For Those Of You Who Doubt That People Will Be Able To Get $100 Health Care Insurance Can You Read

Universal Health Care...pros and cons.?

the only way it will ever work to help all people is if it's universal. they way insurance companies do it is they only give insurance to people they don't think will cost them money. so sick people can't get it (unless their job has a plan that covers everyone). so you have to make them give insurance to sick people. they won't do it unless you make them. but you also have to make everyone buy it. if you don't, then people will buy a car instead or whatever and then still get treatment when they get sick. but it's better to treat them while they're healthy and prevent illnesses. and if you don't make everyone buy it, then it costs more for the people who do. there's no free lunch and someone always has to pay for everything. it's fairer to have everyone pay equally. plus it brings the cost down for everyone if the insurance companies can't play their games that are only for their benefit. (by the way, despite the extremely deceptive ad that obama is running, hillary's plan does NOT require people to buy insurance "even if they can't afford it." if they can't afford it, her plan has subsidies to reduce or eliminate the cost.)

I have to make applesauce for 100 people. How much do you plan per person. I have read 3/4 cup & also 1 cup.

Serving a hundred people and with all the other food it should be approx.3-4 oz.per person.

Will US healthcare eventually become unaffordable for the common people?

It's already there. My plan itself isn't costing me much, because it's a single plan and my employer pays the first $4000 in premiums. I only get about $100 garnished from my salary each month. If I actually have to use this plan, however, I'm screwed. It has a $6800 deductible and max out of pocket cost. That's how much I have to pay before any insurance kicks in.With my modest salary, that's borderline unaffordable. It would blow out about 8 months of hard earned savings, but I would survive. If I get married or have kids and have to cover them (at double the current cost, which would not be covered by my employer, and double the deductible), it's completely unfeasible. And premiums keep going up. Deductibles keep going up. This time next year? I will not be able to afford basic healthcare. This wasn't a problem just three years ago! At that time, premiums were low enough that my employer covered 100 percent of costs, and my deductible was a manageable $600. Healthcare increases over the last three years have effectively cancelled out any raises or bonuses I've gotten in that time. And this from a degree holding software consultant with five years of experience! Supposedly one of the more lucrative fields these days. People in fields with a lower pay scale are just completely fucked.Healthcare in America is broken.

What happens when you get caught counting cards at a casino?

Iv'e been practicing counting cards in blackjack (21) for a while now and i'm pretty good. Iv'e also got 90% of the basic strategy memorized. I'm going to Las Vegas soon and I want to try it out there at a blackjack game in one of the casinos but i'm worried about getting caught. I know the casinos in vegas have the Trapwire surveillance systems so they can pretty much see every little thing, but I wanted to know how easy it is for the casinos to spot card counting...? How often do people get caught and what all happens? I hear that some will tell you to leave and others will take you to 'the back' and interrogate you. Once they catch you doing this, are you permanently kicked out and never allowed back into that casino again??? I also heard that once you're kicked out of one casino, they alert all the others and you will be banned from them as well. This is what i'm afraid of. I'd love to make a lot of money from card counting but if I get caught doing it just once at one casino, I don't want to be permanently kicked out of all other casinos in Las Vegas. So my question(s) are:

How easy is it to get caught & how often do people get caught?

Will you be temporarily or permanently kicked out the casino and if so, is it just the casino or the whole property you're not allowed to go in? (example: if I wanted to still go into one of the restaurants or get a room on the property, will I not be allowed to just because I got kicked out the casino?)

Is it true that if you're kicked out of one, that one casino will alert the others and you will be banned from all other casinos in Las Vegas?

I owe over 100k in Credit card debt...advice?

I have numerous businesses, and numerous credit cards. I had impeccable credit until about 3 months ago, when the brown stuff hit the fan, and a lot of debt caught up with me. I feel totally responsible for the debt, but I thought it was more important to pay the medical bills for my twins that were born 3 months early (they each have over 1.5M in medical bills...but I do have some insurance), than to pay my monthly minimums. The majority of my businesses are now costing me money monthly, and I can barely cover the bills. I have managed to keep all my mtg payments on time (I do have rentals, but not much equity..if any..in all of them) but I have missed the past 3 months payments on 8 or 9 credit cards, with balances totaling 130k or so. I get calls all day long, but decided to not answer any of them. I have spoken with not even one of the creditors in 3 months, and only a few leave msgs. I owe all our vehicles outright, and we are trying to sell one now...to pay off some bills...so there is no repo issues yet. I really hope to get some things I have in the works going, and hope to make deals with all of them to pay them in full....but who knows when or if that will happen. I am not real comfortable with BK, as I feel I am responsible for the debt I have taken on. To be taken to court do I need to be notified officially, or just regular mail? Can I be sent to jail for debt? Not sure what to do.....do I call the creditors and let them know I will pay soon? Do I let it ride for now? Is it better to deal with the creditors, or wait till they sell the debt to a collection company..... Any advice is appreciated.

Is it normal nowadays for U.S. physicians to charge $100+ to fill out a 2-page form for a patient?

Medicaid patients would never be expected to pay their own bills. That defeats the purpose of providing this program as a resource to the aid of those who are below the poverty level. Legally, if you signed paperwork to the effect that you agree to pay whatever your insurance won't, there may be an issue. The larger question aside, technically, the professionally can set his fees at whatever level the market will allow. His time spent to complete your form would have been otherwise spent productively. The fact that he is the gatekeeper to your disability benefits should amount to some value with which you are able to accept rewarding him (or her). The doctor’s office needs to find a billable reason to submit (or re-submit) the claim as part of your medical treatment to Medicaid. It is absolutely a normal responsibility of their billing office to find a way to get insurance to reimburse. The failure is theirs, and turning the bill over to you would be ridiculous. If they accept Medicaid to begin with, they have to deal with the government’s complex processes to get paid. Generally, when a claim is denied a new reason to justify the doctor patient interaction will be necessary. I would guess “encounter for administrative reason” was sent. It is often too vague to justify payment. They may need to include the diagnosis behind your medical disability. If they have seen you before, and medical claims have bern accepted on those visits, then a resubmission for timely follow-up on those conditions could be justifued as reason for payment. The fact is, Medicaid is in a huge free-fall and payments are coming much more slowly since the new year. $800 billion is planned to be cut and possibly $600 billion on top of that. When we call their phone line for assistance, wait times are over two hours, if any one even answers. Expect less offices to accept new Medicaid, and many will be dismissing their Medicaid clients. If the office closes due to poor financial decisions, they can be of no service to anyone.Sister, things are rough all over.
