What should I do about my mother who keeps ruining my diet plans?

My mother knows I am struggling with my weight, and I have been trying to diet for about six months but I find that she always seems to undermine my chances of success. She is pretty overweight now herself and is always talking about starting and maintaining a proper diet, but as soon as we launch into a mutual decision to start one, she bails out on the first or second day by buying something like cookies, cake or curry. There is always an excuse like buying a box of cookies for a visitor coming for a cup of tea, knowing the visitor will only have one or two leaving the rest of the box behind once they leave - which usually leds us both to resign outselves to starting the diet again he next day and gorging ourselves. Well, a week into MY DIET, today, my mum came back to the house with rice, nan bread, microwave curry and raisin cake, and invited me to eat it with her. I think she was surprised that I said I am not eating any of it. I'm trying not to be tempted but it makes me mad that she is trying to ruin my chances of succeeding because she is not serious herself about loosing weight. Does anyone have similar experience like mine? Is there anything I should do or say? Is it possible for me to succeed knowing that the person I live with seems at some level to want me to fail? Thanks!

My husband and I don't enjoy the same activities - should we stay together?

My husband and I have been married 10 years and we're in our 40's. We have a great 6 year old together and we love each other. BUT my husband doesn't like to do very many things recreationally. He doesn't like the outdoors (I love it), doesn't like to dance, doesn't like having guests over, doesn't like going to dinner parties, is not social at all. I'm not hugely social but more than him! He is good to me in most ways, but it is breaking my heart not to have a pal and companion to do the things I love to do with me. Should I just find friends to do these things with? How will we stay interested in each other? Just about the only thing we do together is watch movies a couple times a week, and we don't really like the same kinds of movies. I'm getting a sad and scared feeling about this marriage... please give me your thoughts. Thanks!

I need to lose weight and get fit in 140 days (exercise and food plan)?

I'm doing a trek this summer for 2 week and right now I'm 5ft 1 and 9st 6-8 and I need to lose around just under 3 stone ( goal weight 7st 2-3). I need to be healthy enough to walk up to 2000 feet within 4-5 days and have a body that i like and hopefully is toned swimming .I have not money to spend on gym or even food this need to be done at home and food need to be stuff I can find in the house.and not very motivated right now.

I know this is not long but right now I don't know where to start and i think part of that is my diet, its not healthy I'm cutting out all fizzy drink and stopping the fast food.The thing is I don't have much time in the morning as I stay late (I know I need to stop this too) so skip breakfast or will eat a chocolate bar form my lunch. my lunch that i eat at 11:15 ( but can eat at 1:35 )as im hungry this is normal a small roll a 300ml drink and the chocolate bar. we have a large portion of dinner at 7:00 but between these times i end up eating a large "snack"around 4.

i do not exercise and i have little room to do so around ( floor space) 1.5 meters to 2 meters. I am busy I'm at collage 8-4 and work Mondays 4-9 and Saturday 8-1. + school work
