this is a weird question i know. but does the song umbrella use any figurative language. my teacher wants a to give an examp. from a song or poem. Writers' use figurative language because regular English doesn't convey the emotion desired. In that one phrase, the author illustrates the breaking of day, the play of water and light as well as the fantasy element.
