For Touhou Fans How Many H-doujins Compared To Non-h-doujins

What is touhou? I'm a noob.?

The Touhou Project is a series of games created by Team Shanghai Alice, which is the name of the one man team created by ZUN. ZUN creates everything in the official Touhou games (Characters, Art, Music, Story, Dialog, Programming). The series holds the world record for the "Most Prolific Fan-made Shooter Series" ever.

The first game was released in 1996. There are now 14 official games and 7 official spin-offs. The main 14 games are bullet hell games. If you've played Galaga, it's kind of similar to that, You move your character around the screen dodging bullets while shooting back at the enemy. The Touhou games are famous for being extremely difficult. You can find gameplay videos on Youtube to get an idea of what I'm talking about. The spin-off games are fighters and "photo-bullet hell" games. Again I'd recommend looking up gameplay on Youtube.

The Touhou fandom are some of the most dedicated fans of any series. Yes there's Touhou hentai (porn), but that's only part of the fandom. There are also tons of artists, music groups, game developers, and cosplayers who create fan made content for Touhou. ZUN has never put a copyright on Touhou and allows fans to make whatever they want as long as none of it is officially licensed.

There are literally thousands of different music groups that make remixes of songs from the games. You can find Touhou songs in any genre imaginable (Rock, Pop, Metal, Jazz, Classical, Electronic, etc.). You can also find a bunch of fan made Touhou games in every genre (RPG, Sports, Visual Novels, Action, etc.). Most of this stuff is sold at the doujin events held in Japan. The main events are Summer & Winter Comiket, Hakurei Jinja Reitaisai, and Spring & Fall M3.

There is no official Touhou anime, but there are 2 different fan made ones. They are called Touhou Niji Sousaku Doujin Anime: Musou Kakyou (Touhou Unofficial Doujin Anime: A Summer Day's Dream) and Touhou Fantasy Kaleidoscope ~The Memories of Phantasm~. Both series are currently ongoing and have 3 episodes each. All of them can be found on Youtube with English subtitles.

Why do people create doujinshi of innocent animes?

Rule#34
But seriously, do you know what doujinshi is? Its just a self published work, it could be anything. From your context, you're generalizing that all doujinshi is just hentai. There are categories of doujinshi and hentai is just one of them.

Moving on, what's wrong with creating ero doujinshi of "innocent" anime? Artists do it for a living, for their interest, or any other reason.
What's YOUR problem? How are doujinshi different from fan fiction? Assuming the doujinshi are parodied, characters are placed in different situations from their original source which people enjoy.

You're pretty despicable for judging them and saying "what's their problem?" You look down on people who's interest and hobbies don't agree with you. How conceited are you?

Does Doujinshi Manga ever get turned into Anime?

This can happen...
Darn it, I can't think of any examples of manga specifically, but...

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni isn't a manga, but as a doujin game, it got turned into a huge franchise with anime, live-action movies, manga, and a wealth of other stuff.

Another doujin game, Touhou, expanded itself to include a huge fanbase of doujinshi and figures, along with an official anime, and a few other doujin anime.

TYPE-MOON, a doujin game maker, is well known in the anime/manga world for their amazing games (fate/Stay Night, Melty Blood, Tsukihime) and created the novel series Kara no Kyoukai, which became an intensely popular series of anime movies.

And as a side note, doujinshi does not necessarily mean it's 18+ or hentai. Yes, there are a great number of hentai (18+) doujinshi, but there are also doujinshi that are All Ages, 13+, etc. just like with manga.

Are there any Touhou Hentai videos or episodes?

I like Hentai, so what?! I know theres weird H-manga and I've already read some but I would really like to know if there are any Touhou H episodes or fan animations or something. Any info would be helpful, thanks in advance for answering and not judging.

Is there any safe site for browsing doujin and manga/anime fan art like Danbooru or Konachan?

http://www.zerochan.net/ (it doesn't have any 18+ pictures like Konachan or Danbooru and it has a tagging system).
Most booru are series-specific. Here's a list of a bunch of Booru ( http://booru.org/top ) and whether or not they're safe for work (all ages or not). I've never gotten a virus from any of them but I'm not certain all of them may be safe.

Edit: Sometimes on certain tags, but not really. I've seen a few pages of doujin here and there under some series but not a lot. Here's the tag for it: http://www.zerochan.net/Doujinshi+Page

Why does self-inserts exist in fanfiction and fanbases?

I mean why? I see this too much in the otaku fanfiction in the anime(mostly harems), light novels, visual novels, and especially in doujins. The most i see is the japs otaku no-lifers fantasizing themselves in the visual novel or the harem anime and pretending that they are the main bland and spineless male leads talking, romancing and dry humping to their 2D waifus. After that they virtually marries them! God...
I mean fandoms that have fanfictions like for example SAO, Asuna X Reader. Or Doujins of most anime like for example Self-Insert (Mostly the faceless male characters with no personality nor unique character designs. Just a ******* boring faceless male that you always see in Visual Novels) X Rei Ayanami. Self-insert faceless male X asuka.

This is not limited only to all anime fandom but also other fandoms as well like Homestuck, Sonic, Twilight, Supernatural, Touhou, Sonic, Megaman and especially My Little Pony.

I mean why is this? I think the fans love their characters too much they fantasize they married them and having imaginary waifu/husbando and children. And dry humping their body pillows!

In the artist alley at anime Conventions, why are artist allowed to sell artwork based on copyrighted material?

Your last question strikes to the heart of it. Many companies don’t really care about artist alleys — the amount of business being done in them is too small for them to worry about, and they realize that people may see the art and then become interested in their product. And, of course, since most anime production houses are outside the US, conducting lawsuits within the US would be expensive for them.Disney, on the other hand, is known for protecting their IP staunchly… and they’re already in the US, and have lots of lawyers already working for them.Getting to the technical points, whether it’s copyright infringement or not is somewhat questionable. In most cases, the artist is making an original drawing of the character, creature, object, or whatever, not copying an existing one. Since it’s not a direct copy, proving copyright infringement becomes a bit harder — one has to rely on more amorphous areas that are largely in the realm of precedent, such as “character copyright”.Trademark infringement is another fallback — but it also runs into potential legal snags. If my product is a drawing of a character, and that drawing is possibly legal to sell, then why should I not be able to use an image of my product to help sell my product? Add in the fact that the typical buyer in this setting is going to understand that this is not “official art”, and trademark arguments become still weaker. In any case, though, most companies can’t afford to send people to “patrol” to look for such minor possible violations. Disney, however, can.

Is there an indie anime scene in Japan? If so, what is it like?

There is. The so-called Doujin subculture is rather massive, filling several huge convention halls, several times a year. And although the lions share of the indie creators contained within are focused on churning out (often adult-themed) comics and novels, there is also a significant amount of Doujin games as well as a small number of Doujin anime. For those, the most common way to do the Animation is using flash and doing it as a web anime. If you want a quick overview of existing web animation animes, anidb is a nice option: AniDB.net - List of Web AnimeMind, not every web anime is an indie project. But it's a good place to start looking, regardless. As for "What is it like": well... weird. And that's saying something, considering that even non-indie anime titles can easily be rather... surprising. Even so, it's not unheard of that some projects get noticed, picked up by big studios, and turned into actual franchises.Erica already mentioned the Touhou Project which managed to ascend into the realm of professionally-produced merchandise despite being an indie project - but another success story is probably even more astounding: The TYPE/MOON Nasuverse, which was turned into full-feature anime titles Fate/Zero, Fate/StayNight, not to mention various movies.
