Information on Neon Tetra Care?

I was thinking about buying 5-6 Neon Tetras. But before I buy them I'd like some information.
What temperature do they live in?
What kind food do you recommend for them?
How many gallons of water would be best for them?
Could they live in a 2 or 3 gallon tank?
Do they live well with guppies?
Do the male neon tetra's fight?
Do they need a heater or a filter?
Please add more information about the care of Neon Tetras.
I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Salamander care and information?

I just got a salamander , Im not sure what species it is . The employee at the fish store I went to , to get it said when they got it in it didn't have a species name . He said he thought it was a mud puppy but was not 100% sure . He also said it would be okay to keep in my 10 gallon tank with my Betta fish . I want to know care and information for both aquatic and land species . And if there is anyway to tell what species it is . It is about 4 or 5 '' long . Any information is appreciated . Thanks .

And can anyone tell me if these products can be used with the salamander in the tank - Kordon NovAqua plus water conditioner , Kordon fish protector , Kordon Amquel , Hikari frozen bloodworms , Hikari tropical micro pellets , Hikari freeze dried bloodworms , HBH newt and salamander bites .

I have a 10 gallon tank , with a heater and filter , I use white aquarium sand , I have hiding places / ornaments .

I need to find information on fish that are called " assorted fruit tetras fish " I need pic if possilbe.

Here's a good website to get you started:

If you do a google search, tons others will come up as well.

I have a few different types of tetras, and they all pretty much require the same care.

Be careful if they were bought at wal-mart. Walmart hardly has healthy fish, and the several dozen or so aquarists I've talked to have never been able to keep walmart fish of any kind alive because they simply are full of diseases and not cared for properly.

People should NOT be buying other people fish as gifts, especially if that person doesn't even know how to care for fish. It's too late for that now, though.

At the very least, you need to start doing some research and will have to purchase a whole tank set up (one with a filter, heater, air pump, substrate, plants, rocks, etc) if you want those fish to have a chance. A whole set up will probably cost you $60 - $100. If you don't have that kind of cash, your best bet is to return them. (You probably don't want them anyway because if you intend on keeping other kinds of fish, they could spread disease throughout your tank)

How do you care for koi fish?

Start with a good pond design that provides depth of at least 5 feet and a good bio filter system. Check your water for balance and change it often. Use uv light system to manage algae, feed good quality high protein feeds in summer and use treats like silk worm cocoon and cooked shrimp. Use low protein feed in winter and stop feeding at 55%. Learn how to manage pond as spring begins. Keep a spare pump. Get to know your fish so you can tell when they are sick. Know how to use salt. Watch for ulcers and learn how and when to medicate topically and systemically. Always buy from reputable breeder and quarantine fish before you add to pond. Keep oxygen levels high by use waterfall feature and airstones. Check ammonia and ph often. Do not name your fish or have a favorite-that one is sure to be the one that goes missing.

How to take care of a betta fish?

Okay.
You can use a fish bowl, yes. But I suggest you upgrade her as soon as you can! Bowls are only okay for the short term, and should never be a lifelong torture. I have a crowntail male in a 2.5 gallon, and I would never ever go under that! If I weren't in a dorm, he'd be in a 5 gallon. :)

Bettas need their water to be around 78-80 degrees, so you will need a heater; I suggest a tetra submersible heater- it works perfectly for my baby boy. Get a thermometer, and watch the temperature. If the heater isn't working, unplug it and plug it in; seriously. I had to do that. xD

My tank also came with a corner filter, but as bettas aren't the best swimmers, I did this to lessen the water flow:: Water bottle, cut top and bottom off. Then cut a line down from the top to bottom. Put the top of that cut on the top of the filter, then the bottom on the bottom. It will look like a tunnel. My betta actually swims through it, and he loves how he can relax anywhere in the tank now, he doesn't need to hide behind the filter!

You must must must have a top on that bowl. I'm not sure about girls, but the boys jump. Even mesh on the top would be sufficient.

Clean the tank once a week if in a bowl or without a filter, AND use water conditioner!!!
I feed my little boy 2 pellets twice a day (he only ate bloodworms for a while, but after a week I became stubborn and made him eat pellets! Trust me, she will eat if she's hungry; if its going over a week of not eating, it might be because she is cold. YOU NEED A HEATER.) I also give him frozen bloodworms about once a week, and Instant Ocean Brine Shrimp (Found at petco-its a gel) once a week. They should have variation in their diet. :)

Please, please, please take care of your betta. As I said, a bowl is okay for short term, but she really needs to be able to swim around! Add a small plant (Again, she needs to move- But she needs somewhere to feel comfortable and relax!)

Watch your fishy friend, and you'll be able to tell how she feels. She won't move too much in a bowl, so it is harder to know if she is sick!!!!!

This needs repeating::: just go for a tank and let it cycle! Its less hard on your fish, and you can see for a while how unhappy she'll be in that bowl. GOOD LUCK with your new finned friend, I wish you the best! <3

How do I care for my injured glo fish?

You dont need a hospital tank unless the other fish are bothering him , or if you are going to add medicine. You can treat him with seachums prime, which is fine for all the fish, and best to add to all new water all the tme anyway.
If you do not have anabantoid fish in the tank "gourami, betta, paradise fish, corie cats..." you could also add melefax to the tank with the rest of the fish.

How do I take care of fish in an aquarium?

It depends upon the type of fish and type of aquarium you choose. If you are a novice to aquarium keeping you can start with platy or gold fish. All fishes require good filtration. The size of aquarium tank depends on the type of fish you choose and the space available in your home/office to the keep aquarium.Rectangular shaped aquarium tanks are always recommended. All aquariums require aerators and filters . It is always advised to remove 10 % of water from the aquarium on a daily basis. It will be better if we use natural plants .It will help both in aeration and filtration of water.Direct sunlight should not be allowed to fall on the aquarium. For more information i suggest you a book - " Aquarium - Fish keeping"  written by " Dr. C.B.L. Srivastava ".
