus we care what people think about us. This all shit mixes and makes us so conscious that in public, if few strangers in a group are laughing on something, it seems like they are laughing on us.There may be another reason for it; like I am a slim person (In India, people really judge you if you are slim even I weight 54Kg) plus am deep thinker and kickass observer; a lot of processing goes in my brain and might be, I don’t look normal in public. Even I don’t want to but I study psychology live like understanding people actions, I watch things like any rough pattern at compartments of metro train so closely (even from three feet with unshaken eyes for 15 seconds) that people may think I’m psycho.Just be genuinely confident; and that odd part would not come on your face. What you think, you will become that thing. What you fear, that thing will come for you (deep inside you think that even strangers judge you and laugh on you, and it actually happens). It’s power of attraction; what you attract (think deeply), it happens. There are successful people who are slim or who have weird face or unorthodox looks, but people don’t laugh on them not because they are successful. Good for nothing people always want to pull people even successful ones by criticizing them even when they have no good reasons for it. They don’t laugh because the successful people believe in themselves and generate so much of positive energy; they think good and good happens…! #LawOfUniverseIf your known ones, friends laugh on you…. then it’s some problem in you. Ask them, and work on it…!

Why do people always give me weird looks?

omg i feel the same way sometimes when ppl laugh and they r looking at me i automatically have to go to the bathroom to see if there is anything funny on me!

Why do I always feel like people are staring at me?

"I'm scared, my hands are sweaty, and I feel as if I am going to vomit. Why are they staring at me? It must be the way I look. I bet they think I'm crazy. They are whispering to each other. I bet they notice that I am freaking out."

These are the thoughts that many people have with social anxiety symptoms. Though these are some of the thoughts they face the feelings can be extremely overwhelming. People with social anxiety or social panic have an overwhelming sense of nervousness or they are very self conscious when they are in a social situation or in the presence of people. They often have a fear of being judged, they feel embarrassed, and often times they will worry weeks in advance about something that is going to take place. Sometimes the symptoms get so bad they miss school or work, and it makes it hard to keep friends.

Many sufferers realize that their fears are extreme and some have even confronted their fears face to face, but because they don't know how to control the social anxiety symptoms and overcome them, it just keeps reappearing. Usually sufferers will worry how they were looked at

I feel like people are always watching me?

It's natural to look at people randomly, sometimes even stare at random people. This can lead to some confusion. Its probably just people being aware of their surroundings, and nothing more. Or maybe you do stand out. If that's the case, good or bad, you shouldn't worry about it. It's just natural curiosity on their part and you should just dismiss it

Why do people always look at me when I'm out in public? I don't have a low self esteem nor am I paranoid but I always seem to capture peoples attention. It makes me uncomfortable.

Well you might be a good looking guy.  People are going to stare.  Why?  Because people were never taught manners.  Barring you don't have gross tattoos, a huge chunk of your face missing or whatever, i'd say you're dealing with bad manners and poor etiquette. Also, people love to stare at pretty people.  It makes them feel good. Give them a little joy in their otherwise mundane and boring lives.Have fun with it.
