Former Orphanage Mute Child Ghost Movie From 80s I Guess

What is the best movie you watched as a child?

Goonies, Stand By Me, Return of the Jedi……all-time great films for kids. But, nothing compared to Transformers the Movie. The animated one from the 80s.Everything was different from the tv show we were used to. Characters that had been blasted over and over for 2 years on TV, were suddenly dying these ghastly, smoking deaths. The dopey kid from the show was suddenly a man, with a kid of his own. There had been a time interval between the show and the movie and all these new characters with advanced designs were suddenly on display. And, that killer 80s soundtrack! Ha.One of my favorite parts of the movie Bumblebee, was when he’s flipping through radio stations and the song ‘The Touch,’ comes on for a moment. Big shout-out to us old fans. Haha. Then, of course, came the epic Optimus Prime/Megatron showdown. Still, one of the most emotionally-charged moments in animation history. The scene comes early and the fallout of that showdown determines a great portion of the rest of the story. However, the main antagonist does not turn out to be a simple Decepticon.Watch below for Unicron’s big reveal. And, the Touch…Hey, I didn’t say it aged well, but it was pretty cool to the 10-year-olds of that era. Haha.

What's the best non-violent horror movie?

The Shining(1980)******MILD SPOILER ALERT******This movie leaves you with an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach. You take one look at the hotel and you think "Uh-oh, terrible shit's about to go down here!".And then you're treated to this image of creepy twins chanting "Come play with us".Jesus, just look at them! It doesn't get any better. This one scene follows Danny(the boy) all around the corridor on his bicycle and all you can hear are the wheels and they act like nails on a chalkboard. Yeah a little boy riding on a bicycle freaked me out.Doesn't sound so silly now, does it?And then you have the elevators.Sigh. As if claustrophobia wasn't enough. And then you just have some weird shit like:This. And this. And of course, Tony the imaginary friend, a.k.a., Danny's finger who speaks in a weird voice. And Jack's manuscript.Oh, hi girls! And, of course...here's Johnny! Err....I mean Jack Nicholson.Watch it. It's THE horror movie for non-horror fans.

Why are the modern horror movies so bad?

In my experience, it is because the makers of horror movies have low expectations of their audience, and the studios require certain elements to back, release and market a film.I have been pondering this question for years. As my daughter is in the movie business, I have had the opportunity to ask a few directors the same question.Usually, I phrase the question the following way: Modern horror movies, if successful, are relatively inexpensive to make, and can generate good revenue. Why, then, are most horror movies so full of plot holes that break the internal logic of the film? Why do people always face the horror, alone, with, say, only that great anti-ghoul device, the flashlight? Why do they run upstairs into the attic, or the basement or the bathtub, places with no exits (and places where previous murders probably happened). Why don’t people call for help? Why do people stay in the house where big, unexplained noises occur, knives fly about the room and horrible, bloody faces appear in the mirror accompanied by an orchestral blat? Just because it is dawn of the next day, it doesn’t mean you are safe. Haven’t you seen horror films? Why does the cell phone always go dead at the strategic moment? Why are the car keys always in the vehicle, but the characters fumble at starting the car?Why does the cheerleader always stumble when she is running away? After the 7th murder, why do people still say “nobody will believe us?”Why is the teenage girl always plucky? Why does she face the horror alone? The responses I get are surprising. People in the movie industry actually look at me with a blank stare. Even if they have worked on several horror films, they don’t recognize the move they have made is full of tropes, stock characters and repeated plot elements from other movies. With that in mind, I have seen several good Asian horror films, such as A Tale of Two Sisters, the Audition and I Saw the Devil.
