Is it normal for dashboard lights to be on when ignition is off?
On some cars the lights stay on for like 30 seconds after the ignition is off. But if they are on all the time even when the light switch is fully off, something is wrong, that is NOT normal.That happens sometimes due to somebody wiring some accessory to the nearest hot wire, which might be the dash lights wire. That’s fine unless there is another source of power to the device, and that feeds back up the dash lights wire.The old Audi’s had this bug— if you held the high-beams flash switch, that would feed power back into the accessory circuit, even when the key was out. They considered that a “feature” not a “bug”, as it let you close the sunroof without the key.Anyway, if someone has done some wiring lately, that’s probably the problem. Has someone added a security system, a radio, an amplifier, or something else electrical? That’s probably it.If nothing has been messed with lately, then it’s likely that there is a short in the module that controls the lights. In the olden days the lights had a regular plain old switch, those very rarely failed. Today they use transistors to do the switching and they do sometimes fail, usually shorting out. They can be helped along toward shorting out if someone accidentally shorts out the cigar-lighter power outlet, with like a bad charger cord.

Left turn signal not working on my 600RR. Advice please.?
Whats up guys I need advice! I am not very mechanically inclined and today I noticed my left turn signal on my tail light is not working! It has the after market ones and are inside the brake light also. IDK how that works! is it simple to fix or should I let a dealer handle it? Last question also. Is it bad to double shift on my bike. I dont really race the engine of my bike. I am trying to save gas and shift at like 3 - 4k. Usually when the stop light turns green I go first gear till 4k then double up shift to third gear then resume the throttle. Is that okay to do?
Is there any problem when coolant reservoir in my car is low?
First of all, a coolant reservoir is used so as to accommodate the overflowed coolant when the engine becomes hot. As the engine becomes hot, pressure builds up in the radiator and thus some coolant overflows from the cap and goes to the reservoir. As the engine cools up the pressure reduces and coolant is drawn back from the reservoir to the radiator. Thus, reservoir is just a storage tank for excess coolant and it supplies back when the engine cools down.Now, coming to the problem if you see that the reservoir is not having required amount of coolant when your engine is cold then its not that big a problem even if you use the vehicle, but if your engine is hot and the coolant is low then it could lead to serious problems.Also, please check for any leakages in the cooling body as usually the reservoir doesn’t runs low of coolant on its own and if there are leaks then please get your car diagnosed.I hope it answers the query. :)
