Feeling Sick When Eating - What Is Wrong With Me

I`m never hungry and feel sick when I eat what is wrong with me?

First of all, I do NOT have an eating disorder such as anorexia or anything like that. I would want more than ANYTHING to be able to eat and enjoy food.

This started while recovering from brain surgery for "chiari malformation" 3 years ago. My body is never hungry. I feel full all the time, like I just ate a huge meal. When I try to eat it`s like the feeling of trying to take one more bite of food after you are really full and have eatin a lot already. I feel nauseated when looking at food and when I try to put it in my mouth. I feel physically sick. It takes A LOT of willpower to eat things.

I usually skip a few days of eating because there is nothing at home I am able to consume which as I read puts your body in starvation mode and just makes me more stressed that this is happening to my body and there is nothing I can do about it. I have become depressed and stressed because of this and I know that doesn`t help with feeling hungry either.

Some foods are easier to eat one day and then they make me feel much sicker the next day. - I don`t get that at all- I don`t see how it`s a mental thing because no matter how hard I think about the food being "tasty and yummy".. you know.. it just doesn`t work.

Also, I can`t afford to go to the doctor and my mom doesn`t believe a word I say and doesn`t help me with the situation at all. She only yells at me when I talk about it and makes me feel worse about myself. I`m 15 fyi, I`m also a home bound legally disabled child unable to get a job and pay for my own food. Might I add.. we are poor and unable to get very much food anyways and my mom only buys things she likes. ( what she buys is not something a normal person eats very disgusting food ) I ask her to buy things that I might be able to eat and she just laughs and says something like get a job and you can buy your own food which is funny because I can`t and I believe that is quite rude of her..... lol /sad face

So does anyone know what the problem could possibly be? Anyone share the same hunger issue?

Why do I feel sick when eating meats?

There can be so many reasons to feel sick when eating meat. And most of the time it is really difficult to say what exactly the problem is for somebody from the outside. So sometimes you have to be your own doctor in a way by asking yourself questions. When does this happen? When did it start? Does it happen every time? Does it happen with every type of meat?First of all feeling sick, especially after eating something is like a sign from your body that there is something wrong with what you are about to eat. You have to use your senses like smelling and tasting and have to listen to your body’s reactions carefully. Some people are just more sensitive to these kinds of things then other people. For example:If your blood type is A. Your body can’t tolerate red meat at all. Even white meat can sometimes be tough to digest. Only fish like Mackerel, Salmon or Sardine. Not even all fish. But if your blood type is O, you can eat all types of meat. Meat is almost healing for you. Except if you eat it together with bread, for example. If your blood type is B. You can eat meats like Veal, Goat or Mutton. But better not chicken, for example. And if your blood type is AB. Turkey is very healthy to eat for you.

Why do I keep eating even when I'm feeling sick?

If you keep eating even when you feel begin to feel sick, seek a psychologist or nutritionist ASAP.Binge eating can kill you. This isn’t just a “bad habit”, you’re testing your mind, body, heart, etc every time you do this. You’re putting strain on your body, wear and tear, in 30 years this habit can increase your risk of alot of problems. If you’re sick and you eat just to do it, I’d still see a psychologist or some type of doctor.

Feel sick after eating, bloated, burping, what is wrong with me?

For the last 2 days I have been experiencing these symptoms.

I would eat something, then I would get full really fast, and I would feel very bloated, and a little bit sick/nausea (Like I want to puke, but I don't puke). I would be burping for the next 5 hours.

I ate spaghetti 6 hours ago, and I burped and I can still taste the spaghetti...wtf?

What is going on?

Also I had these symptoms ever since I forced myself to puke when I had a hangover a few days ago.

Why do I feel sick after eating fruit?

In this case it depends on what time you ate the fruit. Eating fruits immediately before or after meals (especially heavy meals) is often the cause of the sickness you feel after eating fruits. As we know, our food needs to be digested well before disposal. When we ate food, digestive organs work their butts off to grind those foods and try to digest them. This process takes quite a long time (about 3 hours). So when you ate a fruit immediately after a meal, that means that your fruit will have to wait for the meal you ate previously to be digested first, before your digestive organs can actually start digesting the fruit. If this happens, the fruit often became 'bad’ before they are properly digested. That's why your stomach gets hurt after eating it.To eat fruits in a healthy way you can always drink them as juice, or just simply time your meal. For an example, you are about to eat lunch on 12 at noon, so you are safe to eat fruit on 9 a.m and 3 p.m.

Why do I feel sick when I eat greasy food?

Does this greasy food include breaded stuff or french fries? If you have a functioning gall bladder you can probably eat a lot of fats in one meal without issue. If you feel sick I bet it is because of the breading which accompanies so much fried foods (or bad oils like canola or corn oil). If you eat only a “greasy” steak grilled up with grass fed butter on it, I doubt you will have that feeling. Give that a try. Have some meat and veggie and ditch the carbs.

Why do I feel sick everytime after I eat?

What is your definition of sick?Does your stomach feel stretched, do you feel stuffed? You overate. To fix this just walk around a bit.Do you feel nauseous, have cramps, and diarrhea or throw up? This could be symptoms of a few issues. You might be lactose intolerant. To test this out just go a week without diary, if your symptoms clear then I got some news for you…Don’t worry though, just buy some lactase and take a pill before you eat, it’ll help. You still should go to the doctors to make sure it isn’t anything else. You might have Celiac Disease. It is a disease where you cannot digest gluten. After you eat you may have diarrhea, you feel bloated, nauseous, gas, etc. Go a week without eating anything with gluten in it, if symptoms clear you may have Celiac Disease, but go to the doctor just to be sure. You may have food poisoning.Classic symptoms of food poisoning are stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea. Go to a doctor ASAP!!Good luck ! Remember, I’m not a doctor, make sure before you diagnose yourself that you have an appointment with a doctor.

Why do I feel sick when eating Kraft Dinner?

Is it possible that whenever I eat cheese, I get sick?
But then when I drink milk, I never get sick nor with ice-cream.
Only cheese, especially Kraft Dinner whenever I have eaten it, I have gotten sick.
Could this just be an allergy to cheese or lactose intolerance?

I feel sick when I'm hungry, is this normal?

While I can't say whether it's normal for everybody, since spontaneous nausea was probably my first symptom of MS, I know that when I get hungry I will sometimes even reach the point of dry heaving or throwing up stomach acids. If I do eat but have waited too long into the nausea period, I will sometimes immediately throw back up what I have eaten. I spent an entire semester in college throwing up almost every morning because I had an 8 a.m. class and am so utterly not a morning person I never managed to get breakfast before class. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but I think it has something to do with low blood sugar, as I am less inclined to throw up what I manage to eat if it is something with quickly absorbable sugars. Once I figured this out, I started keeping candies around to eat before eating my actual meal when my stomach is that upset. Peppermint or candied ginger are particularly effective, and the ginger soothes the nausea by being ginger and sugar. While this answer may not hold true for everyone, these are what I've found to be the case for me. Hope out helps you!

I feel sick before eating at ANY restaurant...whats the problem?

You may be uncomfortable in that particular atmosphere.
Eating at home obviously seems fine.
Maybe try something smaller next time you go out.
Get an appetizer and share with friends. Then go home and fix something up for yourself.
Try a drink maybe, many places have great smoothies and such!
Just experiment a little and see how it goes!

I've taken some psychology classes and I think I may know your problem.
If you've eaten in a restaraunt atmosphere before and had gotten sick there - then you may be triggering that feeling of sickness everytime you get your food. Your mind may be recalling that previous moment.
Either way, just wait, experiment and see how it goes, maybe you'll be over it soon!

Hope this helps and good luck! =]
