For Some Reason I Never Believed I Am Diagnosed With Schizophrenia

Is schizophrenia demon possession? Please help me i have schizophrenia?

When there is god, and you believe it then there is certainly demon.

I was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia by psychiatrist. But i believe i am possessed by demon.
I hear voices which no one else hear. I see humans who no one else see.
Actually when i am writing this i can see a girl sitting next to me, smiling.
I am not afraid of them but they aren't pleasant either.
I asked the voices who were they and they told me they were demonic voices so i believe that i am possessed by demon.

Please tell me how to know if you are possessed by demon

Help me-- scared of schizophrenia!!?

Hi,
I have had the same problem for quite a while. Just when I began to read your text I was guessing that you have OCD (which I have too). But then I read that you have hypochondria, which is a closely related condition (often co-morbid with OCD). Here are a few points that have helped me:

- Anxiety, which is a very powerful affect, is probably the main cause to this issue. When you experience something that you feel may be hallucination or symptomatic of schizophrenia, you get anxious in return. The anxiety itself will make that condition worse (and so vivid and realistic, as this is something that anxiety does. It messes with your head) which will in return cause more anxiety and more changes in your body and mind. I have even experienced distorted vision and heard noises. Acute anxiety (panic) also makes things really vivid and believable. Acute anxiety also happens to change your visual focus and also make you over-sensitive to stimuli such as noise. So this all works together to make you believe that you are experiencing real psychosis.

- Another issue to consider is that you are questioning your sense of reality. A schizophrenic person does not typically do this. They do not usually recognize their hallucinations as unreal.

- In most cases schizophrenia starts to show itself during teenage years. If you are not a teenager any more, the chances are lower. Add that to the fact that no one in your family has schizophrenia, which makes it even less likely.

- Having said all of this, I highly recommend that you still go to a good psychiatrist or psychologist to have an evaluation. Do it for your own peace of mind if not for anything else.

I had struggled with exactly what you described for quite a while, and I know how scary this situation could be. If your case happens to be similar to what I had, then working on your anxiety should be the solution to this. Please feel free to message me if you have any other questions.

How do I prove that I'm not schizophrenic?

Since there is absolutely no test to prove neurochemically that a person has schizophrenia or that schizophrenia even exists, there is no foolproof way to prove you do not have it either. This makes it difficult in my experience to “prove” you do not have an illness that someone claims you “have”because it is hard to defend yourself against charges that can be made by anyone and then backed up by almost nothing. Before i go further with this, let me give you reasons why i say this. I was recently hospitalized with a severe headache, and giving no symptoms of schizophrenia and voicing no delusions whatsoever. However i mentioned that i had attended medical school in my past. Little did i know that because the attending physician had read in my chart of my *past* diagnosis of schizophrenia, he did not believe me, and diagnosed me with schizophrneia and not only that but delusional disorder! That said, you can 1) deny all hallucinations, 2) answer all questions about experiencing any unusual thoughts or fears of persecution with a reasonable and measured response, 3) answer all the questions about mental status correctly, if you can…4) generally present yourself as a reasonable and rational human being who simply wants to cooperate. If the examiner has any doubts as to your sanity, i would ask him or her then and there what they might be and how you could reassure them…You cannot convince anyone you dont “have “ schizophrenia if they are not willing to believe it, but you can do your best to present yourself in a good light. In that fashion, you can make a good case for yourself. I would also bring a witness so if you are “labelled” with schizopjrneia anyway, someone else can help you fight the designation in any appeal. Please, if you do not believe me, check out whether or not there is any ironclad test to diagnose schizohrenia before you undergo any scans or test. Because they cannot test anyone, they cannot prove one has or does not have this problem. In fact there is no clear consensus as to what schizohrenia really is.

Is there a spell or natural remedy to get rid of schizophrenia?

I am not sure you will find a spell or single natural remedy that will get rid of schizophrenia, but don't let anyone tell you that it is absolutley incurable. If that is true, how does one explain those people who once had schizophrenia but now no longer have it? Do a search for "schizophrenia cured" and you will find numerous reports of people getting over schizophrenia.

Just because mainstream medicine has not found an answer for something does not mean there is no answer. Besides, if they had all the answers, why do they continue to do all their research?

There are three schools of thought on the causes of schizophrenia. One theorizes that heredity plays a big role. Another believes external factors are mostly to blame. And the third believes that nutritional deficiencies play a much larger role than is generally believed. I agree with the third school of thought, but believe the first two are likely valid as well for the causes of many instances of schizophrenia.

Remember, the brain is an organ that must have optimum nutritition to develop and function properly the same as other organs and our bodies in general. Likewise, nutritional deficiencies can cause brain dysfunction the same as they can a host of health problems in the rest of the body. One example is magnesium, which is essential for proper brains function and many other areas of health. 90 to 95% of us are deficient in magnesium and people with schizophrenia tend to have lower levels of magnesium than the average person does. Also, the incidence of schizophrenia episodes tends to peak during cold weather months when zinc levels are lowest,

From Phillis Balch's Prescription for Nutritional Healing:

"Levels of, and the balance between, the beurotransnitters dopamine, serotonin ephidrene and norephidring, and the way in which the brain responds to those substances is thought to play a profound role in the development of schizophrenia."

I highly suggest you get a copy of Ms. Balch's book - it contains a wealth of nutritional advice that may be beneficial for schizophrenia. And never give up. And remember, people HAVE beaten schizophrenia!

All the best!

Are there any schizophrenic patients out here who can live a relatively normal life without meds? I'm currently decreasing my dose and would like to know what my chances are.

One of my daughters has schizophrenia. We couldn’t believe the diagnosis at first and she was desperate to return to college, so we prepaid the fall tuition and off she went, so happy and enthusiastic.A few weeks later we got a call from the administration: come at once!I arrived, expecting to take her to an appointment with a local psychiatrist and get her straightened out fast with some meds, but she was entirely psychotic. And did not know it.When I started talking to her, in her dorm room, she began to shriek. I quietly explained that we had to pack and she had to come home. She ran into the bathroom still shrieking. I stood in the doorway, resting one hand on the door jamb.WHAM!She slammed the door so hard that if my reflexes had not been excellent the door would have amputated all the fingers on my right hand.It took months to get her back on track. Another hospitalization, a group home because she was now functioning at the level of a 5-year-old (it was very hard to find an excellent one anywhere near home; we wound up making a 3-hour round trip very often to visit her), and then after several weeks she was discharged to a Section 8 apartment. It then took about three years to get her back to functioning like an adult (she was 19 at the start). She’s now nearing age 40, and has been very carefully following her medication and therapy regime all these years. This has required many sudden phone calls and visits to her psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner to make little adjustments in her medications (the type of med and/or the dose). I think right now she takes five different meds, some to counter side effects of others. Why does she take medications despite side effects? Because she knows how far she tumbled into psychosis when she did not take them, and that she did not even noticed when the symptoms started to creep back. Really scary!By around age 22 she was able to start working a part-time job. She’s kind, loving, and ambitious, and has been working pretty steadily since then, and is well-regarded by her co-workers. We helped her buy a trailer to live in. She has since married. She is a delightful, positive, stable, and productive woman. All these wonderful things are possible because she takes her medications as prescribed. Every. Single. Day.

Schizophrenia symptoms?

Has anybody gotten these answers yet? No, I didnt think so?

1. Evidence That Establishes the validity of "schizophrenia" "depression" or other "major mental Illnesses" as biologically-based brain diseases.

2. Evidence For A Physical Diagnostic Exam such as a scan, blood, urine, genes, spinal fluid, etc that can distinguish individuals with these diagnoses (prior to treatment with drugs), from individuals without these diagnoses.

3. Evidence For a Base-line Standard of a neurochemically balanced "normal" personality, against which an "imbalance" can be measured and corrected by pharmaceutical means.

4. Evidence That Any Psychiatric Drug can correct a "chemical imbalance" attributed to a psychiatric diagnoses, and is any thing more than a non-specific alterer of physiology.

5. Evidence That Any Drug can reliably decrease the likelihood of violence or suicide.

6. Evidence That Psychotropic Drugs do not in fact increase the overall likelihood of violence and suicide

Do you think I have schizophrenia or a big ego?

You might have Schizophrenia, and I won't be able to tell that much here. The rest you have said sounds pretty normal. And I'm fairly certain you could score above average on an IQ test if you practiced a bit and put some effort into it.

There's nothing wrong with liking yourself. It's only a problem if you shut other people out and get yourself hurt in the process. Also, "average" IQ scores aren't any standard for human intelligence. They are an inaccurate way for people who are good at brain teasers like me to feel good about themselves. See, we're all stuck up. I feel smart just posting this!
