For Some Reason My Laptop Will Not Let Me On The Internet. I Can Still Do Everything Else. Help

My laptop says it is connected but I cannot get on the internet.?

If I were in Your Shoes, 1st I would click on the CONTROL PANEL of your NOTEBOOK/LAPTOP PC and then NETWORK CONNECTIONS to see what Networks exactly does your Notebook PC detects? The screen should show all your existing connections...

NEXT in the CONTROL PANEL I would view your HARDWARE DEVICES to see if your WiFi adaptor is properly installed looking to see whether any Yellow Exclamation Marks are shown.

If you have had problems and know it does NOT work properly, I would delete/remove the built-it WiFi driver(s) from Control Panel ADD/REMOVE software then next hopefully your have the UTILITY DRIVERS CD to click & install a fresh set of WiFi drivers...or you might want to visit your Notebook PC Technical Support website might have the WiFI drivers available <= if so, you would have to connect your Notebook PC via CAT 5, 5e or 6 ethernet cable to download the drivers.

You might also want to create a DOWNLOAD FOLDER, to save this WiFi driver file to so you can you run and install the WiFi driver, and next REBOOT where if you installed everything properly, it should detect all WiFi Networks it senses where the next step would be to Click and Connect on the Home Network you created and can identify with..

FYI if the above doesn't work, it could mean that your Wireless WiFi Card isn't quite strong enough or happen to pickup some unexpected interference for now, but might be fine surprisingly some other day bec WIRELESS sometimes is so-so unless SIGNAL is string like at Panera Bread...

Hope the Above Info Helps & Best of Luck!

My computer will not let me download Adobe's Flash Player...Why is this?

My computer will not let me download Adobe's Flash Player..Why is this?
I have Vista.

This is what the adobe website says is the issue, but I still don't understand. I need someone to put it in to dummy terms for me, I don't get how to do things like this on the computer.

Reason

Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.

Issue

Adobe Flash Player is not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser. However, you can run Flash Player in a 32-bit browser running on a 64-bit operating system.

Can someone tell me how to change from 64 to 32 bit? How do I get it to download on to my computer, I have already uninstalled the old one and need the newer one. I am not going to download firefox or opera, last computer i did this to it messed up the computer, but thanks anyways I have internet explorer.

There will be a lot of panic but The world now would be more beautiful for everyone and more tough for some. There will be a lot of job opportunities and eventually a lot of happy faces. Let's see how.No Google means more libraries everywhere. Infrastructure people and librarians can shout a hurrah. No Quora. Blogs will be replaced by magazines articles or newspapers. More quality content for the masses, as crap gets rejected before printing. Who knows more newspaper and magazines may crop up.People all over the world conducting online courses would hire more and more trainers for class room sessions. More Education centers also means more education for all who don't have a laptop with them.Children ruining their childhood on different apps would go play in the streets with other real children. Since we are dealing with hypothesis, who know they might even end up in a library. :)Every online gamer would be seen on the court or the nearby community play grounds.People like me who like movies would actually go and visit a theater or rent a movie. More theaters and more DVD parlors and entertainment based hangouts. More time to spend with friends and family. Since torrent sites will now be unavailable. :(There will be new found respect for data as everything will now not be stored on the cloud servers automatically and can now evaporate if not tackled carefully.Facebook/whatsapp are no longer with us. People are going to now know their friends. And maybe group chats will have a word from everyone. No YouTube. People will look for more bands to see them LIVE. Musicians all over will now have a live audience. People will conduct sessions on the talent they want to spread,Live.Gmail is no longer with us. Postmen will have their lost respect replaced in the society. No porn sites for underage children. Elders can rent a DVD ;)There's a flipside to this No internet thing as well, but let's just concentrate on the positive for now.AND, I will freak out on torrents and create a library that would last me a lifetime. Movies, Anime, TV series, etc. And just FYI I have a few friends who will be helping me out with all the downloading and a life time of data sharing.Cheers!!

What do you want to invest in this? Time? Money? How much of each?Did you spill anything on it? Was the laptop out of your possession for any amount of time (letting a friend borrow it, etc)? The most common cause of laptop keyboard failure by far, is caused by a liquid spill. I’ve had customers swear nothing was spilled on a laptop before I opened it… and only either admit to it, or believe it happened after I show them the residue on the bottom of the keyboard, as well as pictures of the spill residue inside the laptop. If you let other people use your laptop, you have no idea what they did when you weren’t looking. But… it might not be a spill. It might be software. It might be caused by a damaged or loose ribbon cable as a result of a tumble the laptop took. There are some things you can do. You can buy a cheap USB keyboard from the Salvation Army, or a Goodwill store, or from Walmart…. or borrow one. Plug it into the Acer. Can you type with that? You can use another computer to put a version of Linux like Linux Mint onto a flash drive, boot to the flash drive (if you can, since you’ll likely have to hit a key to bring up the boot menu), and see if the keyboard works in a different OS.If the system works with another keyboard, then you likely have to replace the one it came with. If the system won’t type when you connect a USB keyboard, or the laptop keyboard works fine when you boot to Linux Mint, then the problem is with your installation of Windows. You might be able to ferret out the issue.. possibly an infection. At the very least, a factory recovery would fix the problem… if it was only with Windows.

Why won't my laptop let me type?

A: turn off the computer, remove the battery, with the battery removed press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds... this will reset the motherboard. put the battery back in and start the computer. See if it works now.

B: hook up a USB keyboard to the laptop so you can log on, and then system restore to a previous date, you may have gotten a manufacturer/ windows update with a bad driver... restoring to a previous date should resolve that.(Start- Programs- accessories-system tools-system restore)

C: Hook up a USB key board to log on.. then go to device manager (start/controlpanel/hardware and sound/ device manager) in device manager find keyboard, double click it, now double click on "standard ps/2 keyboard" select the "driver" tab at the top of the pop up box, and then select "update driver" (note: you may need to unhook the usb keyboard when you get into device manager)

if there is a yellow exclamation point next to the keyboard in device manager, mouse over it and tell me what it says.

My computer screen is going black for some reason?? Why?

Is this a laptop? If yes, connect it to an external monitor. If you do not have a monitor, go to a friend who has a desktop, bring your laptop with you. Disconnect the monitor from your friend's computer and connect it to your laptop. See if everything is OK this way. You might need to push a combination of keys on your laptop to have it work with external monitor (on my laptop it's Function key plus F7 key. On yours it might be different.)
If it works fine with external monitor, then the problem is your screen and it needs to be replaced. If the same thing happens with external monitor, the problem is likely with your video card. Since video cards are built into the motherboard of laptops, they cannot be fixed and you are out of luck. If all this is too complicated for you, take your laptop to a repair shop and have them test it.

My laptop won't let me watch youtube videos?

sometimes they are still there but you have to refresh the screen to see it..

or...

Turn off web accelerator, if you have one - it may be conflicting with youtube.

or..

It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.
Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.

Or you could watch it offline smoothly... try using 'zillatube' .

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube", and select the first search result for download...

Perhaps it depends on which text you wish to copy and paste. I find that some passages on internet sites can be highlighted, and ‘copy’ selected, but cannot be directly pasted to certain other windows. However I find I can usually paste onto a Word page, and then copy and paste the same passage back to a third window.I experience this in some online news forums. I want to enter a comment from some internet publication (using quotation marks and attributes). I copy to Word, and then copy to the comment window.I think I do this for Quora answers and comments to.
